Rueben sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese- very good
    Caroline J.

Had heard this place was a hidden gem, and decided to stop by Saturday night for dinner. We sat in the bar area dining room where they have a juke box where you can still go and pick songs. My husband and I had a fun time picking out songs and jamming away as we waited for our food and even while we ate. We had a nice waitress who answered all of our questions as it was our first time there. We ended up trying the following: Wings-good! Split sauces of the xxx and spicy bbq and both were good. Really good ranch to dip them in. Reuben- my husband got this as his dish and he loved it. Really good Mac & cheese as a side. Seafood platter- haddock Nantucket style, Shrimp fried, and scallops broiled. Shrimp were huge and yummy. The scallops good as well. Not a fan of the haddock Nantucket style, so next time would get it broiled or fried. For the fries and cole slaw as a side. Cole slaw not the best but good fries. Dinner also started with bread which is nice and we ended taking home a slice of carrot cake which was delicious! Very good place and would stop back in!

Yes. A Nice hidden gem. Not the most modern of restaurants. Not the most up-to-date or decadent. But, when it comes to good food and friendly people, this place has both. Headed out on a Friday night to listen to Mike McDonald and some acoustic music and have a haddock dinner. The haddock dinner comes prepared three ways. I chose it broiled. The fish was fresh. The portion size was good. For the choices of side I selected coleslaw and a house salad. The coleslaw was good, The house salad was nicely portioned with plenty of fresh vegetables. If you're looking for fancy try someplace else. If you're looking for good food, check this place out.

    Burnt reuban!

Ordered a rueban for take out, never opened Styrofoam container until I got home. Whoever was the cook that night, burnt both sides of the rye bread! I paid 13.00 for that sandwich. Had to put it on different bread. Of course the cheese was stuck to the rye burnt toast so basically I paid for just corned beef and saurkrat!

Over the years, I have driven past this place, literally THOUSANDS of times and never gave it a second thought. A few days ago, my wife, daughter, and I were out on thevwest end of town and we were looking for someplace to eat... we happened to drive by on 690 adlnd decided to givevit a try, boy arecwe glad we did! From the outside, it doesn't look like much but don't let that fool you. We walked into a neat lil time capsul filled with nostalgic item from simpler times. The restaurant and bar iare very clean, the staff is friendly and the food is amazing. It seems that menu changes daily with the specials. Western Ranch is a neat lil place that is frequented by locals and its one of those places where everyone knows your name. We started off with an order of potato skins and a bowl of soup, both came out quickly, hot and fresh. I ordered the ribeye steak, which was cooked perfectly, with mashed potatoes and mac salad. My wife ordered the meatloaf dinner which came with mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. Our daughter had a cheeseburger and fries. Our food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. I didn't catch our servers name but she was spot on and very friendly and attentive. In my opinion Western Ranch is one of tge most under-rated restaurants in the Syracuse area, ibwhish I decided to stop long before I did. If you're in the area and looking for a good meal, give them a shot... He'll, they are worth driving across town for. Enjoy!

    Ranch fish fry

Don't judge a book by its cover. This is a very big place inside. The bar is small, but the dining rooms are very large. This place was recommended for the fish fry. I sat at the bar and I was greeted immediately. It was a friendly lady with a nice smile. Made me feel at ease as I was alone and the place was pretty busy. I came in on a Friday ordered a beer and a fish dinner. I opted for the onion rings with an upcharge fee. The dinner came out piping hot. And looked delicious. I ate my coleslaw as I waited for the fish to cool down. When I did get to the fish it was mouth watering greatness. The fish was cooked just the way a fish should be. It was battered perfectly and fried to perfection. So tender and moist. The fish was great but the onion rings were not. I figured for a substantial upcharge the onion rings would have been great. These were no rings from red robin. I'm not even sure they were real onions, possibly minced onions. The rings are the reason for 4 stars. The staff and fish get 5. I have also been back on Tuesday and Wednesday. They do a wing special on Tuesday $9 for 10 wings it's a great deal in today's market where wings are at market price and cost more than a lobster tail. Wednesday is cans and clams. It's $8.50 for a dozen clams and $3 beer. I will be back here on Tuesday.

Potato pierogis sautéed in butter and onions

In all honesty I must confess that I've noticed this place from the highway so many times, and just assumed it was a little to seedy looking for my tastes. When will I ever learn? After reading a recent review in the local Post-Standard newspaper, my son and I stopped by for lunch and lucked into a special limited-time Polish Fest menu, "smacznego"! We decided to try the Polish cabbage rolls based on the recommendation of a fellow Yelper. My boy ordered the potato pierogi sautéed with butter and onions, and I ordered the platter consisting of golumbiki, pierogi, kielbasa, and kapusta. Everything was just outstanding, and without question, we will be back to sample more of the dishes served here.

I have to update my review based on our last visit. Overall the majority of the food was good, but the Chicken Parmesan was pretty bad. The sauce on the pasta was watery and the chicken was bland. I would stick to typical American fare.

House made potato pierogie with sour cream and buttery cooked onions. Omg.

Visited for the first time the night before Thanksgiving. It was very busy, but we were seated right away and service was fantastic from start to finish. We started with beers and clams. (7.95$ a dozen, delicious.) Next we tried the potato pierogies, which the server told me were made from scratch. They were close to perfect. Tender dough with lots of flavorful filling. I'll definitely be back for more. Entrees were fried haddock, which was cooked perfectly, and the starter sauce was great. Definitely house made. The fries were, meh... not the best frozen fry option, but I was already getting full anyway. My husband had a rib eye and mac salad, he enjoyed both. Steak was cooked like he asked, and the mac salad was homemade with lots of flavor. We had several cocktails and beers, and ended up taking home a slice of cheesecake and a big slab of chocolate cake. We enjoyed both later that night. Really good. Our bill was about 90$, which I thought was really inexpensive for all we had There was also a fantastic band playing. They were so fun, and not so loud that we couldn't still talk to our friends. It isn't pretty inside, but we loved it! We will definitely be back soon. Keep it up!

We found one that only charged us ten bucks for the night. We were in town for a concert at the Landmark, which is literally across the street. After the concert ended, we were back in our hotel room in about five minutes. There are also tons of great bars and restaurants all within a few blocks. Our room was clean and spacious enough for two people, and the bathroom was roomy and clean.

We got a king suite with a separate kitchen and sitting area, as we were not leaving our room much due to surgery. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable and there were a lot of pillows. You could have parked a Buick in the bathroom! We ended up being done with our medical appointments two day early. They were unable To refund our room (which they were not obligated to do anyway) but willingly gave us one free nights stay voucher. How wonderful is that! So accommodating and nice. The two staff ladies at the desk were so kind to us. This hotel has a "wall of fame" where you can see a few of the stars who have stayed there. It's in the heart of a city circle area where there are some shops and restaurants to walk to. Again, we were only able to leave for a bit (for our sanity) but it's location was perfect for a walk. We will definitely be back!

Think about that feeling when your grandma's making you soup and you stayed home from school. That was the vibe. We were stranded in Syracuse after a looooong vacay that ended in Covid for all of us, kids included,---and when I say "kids" I mean a 5 & 8 -year-old who "just wanted to go hoooooooome", a.k.a. 3k miles away, after 2 weeks with our in-laws--u do the math. Could've been a hell on earth uation where we were ripping each other's heads off, but these people straight up kept us happy, fed, and didn't treat us like lepers despite the fact that we looked like hot garbage. They even drove us to the local pharmacy to get meds for the kids more than once. Not sure what people think about Hampton, but i used to think: dinky/ kitschy. FAKE NEWS YA'LL. We got better service and care here than I've had at any other resort around the world. These people genuinely cared about us, listened after we got bumped off 2 Flights and treated us like family. I would've had dinner w them. It wasn't just 1-2 people. It was literally everyone who worked there. On top of this we got free breakfast that actually tasted good. Biz services were legit and the team helped by printing things out correctly for me better than FedEx Kinko's does when it didn't work for me and I was under a tight deadline. They even chatted with me when I was about to lose my mind about work stuff. Who does that? So if you're looking for a place for a therapist, a couple new cousins, good breakfast for free, endless coffee that taste good, and legit empathy w/ those giant fluffy comforters, skip the four season--come here. Sidenote, my son left his cell phone there and they called us before we even knew we forgot it + mailed it across the country free of cost. These people would be seated right next to us at our Thanksgiving dinner table if they weren't 3k miles away. Way to be y'all. You made a crappy situation into a warm, comfy hug of a stay when our kids were losing it and we were basically hallucinating elephants due to that awesome COVID fever. The staff here is very friendly and gracious and accommodating, especially Margaret. She ensured that breakfast was ready, and she kept the breakfast area, clean and neat and took the extra step of not only wiping off the tables, but wiped off the chairs. I really appreciated it. I ditched my Rent-A-Car because there's little or no parking and there's a lot of restaurants, shops and banks that are nearby - walkable. The appointments that I did have; I was able to take an Uber to. In the long run by not having the Rent-A-Car I saved money. Walking in downtown Syracuse is like walking in Manhattan or Brooklyn NY, without the crowds. You have to pay attention to your surroundings as there's a few sketchy people in the area. I see why they keep the front door secured. You need your key to get into the lobby. Since I was on the second floor, it is a bit noisy at night, but the room was very comfortable and I was happy that I was able to adjust my temperature to my preferred settings. The noise came from outside, not within the hotel. I wanted to clarify that. I was here for family business, but I spontaneously went to see Hamilton, which was fantastic and walking distance from the hotel at a discount rate.
