Fresh, fluffy, and delicious donuts! Not too sweet either and they have many different options of donuts which I liked. They didn't have any meatless Kolache options, I was hoping for just an egg and cheese one but they don't carry that. However their donuts alone are made to perfection. They do offer croissant sandwiches, kolaches (no sweet ones or meatless ones, just the usual regulars with hotdogs and bacon etc) and they do have lots of drink options from a cold cooler fridge. The doughnuts are thick and fluffy!!!! I am so here for it!! The regular glazed are in a square shape, which makes the size a little more puffier and fluffier. The doughnuts weren't hot, but they were fresh, you can tell by the texture of the bread. I ordered two specialty donuts, two apple fritters. Square(ish) donuts! What?!?! I was looking to get some donuts on National doughnut day (06/07/13) and I was going to buy a deal for some Shipley's donuts. But a friend recommended this place to me and he swore that this place has the best donuts. EVER. Since I'm all into trying out a new establishment, especially one that's not known well, I was like, "coo, coo. I'll swing by and get a box of donuts" The shop is located in a small strip where they have a smoke shop and a "spa" called, "Gold Spa", which is located right next to the doughnut shop. Well, before I even walked into the store, I was all like, "oh hell no. They have Golden glazed donuts; and they're located next to Gold Spa? What?!" But fret not, I braved myself and walked into this establishment. Two (super nice) Asian ladies were working. I'm guessing they were the owners and they were quick! Granted there were only a couple of customers in front of me, but they were quick. While they were helping the other customers, I looked through the menu on the wall and see that they have kolaches, donuts, coffee and whatever other crap yummy stuff that you'd find at a doughnut shop. But as I looked into the display, I began to worry because it was half empty. So when it was my turn, I just asked for a dozen of mixed donuts. The lady actually went to the back and got me some fresh ones. FRESH!!! All this for $6 only - tax included! Sweet. I went to the office, presented the box of donuts to my co-workers and (kind of) forced them to eat them (some are trying to be healthy) and they all loved it. I loved them, too granted that I only had two (I could have eaten four or six, easy). The glazed doughnut is goooood. The sugary one is good also. Took a chance one morning bc it is the only one I pass often going s certain route. It was a huge order with about 7 different ones so maybe that is why they FORGOT ONE. Don't know if it was every selected or if it was left when heating up but it was too late when I had realized it wasn't there. Not only was I short a kolache but the ones I had were not very enjoyable. The dough on the croissant one (which is usually my favorite at other places) was horrible here: maybe they were having an off day this morning bit the crust was DRY AND HARD. I wasn't very happy about it but didn't want to bother calling about it or having to mention it another time I would return. I have told myself i would give them another try one day but I have been extensively hesitant to go back...I feel like I wasted my money the first time around. The owner (Asian lady) was willing to give me the incorrect order because they ran out of regular glazed donuts. She told me she called and the person said they were ok with it. ALL LIES! I told her no, that couldn't have been possible because I'm the one who placed the order Under UberEats but for pickup. She quickly retracted was like oh idk and then walked to the back. Bacon, cheese, and egg taco! The only place I can get a taco and feel like I'm eating a taco instead of a tortilla with some things inside! Friendly ladies who welcome you as soon as you walk in. The only place in Texas I've come across maple bars-- heaven sent!! Donuts are always fluffy and just enough sweetness-- no overly iced donuts here. The kolaches and croissants are fluffy and crisp!
