Everything from customer service to flight on time seating comfort. Terrible experience with this airline. have flown for years and never had such a negative experience. Had to sleep on the floor in Atlanta when they cancelled my flight. No accommodation was provided for food lodging. Offered no tell motel that charges by the minute. Stood in line for horrible service for 5 hours! No support whatsoever! will NEVER fly with them again. Even if I have to drive. I wish i could not give them any stars, that indicates a redeeming quality where none exists. read more

Absolutely the WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. I was told by American Express Platinum that My luggage would be free of charge if I was a Delta Skylines member. The checkin woman told me that was not true so I called AMEX to check this out and she then said now it is too late to check in and I will have to fly then next day as it was 59 minutes before flight departure. When I got home, I reviewed DELTA s checkin policies and IT SAYS YOU MUST CHECK IN 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE! Gate checked my carry on because they didn't have any room left in their tiny overhead bins. Assured me it would be at my final destination. Sure enough I stand at the baggage claim for 45 minutes after traveling all day! I just want to get home!!! read more

No complaints about flying Delta here. Everyone was decently friendly, semi helpful and almost all that you can ask for. Delta is one of the only airlines that has great flights to Syracuse. Getting in and off was easy, quick and baggage came quickly which was expected. read more

SYR is a small airport, but Delta provides good connections to the world. Mainly thru DTW, ATL, MSP or LGA. Staff is courteous and efficient. read more

I just really want to give a big shout out to the staff in Syracuse, NY. Today massive flights have been delayed due to snow and they were able to work together as a team and take care of everyone. Especially I want to thank Mariah M and Andrew at the ramp. Mariah went ABOVE AND BEYOND with a smile and got me onto a standby so I could get home on time. Andrew at the gate tried his best to get me onto the standby flight and I could tell they both really cared. You are lucky to have employees like them and they both deserve a big fat bonus for what they did today! read more

I spent almost the entire day in and out of the airport after 2 of my flights were cancelled with another airline. The experience with the other airline was absolutely terrible!! No notice of cancelled flights, terrible customer service on the phone and even worse in person. At that point, I just wanted to cancel my trip to the city and go home, so I went to the Delta counter looking for anything they could do and was helped by Sarah & Mitchell who were able to transfer my tickets to Delta and get me a flight home the next day and were SO wonderful and calm doing it. Rana, a manager from Syracuse airport for Delta is one of the rudest self righteous untrained staff of Delta I had the unfortunate chance of interacting. Instead of looking up what fly seamlessly was she just told me the computer said to charge for baggage. Then she had no idea what the silver medallion benefits were regarding baggage and asked me what they were. She told me to be "nice" ordered me around to be nice and stop looking at her computer screen then later when boarding the aircraft she gave us 2 seconds to get ready and board when we clearly had 2 infants before immediately boarding first class. While boarding she had to tell me that she did her homework and that she was right and i was wrong and that i should be "nicer" then told me i was unfairly getting my bags checked for free and that she was just doing her job. If this is how Delta is represented i would pay double to not fly Delta and give my money to a company that hires people with excellent customer service and not try to prove a point when she didnt know anything to begin with. read more

I have quite possibly witnessed the worst customer service today with your airline in Minneapolis. When having an airline choice it has always been Delta. My flight was delayed due to a plane issue in Toronto (Delta employee informed me) I was then instructed to visit the Help Desk counter for rebooking assistance as my 8:00pm flight was rescheduled to 12mightnight. The Terminal C (next to the C-14 gate) Help Desk employee couldn't be bothered to speak or help me she told me I needed to call for rebooking! There wasn't a single person in line! I waited on the hold for a great deal of time so long that I missed any near by city flights (Buffalo and Syracuse) this is shameful and a very unprofessional behavior. I could understand if the line was long or if she were busy with customers. Not one person. So here I sit in Minneapolis my flight not leaving for 5 hours...and worse my flight is projected to arrive if the plane even shows up at 5:00am in the morning!! This is a tremendous inconvenience and no one even cares. I usually receive Delta satisfaction surveys after every flight somehow I am positive one will never arrive after this trip. This, why I chose this forum to reach out. This morning I woke at 5am due to this unprofessional customer experience and missing having an opportunity to be rebooked on another flight I will be up 24 hours. Honestly this is not good for the health and well being of the passengers. The airport is basically closed and no where to rest, sleep or eat. The passengers enduring this unnecessary experience should be compensated with a credit, sky miles or total refund. Honestly, if this is business as usual they really need to rethink and revisit their policies and customer relations procedures. Or at the very least, retrain the employee at the Delta Help Desk that was utterly HELPLESS. Thanks for listening and I hope this also gets to the right person at Delta that can activate and revoke change in the organization. read more

I always have good experiences with delta. Except for when I travel out of Syracuse airport. Always a terrible experience there. But yesterday was by far the worst! It says 24/hours service on google, well that's not true. You could walk in but no one will come out to help you, greet you, smile at you, look at you or even acknowledge your presence until 4:30am, even if your flight is at 5am. the representative at check out, greeted us with her very best melancholy, despondent demeanor. Then proceeded to RUSH us through the boarding process. Our flight being delayed for mechanical issues is understandable. But the gate agents panicking, then RUSHing everyone through the reboarding process is unacceptable! They placed every one on back up connecting flights, yet never assigned anyone to seats. That would be ok, if I had a party of adults. But there's no way my 2 year olds were going to be sitting in random middle seats on their own. I will NEVER fly out of this airport again! Yelp you need to incorporate a negative star rating, because one star for this mess is extremely inaccurate. read more
