They are awful! Make either late to your appointment or they leave you waiting for hours to come back and get you!!

I was to be picked up 45 minutes before my doctors visit and it is a 10 minute drive. Called several times and told they would send a cab soon. Five minutes after my appointment I called to cancel because the doctor would not still see me that late. DO NOT USE THESE FOOLS. read more

Suburban taxi is consistently late, they have not been on time once. Today pickup scheduled for 8:30 for appt at 9:30. I was not picked up until 9:30 so I was late for my appointment. Then I called 15 mins before I was done. And 30 mins later they say they don't know when the taxi will be here.. So a Doctor's appt down the street is taking over 5 hours. I had to drop my car off at the dealership for some work, and unexpectedly couldn't book an Uber or Lyft as planned. I called a few other taxi companies and got no answer. I saw the other reviews and was a little wary, but I got through to customer service right away (this was around 9:30 on a weekday) and she dispatched a car promptly, and dispatcher was very polite and efficient. I got a text with a tracker so that I could see when my car arrived. When the car arrived, I was impressed with the safety measures. The backseat was clean. There was a plexiglass barrier between the driver and the back, but my driver still wore a mask. My driver, Rick, was very pleasant. I usually make small talk with drivers but tend to feel awkward in doing so, but our conversation was actually very enjoyable. He drove safely and took the normal route. The fare wasn't much more than it would've been with other rideshare services. My expectations were exceeded, and I was especially grateful because this Suburban Taxi came through in a pinch when other services were unavailable, and they made me feel very safe in a time when taking a taxi can be nerve-wracking. I can't speak for others' experience, but mine was positive. read more

Not sure if it's management or the overseas phone staff or lack of staff but they are basically never on time for every week scheduled pick ups.tuesday night I waited an hour and twenty minutes to get picked up.i could of walked home in less time unfortunately I am disabled hence reason for the Medicaid cab. They take they own time.they have made me miss numerous appointments to where they should be liable for the fees I encounter for a no show. Its only a few meaning 2 o3 that are nice and only a few who keep it professional. Some of those taxis are dirty and smell like smoke. Im allergic n some deny you to roll window down cause they have on AC. The majority if them drive the car like a race car.. Its dog or cat hair on the seats. Like at one point suburban was decent. Today took the cake I missed another appt. Due to them being packed. They need one big bus to drop off in timely fashions a number of they clients on time. Who are going in the direction to appts and residents. Therefore more effective. read more

I called the day before to have a pick up for a doctor's appointment and left a 10 to 15 min Cushion for pick up in order to make it on time. I got a confirmation text and thought everything was fine. Come 5 min past pick up time, the taxi was a no show. I called and spoke with the company and they said that they were really backed up and couldn't gaureentee when they were going to pick up. I was pretty upset that they hadn't contacted me or that they couldn't run their business in order for a scheduled confirmed pick up. I asked the woman if they knew when they could get there and all she could say was I can't guarantee we can be there in the next 15 min. I said after that? And she said she didn't know. Extremely disappointed. I don't understand why I couldn't get a text even saying taxi was late. Completely unprofessional. read more

Had a canceled flight from Syracuse on a Thursday and was rebooked for a 5 am flight the next day. The hotel I was put in was not around any main stretches and the lady at the front desk didn't seem to understand uber when I tried asking if she knew if ubers would be around at 4 am. I booked a taxi to pick me up online then called to confirm. I received a text when my taxi was dispatched and was able to track it online and another text when it arrived, which was 8 mins early. My driver was super friendly and explained that the car service typically used by airlines for long drives when flights are cancelled and that they drive to anywhere within the continental US and Canada and that the furthest drive hes had due to a flight cancelation was to the North Carolina border from Syracuse. If I found myself in a similar situation again I would book any early morning rides with Surburban Taxi again read more

I called before my procedure to confirm and my nurse called after to tell them I'm was ready. I waited and waited. NO RIDE. I called them and the man that spoke with said well your request isn't here our system is messing up requests but we physically spoke with them. he could care less and actually even hung up on me. I literally received 2 texts about getting my request to be picked up. so rude and heartless staff. This was my boyfriend and mines favorite taxi business. UNTIL THEY COMPLETELY RUINED OUR WHOLE NIGHT. It was our one year anniversary of being together. We went out to our local mall and went shopping, got dinner and watched a movie. The night was fantastic until we had to leave at 10:11 PM. I called this taxi business because it was our favorite and from what we thought it was really dependable. We were so wrong. I called, and was told that it would be a fifteen minute wait until a taxi would be available. To call then. I waited, called, and was told that it would now be a 25 minute wait. Slightly frustrated we waited longer. Walked around the now closed mall trying to make time pass. Finally it was time to call again and my boyfriend did. He politely asked if a taxi would be available. HE WAS HUNG UP ON AFTER SAYING THAT THEY WERE CLOSED YOU ARE A TAXI BUSINESS, OPEN 24/7 YOU DONT CLOSE. I took back out my phone and called, it was a different person from the one that hung up on my boyfriend. I asked if I could get a taxi. They said not until midnight. Furious, tired and upset that this is what our night turned into. We waited. Called back at exactly midnight, THIS TIME I HAD TO BEG FOR A TAXI, TELLING THE GROANING RUDE DISPATCHER THAT WE HAD WAITED SINCE NEARLY 10:00PM. ..Needless to say..A taxi came in less then 5 minutes. We left no tip, driver drove recklessly. And we will not be using this business again. Thank you for ruining our anniversary. You don't deserve even one star. read more

I was leaving a concert. We took suburban on the way there but they lied and told us a taxi would come to get us and would be ready if we called and gave them a half hour time window. I called and was hung up on. Then called back and was told. You the dispatcher that they had none to send our way. I said we have no way to get to our hotel. She said sorry we don't have anyone. I love suburban taxi. They send emails prior to the date of the ride which makes it so I have less phone calls to make to verify pick up. Not to mention 1 he prior, on the date of the ride, they call me with an automatic system, to verify I'm still going. All I have to do is push 1 and the ride is confirmed. Then when the vehicle is dispatched they send via text message a link to track the taxis every move and gives me the Google maps estimated time of arrival. Then I can rate the driver as well. Cars are always clean and drivers always pleasant!!! read more

My husband called and requested pickup at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo at 9:00 p.m. after a party then called back for earlier pickup. Your company was most accommodating and Sidney was there waiting for us before 8:30. He gave us a great ride back to the Marriott Courtyard Carrier Circle hotel; drove very professionally and not too fast (I can't handle high speeds) and was very friendly and polite. If I could give a 0 I would. Was just on the phone with them because I ordered a taxi at 8pm for 9:15pm and it is now 10 pm. They said they called and left because I never came outside. They never called and won't send me a taxi for another hour and a half. I asked if they could send anything earlier considering they never called and she said "no" then hung up the phone. On Wednesday 4/3/20 I used Suburban Medical Transportation to get to dialysis. When the driver arrived to our home he only waited no more then 5 mins for us to come out of our home. I am wheelchair bound and that was why I was using Suburban in the first place. When I was loaded into the van I noticed how dirty the inside of the van was. The drivers language was horrible I had to ask him to stop with the language which he did. But, I asked him if when I was done at dialysis if he could pick me up at 9 pm. He told me that he would be at the dialysis center 10 to 15 mins early. Well that was not what happened we called suburban at 9:15 pm. We were told that I was going to be picked up after another patient was dropped off and I was the next person to be picked up. We tried to call two other times and the dialysis center did also and NO ONE PICKED UP THE PHONE. After waiting an hour for the van to arrive which it NEVER DID my husband and I manged by the sheer grace of God to get me in our truck and get me home. Hands down this is the best cab company in medical transport that I've ever witnessed and I've went through more companies than I can count the owner is 35 years old and is very enthusiastic about making this the best company possible not only for his customers but also for his employees obviously especially for the customers though LOL he really cares about helping people in need get to where they need to get I have worked for several companies never have I ever been treated so well. Also it takes a very very good care of his vehicles and if one starts to look Chevy on the eyes or can't fixed adequately he has no problem Scrapping it and buying a new one. The owner is very enthusiastic about is company and with his vision is trying to grow his company even bigger and welcomes anybody who has a good attitude, enjoys driving and wants to work only for the best to fill out an application on line, or even stop by the office to apply.i never thought that I would ever be able make a career or living by only driving cab, not until I came to Suburban transportation. Not only can I make a ton of money driving but if I decide that I need something more, then there is plenty of room for growth in the agency, which it is much easier for a current employee to climb the job latter than it is for someone applying from outside the agency. I requested a ride for a medical appointment approximately one week in advance, and on the day of, I received a text at pickup time of 6:15 stating my ride had arrived. I hurriedly rushed down three flights of stairs to find no van. I called the number and the agent insisted that the ride was at my address. I told her again what my house number was and what the cross streets were, and she said she'd let the driver know. I then see the van coming down the hill stopped at the cross street looking for me. When I got in the van, I told the driver I thought he had left, he said, "I was at your apartment..." I explained that where he has picked me up was my apartment, and he continued to insist that I was wrong. He told me to request the "cross streets" next time. What is the point of putting my address in?? The condescending manner that he spoke to me put me over the edge after I was already anxious about my procedure this morning. Twice I called for a ride home and was hung up on. I did not know the exact address of the bar but gave the dispatcher the name of the bar and the road it was on and they refused to help me. I was looking for a ride the airport one night so I decided to call Suburban Taxi. I called them at 3:45 and reserved a taxi for 7:30. When 7:10 rolled around I called to see if the taxi was on its way but was left on hold for 25 minutes before I was hung up on. Then I was hung up on multiple times. Terrible customer service!
