5 stars for Nancy and 1 star for client care. I booked an appointment with Nancy 18 days prior to the appointment itself because I needed to look polished and professional for an important event. I have gone to Nancy before, and she is a head above the rest when it comes to quality services that last. Unfortunately, when I arrived at my appointment time, two assistants were there already working on clients, and there were two additional people waiting. They asked me if I was okay waiting for them to finish the other 4 people. I told them that I had an appointment with Nancy, and they said she had the flu and I would need to wait for one of them. I always want people to take care of their health, but as someone who has worked in several service industries, I know the importance of communication. Had they notified me about Nancy being sick, I could have made other arrangements, but instead, I ended up paying a service charge at another nail salon for someone to stay after hours for my services. What made me even more frustrated is that they assess a charge if the client doesn't cancel within a certain notification window, so they would have charged me if I had not provided the same courtesy to them. And to add insult to injury- I made an appointment for my last visit, and they made me wait 40 minutes for that as well. The only reason I booked again was because they were apologetic and attentive as a result of their own oversight in booking. Needless to say, I won't be returning. I hope Nancy gets well soon and they re-evaluate their customer service practices. read more

The salon is very convenient to the medical district and the people there that day were pleasant. I went in for an acrylic overlay fill, no tips and ended up with multiple cuts on my fingers. Multiple fingers were filled in unevenly and even though I asked for square shaped, multiple nails were uneven. I paid for my service, but I will never return. I know that blood got on the nail file being used, but it was not thrown away. During the next week, while I waited for the cuts to heal, the acrylic started to lift in the bottom. I ended up having to have it all soaked off and started over again. read more

Ventured outside my comfort zone in search of a new nail salon and it seriously paid off. This is a fairly new salon that opened in January 2019. Truly appreciate how clean, bright and fresh the interior is! Since it's a new shop- they were required to add ventilation at every station which helps manage the fumes you generally are used to having to deal with when you get your nails done. The owners are a married couple and super friendly. I really enjoy that there aren't any televisions and the music being played is low key. The atmosphere here is comfortable and relaxing. The parking situation is easy in and easy out. They also have a loyalty program for services over $20.00. I trusted the reviews and was not disappointed. I am visiting the in-laws and have a regular person at home so I was really apprehensive about going to a different place. The staff was very nice and the place was quiet, clean and welcoming. I had the quick escape pedicure and the gel manicure. I just happened to see this spa when I dropped my car off to get washed. I walked into a gem. The staff is friendly and informative. I was offered a bottle of water right away. Color choices were abundant. The prices were displayed and straight forward. The air was pleasant and cleaner than most spas due to the adequate ventilation. I had an appt on 10/22/22 at 10:15 am with Lee for a Mani/Pedi. This was my first experience at Deluxe Nail Spa and will be my last. I had the worse experience I have ever had at a nail salon, and it all started with my toes. I let her know that I get an ingrown toenail on my left big toe. She proceeded to take the scraper/pointed tool & dug into the side of my big toe. I asked her if there was an ingrown toenail at all & she proceeded to push on my toe & say "does it hurt does it hurt". I asked again if there was an ingrown toenail & she did the same thing. She then proceeded to do my right big toe & dug in very deeply, she again asked me if it hurt & I said yes cause you dug in too deep. She kept digging & digging. She was cutting my skin, not an ingrown nail. As a tech, I would think you would know the difference. As she was doing my fingernails she asked if I wanted them cut, I said yes, she asked how short, and I told her. When cutting my nails she didn't have good enough cuts on the sides so she just tore it off the rest of the way. She showed no even cutting on any of my nails. She just kept cutting. She started filing them not asking me a shape at all til after the dip applications were done. I have dip power all around my nails that was not cleaned up at all. It looks very sloppy. My right big toe now has an infection in it from her digging & stabbing it for no reason because that toe is not prone to having ingrown nails. I have attached photos of my nails right after they were done as well as my big toe which has the infection. I am asking for my money back for this poor service. read more

The only reason I'm giving three stars is because I just went in on Friday and 3 days later half of my nail cracked off in the shower so I had to cut all my nails down because that one nail was so sharp it cut my leg in the shower and I have a 4 year old so it's not that safe around him. I loved the treatment I got, the girl that did them was so nice and I loved my nails, but they were just thin and started cracking off way too early. read more
