After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

I have used the handyman service several times and have never been disappointed . They really stepped up when no one else did. Don't overlook ABC when you have a unique project. When we submitted a service request, a technician came out and determined that a part needed to be replaced. A follow-up appointment was scheduled, but it was canceled the morning of the appointment. No one contacted us to reschedule, and I had to follow up myself. It ultimately took about a month and a half for a technician to return, only for them to determine that an additional component was broken. We were then told that this issue had likely developed because the original problem had gone unresolved for so long. After another delay, they finally returned and completed the repair. I paid the invoice and believed the matter was resolved. The technician specifically told me that no charges would be due until the work was completed, and when I asked whether the payment covered everything, he confirmed that it did. That is why it was so surprising to later be contacted and told that we owed additional money. The most disappointing part of this experience was the management team. Joel, the HVAC manager in particular, was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help resolve the situation. Multiple times I was told that Joel would call me, yet weeks would pass without any follow-up. The last time I was told to expect a call, he never contacted me at all. To make matters worse, everything should have been covered under warranty. Unfortunately, that warranty feels nearly meaningless when the labor charges are so excessive. From the repeated scheduling issues and lengthy delays to the unexpected additional charges and poor customer service, this has been an extremely frustrating experience. Based on how this situation was handled, I cannot recommend ABC HVAC.

We had been finding carpenter ants (started out with 30-50 a day, including winged ants) throughout our house with no obvious trail or idea where they were coming from. He believed the problem was external so he only did a perimeter spray. I was warned that it can take 30 days for the poison to be brought back to nest and wipe them out. It has been nearly 30 days and the problem has continued to get worse. I reached out multiple times and expressed my concern of a satalite nest inside the home somewhere but have just been told to wait 30 days. We were out of town for 36 hours and came home to 90 live ants throughout the house (this was 19 days after treatment). After that, we ended up contacting another pest control service to come out. They were WAY more thorough and seemed more invested in helping solve our problem. They searched inside our home and attic which Aztec did not do.

Never a contract, just treatment that works. The ant and roach treatment included followups for a period of time if needed, and I think I had them do a second application for the ants. They have my loyalty for life after getting rid of those roaches as fast as they did. If you are a DIY type, they will suggest things you can do to prevent problems going forward.
