Went to BurgerFi on a Sunday evening and found it to be a large, "elevated" fast-casual spot located right on Jericho Turnpike in Commack. It was pretty quiet when we arrived, with just one other group dining. We ordered three CEO Wagyu burgers (including one on a gluten-free bun), all topped with aged Swiss and candied tomato bacon jam, along with truffle aioli. We also shared both the sweet potato fries and the waffle fries. The server was incredibly friendly and even brought over a variety of sauces for us to try, including truffle aioli, garlic aioli, barbecue, honey mustard, and their special sauce. The Wagyu beef was cooked appropriately, and it's also nice to know it is hormone- and antibiotic-free. The combination of the savory toppings with the slightly sweet bacon jam and rich garlic aioli worked really well together. Stopped by last week and I must say I'm highly disappointed that my last visit was disappointing. Literally hype the heck out of BurgerFi any chance I get and usually their burger and fries are top tier. My most recent visit unfortunately was not a good one when it came to the food. Service wise and Ambiance wise- BurgerFi is top tier. Service: I've always had a pleasant cashier and this time was no different. The cashier was able to explain the menu to me in detail when it came to their special: Burger, Fries, and drink. She seemed passionate about her work and you could tell she didn't mind the questions. I did feel bad because it seems the cashier was handling 2 jobs- cashiering and grilling in the back. Meanwhile I noted a guy that looked like a manager on the phone the majority of the time and another worker that made an occasional appearance. She even apologized for the wait which we told her not to worry about. Ambiance: the place is always clean including the bathrooms. At the counter where you order, they have a selection of coloring pages available along with crayons for you to choose from- definitely gives a family friendly vibe! They also have a cute wall to showcase art which is composed of the completed coloring pages. Now to the food- we stopped by at around 12 in the afternoon and we ordered the 10.99 special which included the burger, fries, and drink. We were both looking forward to a delicious meal given we've always enjoyed our meal here. It's usually always fresh. -The burger: it was a cheeseburger and we added jalapeños to it. The burger patty was decent however the buns were super stale. You feel like it's a puck and like it's been sitting out for a while. -The fries: oily, overdone, and underdone at the same time, if that makes sense. We had reason to believe these were sitting out for a WHILE and were refried to order. I don't think I've ever had fries that are undercooked but still over fried. First for everything I guess. Ended up throwing away most of these. Soda- the Coca Cola freestyle machine is elite. I say this for any spot that has it. Provides such a variety that of choices! Pretty disappointing because usually this spot is on point. Like I said, BurgerFi is one of the spots that come to my mind when I'm craving a good burger and fries meal. The drastic drop in quality made me think 1 of 3 things: 1. Whether the special is meant get rid of all the leftovers/expiring produce they have in the back. 2. That the cashier was overworked with 2 jobs on her plate- even possibly taking over the cooking in the back with no prior experience to do that. 3. This drop in quality may be attributable to a management change. Either way I will say: BurgerFi- please do better. Disgusting Experience - Never Again I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves a warning label. Walked in and immediately regretted it--sticky floors, and a smell that could make you cringe. The tables hadn't been wiped down in what looked like days, and I saw actual flies buzzing around the kitchen area. Garbage under soda machine you name it Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I don't know. I haven't had this in years and I was around the area and wanted to try it again for old times sake. I got the ceo and the urban fries. I loved that when I got it a while ago. It blew me away the first time. I was very disappointed. The first time I had it, the wagyu burger was so tender and melts in the mouth. It wasn't like that this time. It's not often you get superb service like I recently did at this location. I had an issue with a DoorDash order I had place. The doordasher picked up my order and then canceled it. When I called the store, Tisha was so understanding and went above and beyond to make sure my kids got their food. Tisha arranged for one of the employees to deliver my order and communicated with me throughout. Tisha and the employee (I wish I got his name) were both such lifesavers!!!! read more

The burger has lettuce, Tomato and sauce. You can get it with cheese also. The fries are fresh cut and delicious! Many dessert choices too. Key lime pie, red velvet cake, Oreo cookies & cream. Shakes and cones, custard, the menu includes hot dogs, veggie burgers, beer and wine. Plenty of Outdoor seating is available. The menu is diverse . Indoor & outdoor dining can accommodate large groups. Located in a mini mall so there's plenty of parking. We enjoyed our burger and will be back to try something else on the menu. Been to this burgerfi location more than a dozen times. Always fantastic! Expensive yes, but worth it, yes! This time though, they missed their mark big time! Burger buns were hard and cold, as if it came right out of the refrigerator. Meat was tough and over cooked, no flavor. The disappointment given the price was a jolt to my system. The anticipation of the normally consistent goodness of our expectations were shattered! Even though out of a dozen great burgers here, this one time made it even more disappointing because I will wonder now if I'll get a good burger next time! I don't know why I haven't thought to say this out loud sooner, but I LOVE BurgerFi. I wish there were more than just this one location in the area, as this one is a bit out of the way for me, but I tend to plan routes around being able to stop here. I always order the same thing- the Conflicted Burger, which features a beef patty and a veggie patty, and I substitute a lettuce wrap for the bun. If you are vegetarian or like just veggie burgers, the veggie patty- I think they call it VegFi- is amazing. It is the old-school kind of veggie burger that is just trying to taste delicious and not trying to taste like meat. (They do offer Beyond burgers also. Although I personally am not a fan of that type of thing it is nice that BurgerFi caters to most tastes.) The iceberg lettuce for the wraps is always crisp, and, if I'm feeling really indulgent, saves room for a carb-heavy banana shake. read more

This place is still crap. I keep thinking that it just has to change back into the way it was when it first opened up. I gave up on the burgers long ago but this time even the fries were bad. Really?? How does one manage that trick? I don't cook fries but I can imagine that the oil back there was absolutely disgusting, probably old and dark brown. Just picked up my first ever BurgerFi burger last night and wow... what a treat. I just finished almost an entire week of fasting and was craving something greasy and delicious for my cheat meal. I love that they use absolutely no hormones or antibiotics. Presentation: The box that it came in was like a cool little gift. It was not only cool to look at but was also very sturdy and kept the burger nice and protected. The BurgerFi branding directly on the burger was a pretty nifty touch too. Taste: Juicy, moist, and fluffy. I ate it in about 2 minutes... literally. I probably could have had 3 of em, so it was good that I only picked up one. The sauce kinda reminded me of Big Mac sauce too, which my inner child can't get enough of. Will definitely be back for when the mood hits. read more

I came to BurgerFi a few weeks ago on a Saturday with a friend for dinner. I've tried BurgerFi in the past and have had a decent experience so I thought it'd be about the same. The place is pretty standard fast-casual status. Nothing really to note about the interior but it's clean and there is outdoor seating. I saw they had a pretty nice special advertised for a $10 combo that included a burger, fries, and beer on Thursdays or something. So I got a BurgerFi cheeseburger ($8.47), fries ($4.57), and a drink ($2.87). Total came out to $17.28. I was shocked when I got the receipt. Like wtf it costs damn near $20 to just get a burger, fries, and soda these days? I don't remember it being so expensive when I went to the Woodbury location last time. And my impression of the place was that it was a Shake-Shack wannabe that wasn't as good. Biting into my food pretty much reinforced my previous impressions of the place, but that isn't to say the food is bad at all. My burger was pretty juicy and had a good amount of flavor. It was pretty enjoyable and good quality. The fries were also pretty good. They were nice and substantial, and had plenty of flavor. My drink kind of sucked as their soda machines were a little messed up. I got root beer but it tasted like there was too much syrup and not enough water. The ratio was definitely off. I do appreciate that this place gives you a lot more food compared to Shake Shack. Shake Shack gives you such a ridiculously small amount of food for an exorbitant price. But Shake Shack definitely tastes better. And I still think the prices at BurgerFi are ridiculous. As an alternative, I actually think Smashburger is a lot better from a value perspective and their food is just as good, if not better, than BurgerFi. read more

I've heard of this place for quite some time and finally decided to try it a month or so ago. The food was amazing! I had The CEO and the cry fry along with an Oreo milkshake - I was living large that day. Anywho, everything was absolutely delish! The burger was juicy and flavorful, the fries were FRESH and crispy, the onion ring could use a little work, but that didn't matter compared to everything else. Fast forward to today, I brought a friend and fellow Yelper who was excited to try the glorified burgers of Burgerfi ... but they weren't that great today. *whimpers* The burgers were pretty dry today as though all the juice was pressed out of them. The shining stars were the fresh cut fries and the Five Boroughs IPA they had on draft. If it wasn't for those two items, I'm not sure I'd give this place a third visit. read more

Honestly, super surprised the reviews are so bad! I had BurgerFi back when there was a location in Syosset and when they closed I was so disappointed. Finally got my fix again and i've since been back to this specific location twice and have had no issues. The CEO burger is by far my favorite and both times, it was perfection. Flavorful, juicy and just what I was craving. Their kids meal is a great deal and my son inhales their burgers everytime. The only reason they lost a star is because the fries are terrible - super salty and this last time, they were so overcooked, even my son no longer wanted them. I went for lunch in the Commack location with my son Thursday 09/14/2023 right around noon . there was 1 gentleman before us. the place was empty - our order took 15 minutes , we tried their seasoned fries which were luke warm and burnt . the onion rings were cooked well but Luke warm , our double burgers were way over cooked , not juicy at all and barely warm our cheese was not melted and the buns were cold as ice , I found 1 thin slice of jalapeño , the sauce was good . we paid over 35.00 ! we had higher expectations and do not plan on returning anytime soon! we do not recommend eating here. I've been wanting to go to this place since it opened! Always drove by always wanted to Stop by always heard great things from friends and the reviews are great! Finally made it today and unfortunately so disappointed. Upon entering great to see tables are spread out! Following social distancing! I went with my twins, niece and nephew and no table to be found. I told the young man behind the counter if he knew if a table was taken or not as there was only a tray there. I can only speak of the VegeFi and Beyond Burger, as I am a vegetarian. I can say that I appreciate a burger restaurant that has more than one option. So bonus points for that. I am always leery of food that tries to taste like real meat. This was actually pretty good! I liked the VegeFi very much, and it was dressed very well. The fries were really good. Get it with garlic aioli dipping sauce. The onion rings were delicious. They had great flavor. Red velvet shake...man that was good!
