We moved my daughter into college and she wanted Dennys. It was not packed. The waiter was nice and so was the hostess. My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised with how good everything was! I had the Hearty 9-Grain Pancake Breakfast and subbed fruit for the hash-browns. The pancakes were very good and had cinnamon flavor throughout. Eggs cooked to perfection. Fruit was super fresh. My boyfriend had the Sirloin Steak and Eggs with pancakes and side sausage. Came here thinking it was 24 hours because that's what GPS showed, but they were actually closing at 11 PM. Even so, the server never rushed us out and gave us such kind and professional service. Went for traditional Sunday breakfast a few times here recently. They have the new breakfast menu. Had the pancakes, breakfast burrito, and my favorite, breakfast quesadilla. All excellent. VETERANS DAY BREAKFAST 2023 Denny's, I thank you for recognizing Veterans by offering a free Grand Slam Breakfast to all Veterans. My wife and I walk in and are shown to a booth by the window. The COVID 19 large plastic separators are still hanging from the ceiling. It doesn't bother me, its still a strange reminder of the past. Grand Slam is just what it says, knocked it out of the park with two Bacon Strips, Two Sausage Links, Two Pancakes and Two Eggs. This is a lot of food! I usually have a cuppa coffee and a breakfast bar for breakfast, I needed a nap after eating this meal. The pancakes were warm and eggs were cooked they way I liked them and coffee kept coming. When this Denny's first opened, the place was packed. There were lines to get in. That's how much of a demand the place had. They blew it and blew it big time. Already the Denny's in Babylon has closed and I do believe this one is on its way out. Walk in and it is like entering a morgue. There is no spirit whatsoever anywhere. As others have pointed out, it is a pig sty. The food is disgusting. They frequently run out of things. Some other reviewer stated they were out off coffee. For God's sake, there is a Walmart on the far side of the same parking lot. Wouldn't anyone think of going over and buying a can or two? It is like watching Titanic slowly sink. My experiences with Denny's while traveling around the country have gone from pretty good to downright awful. This location falls somewhere in between. The few times I have been here were both in mornings for breakfast. Decent coffee, and you can't go wrong with their Grand Slam. Pancakes are usually the best option here anyway. Service has been ok by me, but nothing all that special. It is what it is. A chain resto. Can't expect a Michelin Star dining experience. read more

They are very accommodating with whatever you ask for, and if you're not happy with your food, they always try to do their best to fulfill what you want. In the past this Dennys was notorious for slow service and bad food. Over the years this place has become a very good breakfast place. One thing that always seems to happen to me is there is never a hostess at the door, or even when I try to pay. Why isn't there anyone at the door/register area? I'll start by saying that only 1 waitress was taking care of the whole place. Three thirty on a Monday is not too busy, but it was constant. This young lady did an excellent job. My family was so excited when dennys first open years ago. We havent gone in years because the last couple of time we went the service was horrible and the food took forever to come! We decides to give this place another try and again we were slightly disappointed. The service was good and the food tasted good but we came for dinner and the restaurant did not have that many people and yet the food took forever to come. It seems like they only have one cook in the back or something. This was my favorite restaurant until tonight. Normally we have great service and great food! The food was cold coming out, they ran out of steak when it came to my order but yet another lady came in after me and they miraculously had steak. We drove up and down Middle Country Road looking for this Denny's and just when we finally gave up to turn to go to IHOP we spotted the restaurant. Both searched on Google and Navigator gave us the wrong location! Denny's is very popular in other parts of the country but there are only 2 Denny's on Long Island and none in NYC. Their menu is extensive and we had a hard time deciding on what to order. We asked about the new skillet dishes and the waitress gave a thumbs up recommendation. So our meal- Prime Rib & Potato sizzlin' Skillet $7.99- Delicious; the prime rib was very tender and tasty. The combination of potatoes and x was great. Rate 4/5. Chicken & Potato Sizzlin' Skillet $7.99- Also delicious; just as good as the Prime Rib dish. Rate 4/5. Service was friendly and the place is very clean. The parking lot is large. We came here on a Sunday 9:30 am and it was a bit busy. Not as busy as I thought it would be but my guess is everyone is at church. There is a private parking lot right outside. I thought the staff is okay. Nice but brief because they are busy. When they are not busy, the staff is super nice and awesome. The food is okay. My bf got the Belgian waffle slam an the waffle was dry and overcooked. I would have said something if I knew sooner but also it was so busy that it's difficult. Plus in my culture, critiquing the food is not something you do in front of them. But I realized it's something that is acceptable to do at a restaurant here but in a nice way. So we got to Denny's and it seemed crowded but things were moving at a good pace but when we put our nam on the list of people to be seated, the person never called our name and crossed us off that list. After watching people who can In after us being seated it was very disappointing. After talking to the ladies at the desk, we were apologized to for not being called and being crossed off the list and then we were the next people seated but to only have mediocre service. The waiter who served us, Anthony, failed to get us our first drinks before our meal was set on the table which I find unacceptable. Today I went to this location because we haven't eaten here in a long time. We got there around 6:15 and we were seated immediately. Our server, Marissa, was super nice and attentive as she took our orders. The food came out about 10 minutes later, which was very quick. I got 2 chocolate chip pancakes and my grandfather got a Build Your Own meal. The food was spectacular. Everything was perfect. This has got to be one of the worst experiences I've had in quite a long time. I went there for breakfast and tried ordering a fried egg over medium and French fries. I added a side of sausage links (I honestly set myself up for that one ). The place was fairly empty. Only one other couple was there when I came in and another arrived after 20 minutes. As I sat there waiting for my order, The waitress didn't bring water... nor offer any... They did not have the mimosa I requested... nor Irish coffee so I settled for plain black coffee. All is good... When the food finally arrives, I had no napkins or condiments... the eggs were extremely runny. I asked the waitress for a new order of eggs.... And I wait.... and wait....And wait.... I finish my fries... still waiting for the eggs... waitress does not check on table and had to call her over for a glass of water .... Decides to finally check on the eggs only to get yelled at from whoever was in the kitchen... yes I heard that... she got yelled at while simply asking on the status of my fried eggs.... seriously!!! I finally was able to get her attention after a while, asked for my check. Said forget the eggs I already had the fries, I have to go. The person I was with didn't even touch the potatoes she had because the grease was all over her plate. I didn't eat the sausage and all I had was fries and a cup of coffee. She brings my check and am billed incorrectly. Brought it up to the waitress... who did not help. Manager comes over, I explained what was wrong. She says ok. No problem. I'll remove the one meal. Ok great, not!!! The waitress didn't care for her guests... the service was terrible... waited over 20 minutes of 2 fried eggs that never made it to the table and there were less than 10 people in the restaurant, total.
