Great service, decent prices, no attempts to oversell services -- hopefully we won't need more electric work done anytime soon but if we do we'll call Dennis Electric. The first time I called with our ' Symptoms' the guy who answered the phone suggested before we pay for a service call we have the electric provider check our outside line, because it could be a problem on their end which would be the electric company's issue. Oncor didn't find a problem so I called DE back and asked for an appointment. Our technician was Richard and he was friendly, helpful, professional, and had our budget in mind. He explained our issue well, told us what we needed to do and what we optionally could do for the main problem we had and also looked at a light fixture we'd been having problems with. Turns out Oncor pumps out too high of voltage, buy 130V bulbs! Go figure! Anyway, we did have Richard install a new ground rod and whole-house surge suppressor for us and hopefully between that and getting Oncor to look at the voltage issues we should be set. read more

Our old house has some weird stuff, like the downstairs ceiling fan that plugs in upstairs. I called two well-rated electricians to create a better solution. One gave me a price over the phone. But Dennis Electric came out to see the situation in person and provided a written estimate, which made me far more comfortable. He even got on a ladder to check the brand and model number on the fan so we could shop for a compatible light kit. The morning of the scheduled work, the technician phoned to say there had been cancellations and he could come sooner. I told hime the original time would be better, and he cheerfully said okay. And boom, he was right on time. Polite and professional. Before leaving, the technician removed all the trash and vacuumed carefully in every area he'd been working. There was a small glitch in the job, beyond what was estimated, but Dennis Electric held to the original estimate. I love it when there are no financial surprises on a job like this. Very satisfied! The two techs that did the work arrived on time to do a simple task, mount a ceiling fan, HOWEVER, it had no power, and it was a nasty angle in the attic, but they did it with flying five stars. I had a very positive experience with this company starting with the person who answered the phone to the guy who came out and did the work. I had recently bought seven light fixtures to replace some old, tacky ones in my house and needed someone to take down the old and install the new. I got the name of Dennis Electric from a light fixture company that I frequent fairly regularly and decided to give them a try since my regular guy was out of town. I called to get their rates and make an appointment. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and said someone could be available the next day. I opted for the following day so I could have him come out in the morning and was pleased that I could choose the time for his arrival. The electrician (Chris) arrived on time (actually maybe 5 or 10 minutes early) and promptly started work. He was very nice and professional. To make this story short, he installed all the light fixtures and replaced two electrical outlets in just over three hours and everything works beautifully. I found their prices to be reasonable - actually their hourly rates are a bit less than the guy I had been using. Will I use Dennis Electric again? You bet! read more

David got back to me within a half hour on Yelp private messaging and I was promptly contacted by their dispatch team to schedule an estimate the next day. I just needed a GFI install done, and Arthur, who was very informative and friendly, provided the estimate and then followed up with me the following week. He made a trip from Grapevine to Fort Worth after standard business hours to do the install because he had told us someone would be out on Thursday and wanted to keep his word. He was also nice enough to take a look at the power running from our dishwasher since we had not yet been able to figure out how to turn the dang thing on. Hired these people to get my kitchen in compliance and to be able to use more than one appliance at a time in my kitchen. I still can't do that without tripping the breakers. Here's a list of things they destroyed: compressor motor on frig, toaster, dvd player (and dvd I couldn't get out), garage door opener, sprinkler system controls. I have never used this service and never will. I've been dealing with one of their employees parking their work van in front of my home and then getting in their personal vehicle then driving away. This employee does not live on this street. His father who also works for Dennis does. The van sat in front of my home from 10:25 pm 7/2 to 8 am 7/5. If the other son begins to drive one of the vans then there will be 3 vans at anytime parked on the street. I tried parking my own vehicle at the curb. As soon as I pulled my car into the garage the van suddenly appeared and parked in front of my home. I've also seen some of the "work" the father did for a neighbor.
