Recently visited again and it certainly hasn't changed. Everything is as delicious and delightful as I remember. Lots of items to choose from and the menu on the wall has photos. Everything is made fresh and you can taste the quality. Usually two ladies working the front that I've seen most of the times coming here. Take out only but there's one or two tables you can sit at to squeeze in the back.

Great prices with huge portions! Dim sum was tasty and good with lots of options. The staff were nice and friendly, recommending some items also. It's a small store so suitable for takeaway only.

Still on the hunt for my next go-to dim sum place. The dim sum here erred on the side of doughy. Very little filling for the fried meat dumplings, sesame balls, and buns. The rice noodles were oddly thick and doughy as well. I didn't mind the lotus leaf glutinous rice and shrimp dumplings however. Small shop with one table for seating. You may be asked to split with another customer.

If you're looking for a less-touristy, dim sum-focused shop in Chinatown, Delicious Dim Sum has you covered. As of writing this review, they're about 50-60¢ cheaper per 3-piece order for shrimp dumplings and pork shumai compared to Good Mong Kok. Located on Jackson St across from the Fortune Cookie Factory, this small, classic Chinatown spot serves all your favorite dim sum to-go -- simple, efficient, and delicious. - Pork Shumai -- juicy, meaty, and perfectly balanced by the thin wonton wrapper - Chive & Shrimp Dumpling -- something about chives in Chinese food just hits right; savory and full of seafood flavor - Beef Rice Noodle -- tender beef wrapped in soft but not doughy rice noodles, served with soy sauce on the side Service is no-frills yet friendly, and the ambience centers around the bustle of dim sum prep -- always a good sign it's authentic. It's cash preferred (3% card fee), to-go only, with no indoor seating. I'd recommend taking your meal to Washington Square Park or enjoying it back at home or your hotel. Great prices, classic flavors, and fresh, hearty portions -- Delicious Dim Sum is my go-to dim sum shop in Chinatown SF!

This will easily become my regular spot when in China Town!!! There was a line for about 20 minutes to get into place, and there were great options. The scallion and shrimp ones with a toasted side were incredible!!! The pork shumai were also delicious! My biggest critique was that they do not provide nearly enough soy sauce for what you order, next time I'll double my request. There is also no chili oil, or places to eat inside. You have to enjoy your yummy food elsewhere. Note to self, don't eat dim sum while watching a dumpling eating contest... (happening just a few blocks away). lol.

Stopped by Delicious Dim Sum while in Chinatown. No line and easy to order on a weekday. I had the shrimp dumplings and spring rolls. Loved the shrimp dumplings. The spring rolls were just okay because they were cold. Had they been hot I'm sure it would been better. Also, this place accepts cash only so make sure you have some before stopping by.

The Dim Sum served here is cooked fresh, very delicious and absolutely has reasonable prices! The service was fast friendly and the lady working the counter was super sweet with us being our first time. I definitely recommend bringing cash, my order was roughly about $12. I ordered Pork & Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Shumai, and my favorite The Shanghai Dumpling!! There was a line when we arrived; the food is all made to-go, but there are plenty of photo worthy spots to enjoy your food :)

We came around 2PM and got some shrimp rice rolls, Shanghai dumplings, fried sticky rice ball and shrimp and chive dumpling. The shrimp rice was was delicious, but there were maybe three pieces of shrimp in an order and no extras like green onions. The fried sticky rice ball was okay, but a bit too sweet for my liking, and the dumpling skin on the Shanghai dumpling way too thick and pork had no flavor. Chive and shrimp dumpling was good. Everything was sold in servings of 3 pieces, averaging $3.20-3.80 per set. Decent dim sum, but not the best in the area. There are a few chairs to sit at, but no tables or restrooms.

Came in about an hour and a half before closing on a Saturday and there were still plenty of dim sum left. The counter lady seemed a bit impatient with us, but she easily handled our 4-person order with ease. She was able to tell us what items were sold out and suggested good replacements. Each order was 3 pieces - about a dollar or so each dumpling. It's a small place with a long counter so be warned - there's a park walking distance that you can eat at. It's mainly a pick up place and they prefer cash. In Chinatown, it's in the middle of bustling alley ways and across the street from the fortune cookie company. Definitely worth its value and pretty big dumplings for the price. Will definitely be back to try more when I'm in the area.

My wife and I wanted some Dim Sum, so through recommendations we came to Delicious Dim Sum for some. The store is not big, it is a small take out joint with no place to sit inside. There was a line and it's not a big deal as long as the food delivers so we waited. When it came my turn I asked if they had certain items in the pictures they have plastered throughout the store. They were apparently out of stock while others are still available. I followed up asking more questions like, when will it be on stock again? ....a pause and a mean stare. "It's just have to wait", she said with the intent to pass me off to the next customer after me? I was like umm...okay, maybe I will pass on these items then? I mean if it's 5 minutes, it's really not that big of a deal but should I continue this conversation with a money hungry angry Asian lady with is apparently ready to skip my long awaited turn for the next guy down for asking questions? Smartly, I just ordered your typical Cantonese staples like shumai, bbq pork bun, and then when came time for the bill, due to the noise from the amount of people inside it was hard to hear her. When I questioned her about the change, she got angry and raised her voice with the total bill. Jeez man. Dumbfounded, why did I just waited 15 minutes on a line to deal with an angry Asian lady for? I was a little disappointed at her reaction. If you can call "service", this would be it, taking the money from the customer and communicating to them clearly on a take out right? Let's say I misheard, what's the big deal? Not to mention that there's no receipt so who knows if any of their math is correct? The food itself was good, but it's been a while since I had to deal with serious rude customer service. I will have to think twice the next time I'm in SF as there are plenty of dim sum places as an alternative so if you are looking for people that will treat you with decent manners, this won't be it unfortunately.

Great memories . As a child, it was habitual , haircut off Jason and dim sum while we waited for a chair to open up. During school lunchtime Back when we carry lunch boxes the pot stickers almost always came from here. Always someone at school would ask what's that? The potsticker had this distinctive taste one can't forget. Now this place takes credit card and still serving up delicious dim sum just without the potstickers it's been replaced with the shen zen baos . 3 pieces of dim sum at 3.80 draws a crowd from the fortune cookie factory, I'm happy to see them still in business and consistent with the dim sum till this day.

This line was about 20 minutes at this point.

There's a ton of dim sum spots in Chinatown, so if you're here for the first time - it can be hard to figure out where to go. When in doubt, look for the crowds. Since I was visiting Chinatown for the first time, I relied on Yelp and crowd size to gauge whether to eat somewhere or not. This place had great reviews... and a 30 minute long wait. I was already tired walking around from all the hills that didn't show up on Google Maps, so figured I'd rest a bit while waiting in this slow moving line. The wait was worth it. Not only is the dim sum fresh (there were steamed trays of dumplings that came out while I was getting close to the front of the line), but the prices were very competitive (3 pieces of pork shu mai for $3.50 for example), and the quality was great. The rice rolls were thick (which I love), fresh, and had a good rice roll to filling ratio. I made out with an entire tray full of different dim sum favorites (pork shu mai, shrimp & chive dumplings, beef rice rolls, shrimp rice rolls) for less than $20. Wish they included another container of soy sauce though. I already had giant egg tarts left over from Stockton Bakery in my bag, so didn't pick up any dessert items here. There is one table for indoor seating - and a few chairs. This is mostly a takeout place, so no issues there. If you do end up eating here anyway, expect it to be loud. What was frustrating though - through no fault of the restaurant - was that the line wasn't slow because service was slow - it was slow because of all the time people took to order and decide what to get, even after waiting in line for 30+ minutes. Like maybe look at the menu when you get closer to the front, see what food is left (because they do sell out as you get through the day), so you don't hold up the rest of us by the time its your turn to order. The main lady here isn't rude, she's just business oriented - time is money. She was nice to me because I knew exactly what I wanted, and when one of the items I wanted was out, I quickly decided on a suitable alternate. Cash preferred, card taken with 3% surcharge.

Craving many different things, I left it up to my companion to choose our lunch spot. Being in Chinatown, dim sum was our meal of choice. My companion recommended we drop into Delicious Dim Sum to get our fix. The day we came, it was pouring. My companion did all the ordering while I waited outside. The ladies were extremely kind enough to let us dine at their one table inside. The dim sum spot primarily operates as takeout. It's quick service with the menu posted at the front. He ordered us a variety of dishes. These included: Shrimp Dumpling, Pork Shumai, Chiu-Chao Style Dumpling, Shanghai Dumpling, Pork & Shrimp Dumpling, Radish Cake, Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll, Dried Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll, and Lotus Leaf Wrap. We thought that some of them were good while others were average. The dumplings had thick skin, so if you like a thicker skin on your dumplings, this is the spot. The filling was decent for most. Our favorite was probably the Noodle Rolls. For those who like dim sum, Chinatown has no shortage. Located off Jackson Street, parking is limited to the street. I wouldn't return immediately, but knowing they're a decent spot is good!

Since we had reservations, we waited only a few minutes to get seated at the bar. The bar makes it easy to converse with your partner and to peer over as the fire from the range springs up from the kitchen. Our server brought us some "Free Bites" of roasted peanuts and smashed cucumbers. She was such a pleasant lady with quite the wit that made me laugh between courses. We ordered a full bottle of Negori sake. Note: if you do not finish the sake bottle, they cannot pack it to go for you, so drink up! Obviously, we couldn't order everything on the menu. For our first visit, we definitely wanted their special dish, Fried Squab. It was delicious! The meat was moist and the dipping salt with Sichuan peppercorn paired perfectly! Just don't focus too much on the visual... the head and claws. Clay Pot Rice w/Chinese Sausage & Bacon ~ Loved how the entire pot was seasoned nicely. The sauce did not only sit at the top, but penetrated deep down into the rice. XO Escargot w/Milkbread ~ I've only had French Escargot and these are just as good, if not better! Fish Fragrant Eggplant ~ Another savory and very umami dish. Red Bean Shaved Ice ~ Always a refreshing dessert. Dig in for the surprise in the center. We had such a nice, cozy dinner here. Even while at the bar, we never felt for lack of space. The dumplings had a good amount of filling and were hot and fresh. The scallion pancakes had plenty of scallions which I appreciated. We ordered : - Braised beef wonton noodle soup : noodles had that perfect springy bite, the broth was light , well seasoned & comforting. The braised beef was melt in your mouth tender, and the wontons were fresh, plump, and juicy. Everything was on point. - Fish porridge : I appreciate that the congee is not too soupy/ watered down. It was hearty and fish was delicately cooked just right, not dry or rubbery like some places. - Curry fish balls with pork rind : Good side dish, nicely seasoned with a spicy kick which we loved. Parking was relatively easy, there's metered spots across the street. Service was fast & efficient, the aunty who served us was super friendly and on top of everything. The interior is clean and comfy with a chill, welcoming vibe. Definitely planning to return, especially for another bowl of that beef noodle soup!

Went here with my girlfriends to celebrate a wonderful dim sum dinner for AAPI month! We had heard about this place because it is a Michelin recognized restaurant and while we live closer to Chinatown figured it was worth heading down to SOMA. It was good, but like similar reviews say, pretty shocked with how comparable it tasted to some other dim sum places in the city. Imperial Peking Duck - 10/10! XLB - 11/10 just for the presentation! The waiter serves you the first one :) House Pan Fried noodles - 8/10, not the best but still tasty. We also had the egg cake for dessert and we've never had that before so it was nice to try something new. Would come back if I was in the area but since I'm close to Chinatown, can find places there too.

Service was okay, could've been better, but there was only one lady working the register and filling orders and you could definitely tell she was exhausted. There was also a line out the door, so one person handling ordering and filling the orders all day sounds exhausting. The food was good though! No seating, order, pay, and leave. Today we visited Good Ming Kok Bakery. The shop is small and crowded with cookware and patrons. The order board is on the wall with corresponding numbers to make it go quicker. It's a walk in, order and walk out establishment. Be prepared...there is a line. The ladies working are not personable and act as if they are doing us a favor. Very stern faced. (Service 1/5) The buns (5/5) were very tasty, light and full of meat. Definitely will keep this one on our radar when the kids come for a visit.
