The food here is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! My wife and I shared The Lobster Bomb, and we each ordered a Connecticut Lobster Roll. The portions? They were HUGE!!! We both had plenty of leftovers to take home (and for a guy like me who can pack it in...that's saying SOMETHING!!!) The service? Jamie P was so sweet and kind. For the piggy poppers we were charged $18, when the menu says $15. The smokehouse lasagna is priced at $26 and we were charged $27. Not really sure what happened here. It was a decent lunch. I got there a bit after 8am on a Tuesday morning and about the half the tables were filled with a mix of families, working people and I'm guessing a few retirees. Many must be regulars since they were greeted by name. I sat at the counter so as not to take the only remaining table for two that was available. I was greeted immediately and given a regular menu and a specials menu. A cup of coffee almost magically appeared and I have to say it was one of the best cups of restaurant coffee I've ever had! They have an extensive menu, everything from pancakes to waffles, eggs in every iteration you can imagine, to oatmeal! I decided on a spinach/mushroom/onion omelet with home fries a side of bacon and rye toast. You choose omelets come with one filling, additional are $1 each. The omelet was good but was helped by some salt & pepper. The home fries were tasty with just the right amount of onion but the bacon was overcooked for my taste though I know many people like theirs extra crispy. There were two waitresses and they both were friendly and attentive. By the time I was ready to leave every table was taken but there were still seats at the counter. Now I know why the parking lot is almost always full, especially on the weekend. If you are looking for Home Town restaurant with good food & great coffee this is the place for you!
