The lady dispatcher is the rudest person I've ever talked to in my almost 40 years on this earth. Very nasty tone of voice. Talks over you, doesn't listen. She is just always in a bad mood and got the nerve to say she's taking me off because I asked her a question. Very creepy energy and needs to be fired or replaced immediately. read more

They are very rude and I asked to talk to a manager and the lady was very rude and said no one was there and hung up every single time I go through them this is what happens especially when the lady gets confused with a man when someone's just trying to be respectful of saying yes ma'am and no maam bad very bad can company wouldn't recommend read more

This company doesn't deserve a review!! I was being discharged from the hospital around midnight, on 5/3/23, the hospital called them, I got a confirmation that they'd be there around 12:45am...an hour went by and I called and asked if they knew about what time my cab would be there, the response " oh honey it won't be for awhile, I have one car and 4 stops before you that are out of town!!" I'm like ok, well another 2 hours passes and the receptionist at the hospital couldn't believe I was still waiting, then I received a text telling me " my booking has been cancelled" I'm a single women and had to walk home from upstate hospital to w.genesse st at 5am!!! I texted them back and told them their customer service was a disgraceful and that I could've gotten killed!! And of course, no response!!! Also, a couple weeks ago the hospital called them to pick me up, I walked out of the hospital doors and smell POT IMMEDIATELY!! I got in the van and I swear this guy had just gotten done smoking weed before picking me up. VERY PROFESSIONAL BTW. Regardless if it's legal now, this company could give two FUCKS about their passengers! read more

Thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A 2.4 mile drive (7 minutes) charged me $18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The driver left the meter on and that totalled $11 She explained to me that Blue Star Taxi has a flat rate of $18 for within East Syracuse service. This make no sense and cost a lot of cents! Blue Star Taxi - short journey for $18 - Taxis Near Me - Syracuse, New York

The service is terrible I had an appointment scheduled for a 4:00 pickup so nobody had called or left a message by then so I called up Medicaid transportation and they tried to get a hold of them and got the answering machine a couple times and then got a hold of them so we were all on a three-way call at about 4:30 and ironically the lady did not call me or leave a voicemail and she lied and then she tried to call me when she was on the three-way call for my New Jersey number and then act like she had tried to call me and that she had the right number when she never did because she stated it back on the three-way call and it was wrong. She was always trying to talk over me and act like she didn't owe anyone any explanations. I see why you only have a 1.3 star rating and nobody has claimed the business. The service is terrible and I will never use it again and I don't recommend anyone else those read more

Worse company ever..had a schedule pick up for 745pm when I called at 750 I was told it would be 815..I said never mind. I called back for a ride home @905 and was told 30-35 minutes when no ride showed I called back and was told it would be another 45 minutes, he then started screaming and yelling at me that he would cancel my medicad cab..I will never use them again and will contact the BBB.. clearly I'm not the first one to have issues read more

AVOID. The owner the rudest thing I have ever encountered in a business setting and the cab drivers have the same stories. Cabs show up very late constantly and once not at all. Once my cab was 20 minutes early and the owner yelled at me saying "WELL HES THERE NOW AND IF YOURE NOT OUT SOON HES LEAVING". When I went to reply he hung up on me. Nice. The five star review below mine has to be the owners wife! yelp needs to invent a zero star option just for Blue Star Taxi. I would walk barefoot on broken glass before calling them for a ride ever again. read more

My awful experience, in which I waited over an hour for a cab that I had scheduled the day before, made a lot more sense when a friend started driving for them. Of course, if volume is low, you will get a cab on time. Some drivers will rip you off, but I would say most won't anymore, with gps on every passenger's phone. However, the review about a driver stopping and asking the passenger to buy a cigar is true. Also, they have incredible turnover, so you stand a pretty good chance of getting a driver who doesn't really know what he or she is doing. They made a friend miss her international flight (I don't know if she had to buy a new ticket), Blue Star would not give her the ride for free. So she got to pay $40 for the useless taxi ride that made her miss an $800 flight. All of this because Blue Star will do anything to make a buck. Just don't call them. There are plenty of other cab companies out there. If it's an emergency, maybe chance it but never if you need to be somewhere on a schedule. read more

So I was about to bike to a doctor's appointment when the sky threatened to open up. I decided a cab was a better idea. ...boy, was I wrong. I called at 8:50 and said that I needed to be about 6 miles away at 10, so could they arrive between 9:30 and 9:40? I asked how much it would be. I was told $25, and that it would arrive at 9:40. I asked whether I could use my credit card, as I had no cash, and was told I could. Just as I was getting into the shower at 9:20, I received a text that the car was outside. The van, which had no air conditioning and did not have the windows open, became a hot box quickly. The fact that the driver was herky-jerky in his approach to traffic didn't help, and I became pretty car sick pretty quickly between the temperature and his maniacal driving. He told me that he needed cash, not credit, and that it would be $31. I told him that I couldn't do that without a trip to the ATM, and rather than hit one of the many along the way, he doubled back to one that he had passed. When I got cash out, he said that he didn't have change for $40, and that he would have to go get some, so I had to wait while he went and bought himself a breakfast sandwich. This meant that by the time I finally arrived at my destination, I arrived just four minutes before my appointment in spite of having been picked up 20 minutes early. read more

When another driver service stands up your daughter at 2am at the airport after multiple weather-related airline delays, these guys were terrific -- super responsive, gave an accurate time for pickup and IMMEDIATELY went to get my young adult daughter who otherwise would have been stranded thanks to another company that begins with a C. -- Kudos to Blue Star -- they were fantastic, responsible, and VERY nice on the phone at 2am. They picked up promptly and got my daughter home safe. Thank you! read more

Reserved a ride for 4:15 am for an early flight out. As we were walking through our building to wait outside for the car at 4:11 I received a text asking me if the ride was still needed to the airport. Um yes. I texted back that yes we did and tried calling. No car arrived, no one answered the call. I quickly called an Uber which was luckily in the area and cancelled the ride via text. THEN they responded to say they could still send a car. While we were waiting, Suburban Taxi pulled in to wait for the people who had reserved that service. The normal way to do it. Maybe we'll try that next time. read more

Blue Star? More like Sh*t Star. Not even joking. Like almost everyone else here, I wish there was a 0 star rating. How this company is still running is beyond me. Where do I even begin? Even if you call an hour or a day in advance they tend to arrive extremely late (1-2 hours +) or never arrive at all. Don't even think about calling them during holidays or the end of the semester unless you want to sit around waiting for an eternity. You call them just to check up on the status of your cab and no matter how polite you try to be about it, they'll just lie to you and say "15 more minutes..." or "yeah it's coming" just to keep you off the phone with a false sense of hope but still try to squeeze money off of you if the cab actually arrives. If you're intentionally trying to miss your flight for some reason or miss your kid's school play and want to use a sh*t taxi service as a scapegoat, then I recommend you call Blue Star. I'm beginning to suspect that the qualifications to work for this company is to be an exceptional liar and be a jerk to customers. Just don't call them. The reviews here speak for themselves. read more

If you want to wait over one hour for service and get griped at when you call to ask when the cab will arrive (10 minutes stretched to over an hour wait, with constant iterations of "5 minutes, 5 minutes, 5 minutes" x 100), come get a ride from here. I seriously considered walking back to downtown. Worst taxi experience in this salty-ass city. read more

WORST TAXI SERVICE EVER! DO NOT TAKE THEIR TAXIS! I'm a student trying to head back to NYC for my winter break. I called at 9:05 AM to get a cab in order to catch my 10:25 AM bus on time... First the woman over the phone was RUDE and then my taxi was OVER AN HOUR LATER AND STILL NO TAXI! I had to miss my bus but Blue Star ultimately lost more than I did, they just lost a customer. I never write reviews but this one was well deserved! read more

The worst. Dispatcher is ALWAYS rude no matter who you get. Drivers can be pretty nice though, met some good people. Too bad they're never on time!! Either ten minutes early (and they will LEAVE if you're not ready) or 20 minutes late OR sometimes they just don't show up at all. Always have the longest wait too - they can't be that popular, they're just not good. read more

This company sucks!!! Don't ever use. They don't charge by mile then charge but minutes. I'm two blocks from my house and I'm already up $10. Instead of taking the fast route on the high way the driver decided to go the back roads. I have 7 people in my party which they can totally fit in their large van but insist on making us take two vehicles....... I hate this company read more

I would NOT EVER use this taxi company!!! I was just almost hit head on by a speeding, wrong way blue star taxi driver on RT 31 by the Cicero Post Office. Silver mini van, back end all dented. When I tried to call to report this, the dispatch woman was absolutely HORRIBLE. She was rude and told me it wasn't her problem, she didn't care. I was unable to get any information on how to hold this driver accountable for his reckless driving. You would think the company that employs a dangerous driver would want to know. read more

Have never received worst customer service in my life. I can't even rate the cab service because they never showed up. Played games for 3 hours and said "someone is on their way" each time we called. They yelled at us and told us to call another cab company when we inquired about our ride. Don't waste your time, they are jokes and complete ingrates. read more

This business is very rude and they have extremely long wait times. If you don't know to deal with concerns or questions DO NOT WORK ON THE PHONE, stay in dispatch and bitch at your own employees. Would never EVER give my money to this company. They do not respect their customers and often resort to hanging up the phone if a customer doesn't "respond" the way they want you to. read more

If I could give below 1 star I would!! Horrible horrible taxi service!! I called to have them pick me up at 8 am for a ride to the airport. after them being ten minutes late I called them, the guy on the phone said they are on their way and hung up on me. After another ten minutes I called again, got the same response and before I said anything he hung up. Finally called a third time and was about to say I no longer needed a ride and he said the cab was turning on my street. The person driving didnt even know they were supposed to pick me up at 8, they werent called to pick me up until after 8. She also said other people complained about being hung up on. I will never use them again. read more

SH*T SERVICE This is the worst taxi service I have ever used. I have never written a review, and only made this yelp account to torch Bluestar. Even giving it one star is too generous. I waited two and a half hours for this cab to come before calling to cancel. I called twice to ask if it was still coming, and each time was told it would be another 15 minutes. When I finally did cancel, they were horribly rude to me. Then, giving them another chance a while later (stupid, I know), I called to reserve the taxi an hour and a half early. They were twenty minutes late, so I called and they say "yeah it's coming". Then I waited another twenty-five minutes. At this point I called to cancel. The woman on the phone said, "You're f*cking stupid", and hung up on me. I had to call another cab, and ended up missing my train. This company is so unprofessional it is ridiculous. I don't know how they are still in business. I will never use this service again, and do NOT recommend it. read more

Absolutely horrible service. My sister and I called blue star the night before to make a reservation for the next day to pick us up at 6am to the airport. The girl on the phone confirmed everything and said the driver will call us when they arrived. The next morning, my sister and I are ready by 5:50am. No call at 6am, 6:10am.... So we call the number and the girl says the guy is on the way. So my sister and I wait til 625 and call again and the girl tells us that it will be another 20 minutes. Furious, I asked her if they even care that we have a flight to catch and then she changed her answer and said they were right around the corner..so at that time we called another taxi service and the guy was at our place within 15 minutes. I would never recommend this taxi service to anyone!!! The other taxi service is called CNY green taxi FYI. read more

20 minutes late. Dispatch got angry with me after I called asking where my cab was. DO NOT USE

Absolutely a horrible business. I think I've called them on 3 different occasions for transport to the University. Something went wrong all 3 times. Just called them to drive me back to campus from the mall and they never showed up. We called after 45 minutes of waiting and they said they were waiting outside the whole time, which was a downright lie. We told them to bring another, and they never showed up. Seriously, never call them. read more

One star is too many for this so-called business. Never rely on them for anything, I have never experienced anyone in any business as rude as the people I have dealt with at this company. read more

DONT rely on these people. I reserved a taxi more than 24 hours in advanced to pick me up at the airport. After several phone calls to the dispatcher and 35 minutes late, I got tired of waiting and went with the Syracuse Regional Airport Taxi. They got me in a cab in 1 minute. read more

Drive was rude and was not professional. The website did not work to request a ride at a specific time.

Blue Star Taxi is the worst possible taxi service in the Syracuse area. They are unreliable, crude, and irresponsible. Tonight, I called for a cab THREE HOURS ahead of time, and at the moment, 4 and a half hours later, there is still no sign of the taxi. When I called the number to complain about the lack of service I was called an "a--hole" by a man who identified himself by saying "I don't give a s--t, I'm the BOSS!" Many of my acquaintances have had serious issues with these impolite, inconsistent drivers and I URGE you never to use their services. read more

NEVER call the, call some other taxi company, requested a cab for 4:20 the guy came at 4:20 and said he needed to pick up two more people and I'm sorry but it's a cab service not a pull service got me to the airport late, he didn't even know how to get to the buildings of the other people he had to pick up and he was REALLY RUDE when I told him I needed to get to the airport he started yelling "what time your flight" "what time your flight" "you never late". Last time I called it was the same horrible experience. The cab driver kept saying he was "outside" and e wasn't, once he got to where I was he was like "sorry sorry I got lost" and because he kept saying he was outside the lady from the company key telling me to wait outside and I nearly froze. TERRIBLE service never again will I call this cab company read more

I wish I could give this a zero star rating. We called for a taxi and we were quoted 20 minutes. 40 minutes later we called back inquiring where the taxi was, and we were told it was 5 minutes away. Once the taxi arrived they refused to take us because the vehicle was not big enough to transport our party. We were ensured that a bigger van would arrive "in a few minutes". Another 20 minutes later we called back again, and the taxi was at least 10 minutes away. So we waited ANOTHER 20 minutes and called back yet again. We were told that the taxi driver was "close but lost". They then told us "5 more minutes". And the taxi never showed. Our night was ruined. This is an extremely unprofessional service and we will definitely never ever use it again. Don't waste your time waiting. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THE ONLY REASON I'M GIVING THEM ONE STAR IS BECAUSE THAT'S THE LOWEST RATING AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE, THEY ARE NOT EVEN WORTH A ZERO. I ordered a cab to pick me up at a particular time. They said they would send one at that time. When no cab showed up at the time I requested it, I called them repeatedly, only to be told the driver was on his way. There were no cabs for almost an hour after the time I needed it. The dispatcher on the phone was very rude and at some point he even told me I was bothering him with the calls for he had customers to deal with. Apparently he forgot I was a customer who was promised a cab a certain time, too. Very unprofessional company, I won't use their services ever again. Not recommended at all. read more

Solid service. Unsure why they have a low rating. Used them twice while here. They remembered me the second time. Easy as can be.

Did not reimburse us when driver asked for cash payment after credit card "did not work" only to find out that we were charged double, both credit card and cash. Pretty sad to charge driver misconduct or equipment malfunction to costumers. "strongly believes in customer satisfaction. That is our ultimate goal. Every service that we provide should not just meet your expectations it should exceed them" This is definitely a bold lie, I would avoid them if possible read more

I don't understand why this company is even in business. Almost missed my bus because of them, then when I call to cancel she gets annoyed with me after waiting TWO HOURS I wouldn't call this company if my life depended on it read more

Let me just say that I've never written a review for anything before but I had to warn people about this ridiculous taxi service. The dispatcher lady is always unnecessarily rude. I've had bad experiences with them but today was by far my worst experience. I called and told her my address. She asked me to repeat it and I did. She called back 30 minutes later with an attitude about not finding the address but that's only because she had the wrong one! I repeated my address again. 30 minutes after that I called and she says, "yeah, we can't find your address." Again, she gave me a different wrong address. So she basically wasn't going to call back and tell me that the taxi wasn't coming. Seriously, don't waste your time calling. read more

STOLE MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!!! AVOID!!!! $$$$ WORTH OF CHARGES (working with bank to get my money back). AVOID!!!!! I not only had a taxi show up 45 min LATE for my international flight but they STOLE my credit card information. Because we were so late to the airport my husband had to run inside and check our 5 bags in. I stayed behind to pay for the taxi and realized that my husband had all of the cash, therefore I had to pay with my credit card. They had the old school carbon copy card swipe ( which takes an imprint of your card leaving them with the card number and name associated with the account). We were so late and in a rush, my husband was inside the airport trying to get our bags checked, and had already argued with them for being late I had no choice but to pay that way. In addition, it was my back-up credit card I never use unless of emergencies, and at that time it was an emergency. Was out of the country for over a month and when I got home to loot at my statement I saw MULTIPLE charges for over $100 at stores in and around Syracuse-- I knew it had to be them as I never use this card and was out of the US during the times of the transaction. I also do not live in Syracuse, so I know it was not from past transactions. I am now working with the credit card company, who has agreed that BLUE STAR TAXI STOLE MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. read more

I see several very negative reviews of the company and wonder if it is the same organization. We've used them many times, almost always for trips too and from Hancock Field. The taxi was waiting when we arrived at the airport and we got a call and text message, that was the best part of the trip. Taxi was in terrible shape with many warning lights illuminated, no way it was safe. Probably going to just park st the airport. read more
