I had an amazing experience at Deluxe Nails & Spa. I was greeted and given awesome service the entire duration of my mani and pedi. I used the Groupon for no chip manicure and regular pedicure. Sandy filed well and painted with precision. I came in at 5:30 and services concluded at 7. I even was gifted a full size hand lotion for the holidays- very nice and personable touch. Nail tech Sandy was very sweet and polite, she also didn't try to force conversation the whole time because she saw I was on a quiet business call which was appreciated on my end. This spot exceeds basic hospitality and really puts the customer first. The ladies working here are very pleasant and run their establishment in a respectable manner. Premises are clean. I will definitely be back for another visit. I recommend calling to book ahead of time. read more

SCAM SCAM SHAM! I'm so dissatisfied. My dip nails, I paid $40 for chipped and cracked after TWO WEEKS! ELEVEN DAYS IN FACT!That's unreal, I've been getting dip for a long time and have never had this issue. I called to ask if they would fix them, they said yes. After they were fixed by the same person, Lisa, I asked how much I would have to owe (assuming they would say nothing or a few bucks since I was just there) to be polite. I started coming here about a year ago and I have not stopped since my first appointment. Anna, my nail tech, has done my homecoming, birthday, holiday, and party nails and so many more and I have never been disappointed or upset. They always take their time and never fail to do a good job. Not only do they do an amazing job on your nails every time, it is such a nice environment to be in. This seems like a good place to come to if you're wanting to get your nails done last minute. My sister and I went in for polish changes on our feet. They did a great job. Except, they are very pricy. A polish change was $15 each... We didn't even get full pedicures. I went here to get my eyebrows done with me and my girlfriend and they told me the price is 10 dollars for both so 5 each. I tipped her cash and paid 10 on card. I came home I checked my bank account they charged me 24 dollars. I called back and asked them why and they tried to play it off saying because of the mask there was miscommunication and they said they up the price to 12 dollars. Went here on August 5th to get a no chip manicure. They had a nice selection of colors and the location was clean and well maintained. My nails looked nice when I left, but with a no chip, I expect that it should easily last at least two weeks and then usually it needs to be redone because it's grown out. Unfortunately, Friday I noticed the nail polish on three of my nails started to lift (this was only 1 week after getting them done) and continued to do so throughout the weekend. Today the nail polish on those three nails completely peeled off. There is no reason that a no chip should completely lift when I don't do any physical labor and am not hard on my nails after about a week. I mean for goodness sake, they have a sign in the window of the salon that says their no chip manis last at least 2 weeks (I don't remember the exact wording). If I'm going to shell out the money for a no chip mani, I expect that it'll last two weeks, I should not after just barely over a week have to go spend another $30+ to get my nails done again. There is no excuse for a no chip lasting barely over a week, I can't recommend this place at all and will definitely not be returning. read more

Been going here for about a year. All the techs are great and the prices are reasonable. I feel that this is the cleanest nail place by downtown Arlington heights. They use better practices than all the places I have seen and use actual towels for pedicures. None of this wet paper towel garbage! Just bring cash for a tip. Excellent nail salon! I went in yesterday for a NYE mani/pedi. The lady took her time and did a perfect job with my black cherry polish. Alas I damaged two nails while moving the Christmas tree. I went back in today to see if they could fix the damage. They fixed the damage and applied a new coat to all of them so they look the same and wouldn't let me pay them. Visiting here from Northern California. Thought the service & quality of work was very good. I thought a bit pricing personally. Feel I might have been overcharged a bit. Maybe I'm wrong & should have questioned the price breakdown before paying. Didn't want to make a big fuss since I was treating my daughter in law, granddaughter & myself. As long as we all left happy with their work & service it's all good. Would go back but will ask price breakdown in advance. Love this place Not only is it clean, the staff is so friendly and nice, both with customers and with one another. Some places I've gone in the past seem to treat the nail technicians poorly, and thus the customer experience is unpleasant. I would give this a negative if Yelp allowed me to for the customer service.... The, I think, Latino tech who took me was real cool though! He was attentive when he got to me Three because So I guess for you to be served promptly you have to be White American. I'm Asian, walked in and was told about 15min wait, ok no worries, I have some time. Well few minutes later an American couple walk in and are seated right away and offered something to drink... I didn't get any of that treatment. They didn't have an appt bc she employee just asked what service they wanted, they just walked in...... I wasn't sure about this place because of some of the reviews...but Deluxe seemed to have some good and some bad and I know it's a different experience for everyone, so I figured I would give them a try. I just moved from Chicago so I was looking for a go to spot for my no-chips...Deluxe had decent reviews and they also had a Groupon for a no-chip which is why I decided to go...after purchasing the Groupon I come to find out that the no-chip Groupon price was the same price as their no-chip WITHOUT a Groupon...which made no sense to me. I made an appointment for Thursday, August 4th at 5:30 p.m. I arrived 10 minutes early just in case and they didn't take me until 5:40 p.m. (no biggie, but still...what's the point of making an appointment?) After my no-chip was finished I was actually really happy with the results! I thought I had for sure found my new nail salon...but by Saturday evening (the 6th of August...2 DAYS after I got my no-chip) they already started to chip! And by the way...they have a sign in their front window advertising their no-chips last from 2-3 weeks.....um, no. I get that some no-chips will realistically only last a little over a week, but my old salon in Chicago definitely lasted two weeks, if not longer. And here it is Monday, 4 days later and I have 4 chips on my polish. Not sure I found my new nail salon after all. :-( read more

visited this shop three differ t occasions. the first two were great, this last one was the absolute worst ever. first this young man did my pedicure, never asked how i wanted my nails shaped, if i wanted the scraper or pumice stone. just went for it. Next i asked for a light pink color. i was told i was to dark, pick another color. I agree with the other reviewer who posted. I've given this establishment a few chances, but I will never return. Every time I've had fills on my fake nails, the technician has injured me. In addition, employees gab with each other as they work on customers' nails---very unprofessional. AND---there are always little kids running around. I have nothing against children, I just feel that having employees' children in a work situation is totally unprofessional. read more

I was really disappointed with my pedicure. Right after I left the shop and got home, I touched the bottom of my feet and they felt like sandpaper. I left with rougher feet than when I walked in. Thought I'd try their weekday special. Was quoted $35 and made an appt. for one. Wish I had read your reviews prior to going. Arrived and was told it would be fifteen minutes, turned out to be almost thirty minutes. Yes there was a child going in and out the front door and sitting in reception area. My price increases to $52 because I agreed to salts and lotion while in the chair. Pedicure great but while she was doing my manicure, tech was told to do a pedicure. Another tech finished my manicure. Told her it was smudged. She fixed it. Waited ten minutes, she told me I was okay. By the time I got home there were two more smudges. Techs spoke to each other instead of customers. Felt rushed at the end. Doubt I will return. read more

As a licensed cosmetologist I am very knowledgeable of sanitation. I found this place on Groupon and it was beyond gross when I was seated at the pedi bowl. The person before me got up, they removed the bag from the bowl, waited a minute then had me come back after they replaced the bag. They didn't even clean the bowl or scrub it down with a disinfectant spray. I go to sit down and asked if this was cleaned and she said yes we are very clean here. Hm I didn't see her clean my bowl. As I was seated the girl across from me was also done she got up and all that one did was remove the bag also. Again didn't clean. There are so many infections that you can get from a dirty pedi bowl. Before they started I asked her to clean this bowl and also sanitize the instrument she was about to use. I watched her grab them from somewhere else that were already premade on a tray that was not in a sterilized pouch. She told me that they use this UV sanitizer with her instruments. I told her she went over to a station and picked up these used instruments to use on me and that UV sanitizer is not even on. I asked her to spray alcohol on all of the instruments before I got work done because I do not want to get an infection. If I did not purchase this Groupon I would've got up and left but I did not want to miss out on $65 from Groupon. She eventually cleaned them for me and began working and mind you the water is ice cold. She goes oh I'm sorry it's cold but I can't change the temp since there's a bag in there. She did a great job at my pedi and mani and was very thorough, but I will not be going back due to their lack of sanitation it is absolutely disgusting. read more

I usually come here often to get a full set of acrylics with a close friend. Last week I went on Wednesday, and today is now Saturday. This being around my 6th time coming, I was expecting good service just like every other time. I walked in and they politely asked what they could help me with and I replied, "Two sets of acrylics please." So my friend and I picked out colors and she was sat down with the kind lady that usually does my nails. I was sat with a young man that I did not recognize, so I assumed he was new. At first he was good with cutting my nails, but when it came to sizing the tips, he became very precise. At first I liked that, I wanted to make sure that my nails were done properly. So he was taking his time and eventually I noticed he didn't know how to lay down the tips correctly, and that they were barley on my nails; which I knew would lead to what I'll get at. After all the tips were glued down he then filed, and began the acrylic. The first nail was done sloppy, extremely uneven and I thought that he'd just file the acrylic and make it look better, after my second nail it had already been about 30 minutes. Which made me begin to dislike how precise he was being. He had done 6 nails of acrylics and my friend was already done, painted, and dried. The lady that finished my friends nails then came to me and told the young man she would do my nails instead. She finished much faster and everything was delightful. The tips being laid incorrectly disappointed me extremely. Yesterday my left pinky nail fell off and 10 minutes ago my right middle finger nail fell off. I am extremely disappointed in this manicure and it was not worth my money. My nails after getting acrylics last AT LEAST 3-4 weeks. read more
