Disgusting. My daughter and I got the same food. My daughter saw right away that there was this big black curly hair and her French toast stack, and she told the waiter right away and the waiter replied well what do you want me to do about it and my daughter who is 11 replied back to her saying she wanted another one. so She brings back another one, then apologizes. then at the end no compensation for the disgusting hair that was found in the food and demanded a tip. I told her straight up that she was not gonna get a tip because she screwed up and her attitude justified that I asked for the owners name to which she replied Logan and refused to give me a business card so I sent a message to corporate about it. read more

Today I got a bacon avocado cheeseburger. Looked appetizing but the meat tasted bland, no taste whatsoever. The condiments were all bunched up to make the burger look fatter, smallest piece of lettuce I've ever seen on a burger. The food was undercooked. The manager was incompetent. A stake was sent back 3 × 3 times it was the same stick. And still raw. And then when it was supposed to be brought back for the fourth time, it never came back.. the manager lied to us and said there was nothing else he could do. Well never come back. read more

ordered a drink, waitress said the bartender didn't feel "comfortable" giving me one because i looked too young even though the waitress checked my ID. told her it was my actual drivers license and the waitress said she believed me but she couldn't make the bartender make the drink which i understood. a few minutes later the bartender ended up making my drink but had the waitress deliver it, didn't like it but i still offered to pay for it separately. i was told it was made with the wrong liquor and they ended up taking it off our bill. THEN a few minutes later AGAIN the bartender brought the "correct" version even though we had already told the waitresses we wanted it sent back and didn't want a new one. bartender had a bunch of rude comments to say such as "there's two wastes for the night" & complaining about what she has to put up with loud enough for us to hear. then she started giving attitude to who i assume was the cook (i think) saying "comprende ? comprende ?" which i thought was unnecessary and very condescending. was a very unwelcoming and unpleasant environment, we felt awkward and just overall wasn't a good experience. if the bartender had a problem with my ID she could've checked it herself, it felt like she was implying it was a fake or something. food was good tho lol. and our waitress was extremely nice and understanding. read more

Went in to get dinner party of 3. Ordered are food waited 20- 30 min for the food. I picked the lasagna. The server brought the other food then told me the sauce for lasagna was for zen. She waited till everyone else food was there to tell me I needed to pick something else. No apology no concession no nothing. Very horrible experience. read more

To Go Order through Uber eats - We ordered two country fried steaks , one with fries and scrambled eggs, the other with hash browns and over medium eggs, and a stack of buttermilk pancakes with fresh banana. What we got Three orders of country fried steak, both scrambled eggs. Pancakes with no banana , and barely any butter (that tasted like plastic by the way) Interesting how messed up this was! Not too impressed. Considering it's a large corporation you would think it would be pretty cut and dry at this point. We didn't have any crazy requests either. read more

We have lived in Canby for many years, and Dennys has been our go to place. Unfortunately not anymore! We went in as a group of 4. We were seated and drinks and f ordered. The problem started with my husband's steak. he ordered it medium, and it came out very rare. We notified the server and she brought the steak back. it comes back in pieces, and still rare. my husband again calls the server over and requests another steak be cooked because this one was ruined. she brought us back the same steak,, now in more pieces. He then asks for the management. That was even worse. First the manager stated he will make sure the food is done properly or just give us a 50 percent discount. my husband asked for the steak. Now we wait another 15 plus minutes. no one is cooking the steak, and we are pretty much being pushed out the door. when we go to pay for the check, they only gave us a 15 percent discount instead of the 50. so they lied, and were brazen about lying. we will not be going back anytime soon. we are also contacting corporate in hopes of resolving this matter. read more

Excellent service & atmosphere! My server, Joel, greeted me as soon as I came in and asked me if I wanted coffee and what kind of creamer even before I sat down! As I sat there I could hear other servers saying "please & thank you" to each other. The energy that was there was something I had not experienced at any other Denny's before. What a great team! I have to say this is one restaurant that you can count on open late with good food and service...I have had to be in the area for a family member in a rehab hospital. Usually really good today.. I am by myself. And not getting good service... Asked for coffee and creamer..tried to get attention for silverware had to grab from another table myself...3 workers standing around talking....had to wait for another table to get served to get a glass of water....most workers Hispanic. No problem with that but rude. When they are all speaking Spanish and my waiter gave them coffee refills I had to catch him as they left table I was right next to them.. don't appreciate lack of customer service cause I am alone. Halfway through my meal the waiter walks by and puts my bill on table...I actually did want to order a meal to go...not now.he has been to the table across from me 5 times and never even asked or looked at me. I do feel because I am single person..I got not good service...no tip. I am on the norm a very generous tipper but don't appreciate this type of service read more

Went in to the Canby Denny's last night for dinner. It was horrible. From the menu that the pages were stuck together to the food. I ordered a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. The steak was so over cooked you could hardly chew it, and when you could chew it, it was tough and very chewy. The mashed potatoes must have been instant and were so liquid they ran across my plate. I actually got sick when I got home and only maybe had 3 or 4 bites total. I don't think the food its self was bad, but rather the way it was cooked. My friend and I used to go there often and enjoyed the food, not sure if they have a new cook or what, but won't be going back. read more

The food is decent if not better than other Denny's. It's so hot in there I will not go there anymore if it's hot out. This business is not managed well, it's always busy you know they have the money to fix the a/c. When is hot out you want a cool place to go out to eat or get a cool beverage. I have frequented this Denny's for the better part of 10 years now and I have seen it go through ups and downs but never to the negative degree in which other reviewers have described. Every time I have visited this Denny's I am met with friendly staff who seat me promptly and take my drink order and give me ample time to figure out what I would like to order for food. The restaurant is quite clean and tables are cleared and cleaned promptly during normal dining hours. Since this is a 24 hour establishment, and the only one in Canby, the graveyard servers can sometimes get hit with a load of teens or bar-hoppers and get backed up. Food is good quality and what you would expect from a franchised restaurant. The burgers are exceptional though. Patties are made fresh (not frozen) and are juicy and flavorful. Get the seasoned fries, and the normal ones can be bland, but I am picky about my fries. This Denny's is unique as it has a sports bar attached to it. I don't visit it very often, but it is a great place to catch a Seahawks game and share a couple beers with friends. You can also order drinks from the bar in the restaurant as well. read more

I grew up in California and there are Denny's everywhere. I've been to a lot of them. Standard Denny's menu. This one is different because it has a bar. The bar was actually packed with the working class Canby locals when I went on a Saturday night. I was just amazed that the Denny's had a bar so I had to go. read more

Usually I don't have a problem with Denny's. Especially the one in canby. But today, I ordered online and they messed up my order really bad. I ordered a lumberjack slam and a build you own Grand slam. They forgot the sausage links for the lumberjack. They gave me wheat toast instead of an English muffin They gave me 2 syrups for 3 orders of pancakes. And they put hash brown tots and cheesey hash browns in the wrong orders. Its not the worst Denny's I've ever been to. The food is crap but what else is new. Its always open no matter what drunken or hung over state you find yourself in, in the late pm, early am hours. In fact, one of my favorite memories happened at this Denny's. I was sitting with a table of friends, and as the waiter was taking the orders, one boy (the last to order) had really worked himself up into a "ready to order" state. So he says totally by accident "I'd like your bladder buster please" . . . The real name was a Blender Buster....Hilarious. I WISH THERE WAS AN OPTION TO GIVE ZERO STARS! The employees and management there do not respect ANYONE. I've tried calling in an order twice, and both times I had to wait over 15mins on hold. The last time I called I was on hold for 20mins when finally a female employee answers the phone says "who's this?" I answer back saying "you must be very busy considering it's taken 20mins to talk to someone" after my comment I was hung up on. We drove over there to speak to a manger. When we arrived all the employees were standing in a circle by the kitchen talking amongst themselves. After explaining the situation and lack of respect the manager looked like he could really care less. Needless to say, I told the manger to forget about it because I could see no one cared. I will NEVER return back to this sh*t hole. You should ALWAYS give people respect, no matter what your job or career entails. read more

I do not believe the owner knows what he is doing, him or the manager. My family had to sit and listen to employees who were off the clock complain about waiting on their checks. The manager or owner kept apologizing and saying he would call get it to them tomorrow. For 30 minutes we listened to constant complaining. Finally our food came and it was cold, bland, and a little gross. My daughter who loves corn dogs didn't even eat more than one, my husband who loves hamburgers got sick shortly after, and my chicken fingers were unbearable.
