I am so glad to "come home" to visit Monroe/West Monroe & find such delicious choices like DBC! So delicious, we ate there twice in 3 days ha! The drops biscuits are like savory melt away cookies & the big biscuits have more substance. They have great tasting espresso & the vinaigrette on the salad was absolutely magical. How could you not eat your spinach when it tastes like that? It will be a staple every time we are in town. My wife raved about the Benedict & I tried the hollandaise...probably the best I've had. We shared some deliciously seasoned Brussels sprouts, too. We left so happy & satisfied both times. I have one tiny little thing. Their biscuits are soft, fluffy, and made fresh daily. I would bring home a dozen of their biscuits if I had no sense of self control (haha). My bf got their Sardou Benedict with a side of gouda grits, and I had their classic Biscuits & Gravy -- omg, chef's kisses... that's all I gotta say. We also ordered pancakes (huge and fluffy) and beignets (dense and flavorful) because we wanted to end our meal with something sweet. And they did not disappoint! Be warned, waits can be pretty long at most days of the week and especially the weekend. The longest I've waited was around 1.5-2 hours on a Sunday. But I gotta say, it's worth it! This was my first stop in Monroe last year and I made a point to do so this year when visiting! Place is clean and running like a well oiled machine. The food never disappoints as it comes out hot and fresh. The wait is never that long but who wouldn't mind waiting for consistent great food! A solid place to grab brunch with the family. This is an interesting place in that it has a sleek and modern touch to it with a full open shiny looking bar, modern art pieces on the wall but still a traditional southern biscuits and gravy style menu. Drinks - fairly expensive. Like New York expensive ($11-12 a mimosa). And from what my sister had prefaced brunch with she said they're also not super boozy for the price. So that did not happen. This spot also only is open generally in the late morning till 3pmish. It's a brunch/lunch spot. Not known for doing dinners. But it's probably one of the most popular places in town to dine. I ordered the Sardou Benedict (a biscuit with poached eggs covered with tasso ham, spinach, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, cheese and some kind of cajun sauce. It came with a side salad. A bit confusing on the menu as I thought that an additional side was an option but that's with I think only the Nola Bowl that's lumped together in the same column as the benedicts. I lived and ate half of my dad's gouda grits anyway and tried someone else's duck fat hash browns. Which the two of those I highly recommend in trying. I liked my dish. I liked the biscuits the best part. Maybe not everything cohesively on top of them. Where this restaurant shines above everyone else is in the service. I had probably one of the best waiters I've ever had in my life. Like insanely fast, super friendly, really great at refilling coffees and waters, funny. He immediately noticed there was a stain on my empty glass without my even saying anything or gesturing when I first sat down. He just nabbed that sucker and got a fresh one. Like if I could give out exemplary service awards - this dude deserves a gold trophy. At the time of writing, this business has been open just over a week, and I have attended four times. I have attended breakfast, lunch and brunch and been as part of an eight top, four top and two top. So let me start by saying I LOVE this place! The Restaraunt: The restaraunt itself has a bright and open atmosphere, with plenty of room between tables. It has a spacious L shaped bar where you can enjoy a mimosa, or watch some of the food items being prepared. It has bright and vibrant art on the walls, and feels very clean. The Staff: The staff have been great kn each of my visits. As this is a newly opened and very commended by word of mouth, it has been packed each time I have visited. That being said my longest wait time has only been 20 mins, and the staff were attentive to us during our brief wait. I have had a different server each visit, and every time the server has been efficient, polite, courteous and a delight. The owner has also come to great us on two of the visits to check on our experience. The Food: The food here is AMAZING! Each and every visit my entire table has enjoyed the food. I myself have so far enjoyed the Pork Belly Sandwich, the Ruben, the chicken and waffles, and the eggs Benedict. Each has been the best example of the dish I have ever had! Other at my table raved over the Nola Bowl, and the Burger, which sources localy raised beef. A particular must have is the Duck Fat Hashbrowns (which I enjoyed with my chicken and waffles). Some dishes also come with a Cain sugar butter, that you could just eat out of the bowl. The buiscuits here are also fantastic! As a local to the area, I can promise anyone who visits this great place to eat, will not be disappointed. Best breakfast and brunch anywhere! The food is amazing. The service is awesome. You can't get better service in Monroe. This restaurant is really clean and they fixed the A/C. You can eat outside at cute tables or inside if you are warm natured. We've tried the Reuben, chicken fried steak, chicken and waffles, and breakfast. We have never been disappointed! If you like Brussels sprouts, you can't miss with this side. Consider getting an order of beignets for the table. They are As good as Cafe DuMonde in New Orleans. Personally, the biscuits are my favorite. The only thing is that the biscuits are so large that I can never eat mine and I can't always take it with me.. The Gouda grits are wonderful if you like grits. Anytime we have guests, we take them to the Delta Biscuit Company for brunch. I am so glad that Monroe has a place like this. First time to eat here for my wife and I and we were impressed. The place is decorated very nicely and rest rooms were clean. There was a wait but it wasn't bad. They have waiting area inside and outside. We chose outside as it was a beautiful day and we could listen to the music. Our server was Matt L and he was awesome. Very friendly and made suggestions on what he liked the best and let me say they were excellent suggestions. The food arrived quickly and the order was perfect. I got The Coop and my wife the NOLA Benedict. Chicken was juicy and had good flavor. Now as good as the Coop was it is a far second behind the Nola. The Nola is a wonderful little piece of flavor heaven. Do your taste buds a favor and give this place a try. If you get Matt and your lucky he might take your order using an accent lol. I tried to come here on a weekend and it was extremely busy. I think the wait for two people was over an hour. I tried again during a weekday for lunch around 11:30. Since I was alone I sat at the bar and the service was great. I got the delta slam and it was amazing. I ordered my hash browns crispy, which I regret. I normally do that at places like Ihop bc the hash browns there are usually soggy, but here they would have been perfect had i not intervened. The eggs are really fluffy and the bacon isn't the translucent junk you get at most breakfast places. There was a crunch to the bacon which I LOVE. The real star was the biscuit with butter. The biscuit is in the name, so I should've guessed it would be good. I wanted to order a dozen with the butter to take home! I think it's an apple butter, it reminds me of fall. The biscuit is warm and fluffy and a little salty in places from butter, then you have the sweet apple butter to add to it. HEAVEN. The only problem is I noticed as I was leaving it was getting slammed, everyone seems to already know the food is great. If I could give negative stars I would, to say that my past visit to this establishment was horrible would be a major understatement, to get it out of the way the food was okay and our server was great. The water though...was rancid enough to make my girlfriend sick, which they pour as soon as you get to the table so it's the first thing you get. If you would like to experience it simply scoop some dirt and put it in your mouth pour some water in and then lick a rusty lead pipe and boom you've got it down, so water isn't the only drink in the world it's okay just get a soda right....no...replace the water in that scenario with a soda of your choice and the results are the same. We were not the only people who experienced this, everyone around us complained. The waiter said the water had been like this for 6 months at this point and that they refused to drink it. We ended up getting orange juice which was okay but I felt that since I had been forced to get it if I wanted anything to drink that it should at least be taken off of the order. Well that wasn't as easy as it sounds, I located the manager and that's when things just got worse, I kindly explained the situation and asked if the drinks could be removed to which she laughed at me and said that the water had been tested three days ago and that they can't just go around taking drinks off of orders, she said that plenty of people had complained but the water was supposedly "tested" and deemed legal, I told the manager that there was no way you could serve this to people and she said "well we do" and eventually she said she would take the drinks off "this time" which will definitely be the last time for me or anyone that I know. The manager was extremely rude and completely ignored the issue while laughing in my face. Our server told us we could write our reviews on some tell us how we did slips which I'm sure just get ripped up. Ambiance was eh. The manager on 04/14/2024 at 2:15 was not worth this establishments reputation. read more
