Follow up to my June 20, 2022 review. I did receive a message from a different manager, about a week after the carry out dinner error. Eric left an extensive message thanking me for alerting them to the omission of door dash servicing their online ordering process. My entire dinner order was refunded, including the tip. And Eric sent a $25. gift certificate. That was very generous. Thank you, Eric. Door dash is now visible on their website. Now you know your carry out order is also through door dash. My husband LOVES Delafield Brewhaus. Normally we have great service. Last go around at the bar it was SUPER SLOW but the food was worth it. I wish they had more options for vegetarians. there's not a lot to accommodate us vegetarians and end up having to eat the same thing every time. What looked to be amazingly promising turned out to be so-so. First the good stuff. The beers were very good. My first was the Oatmeal-Barley Stout. Amazing. Almost like drinking chocolate milk. My second was the Porter. Not anything like Rugged Coal Miner from Scorched Earth but it wasn't bad. The beers my compatriots has were also good. Now for the food. This was disappointing. The menu looked amazing. We started off with chicken tenders as appetizers. These were nothing special. The sauces were very good but Trader Joe's frozen tenders are better than what we were served. This was nothing but frozen mass produced tenders. For the main dishes two of us ordered the smoked bbq brisket. Sounded great. The meat was actually exceptionally fatty. That's unusual for brisket which is generally a tough cut of meat (which is why it gets smoked for hours to make it tender). But our plates were half fat or so it seemed. One of our party ate only about half his meal because of this. The BBQ sauce on the brisket was minimal and just OK. Not a lot of flavor. It could have used more sauce. Another member of our party has the meatloaf. He said it was OK but nothing special. The fourth member said his pasta was average. I had green beans as my vegetable and they were a little under cooked. I like my beans crispy but these are bordering on tough. No real seasoning on them either. We all ordered the garlic mashed potatoes. There was really no garlic in them that I could taste. So that was disappointing as well. We complained about the brisket and the waitresses surprised. She talked to the manager who took off 50% from one of the meals. They should have given both brisket meals at no charge. That's how bad the fattiness was. So the food was just meh, average. I'll start with the service. They were very friendly and attentive. I was there for a business meeting so I didn't partake of the beer options. The food was mediocre. I ordered a Reuben, and there was much more sauerkraut on it than corned beef. Dry little meat as compared to many other Reuben sandwiches that I've ordered elsewhere. I was disappointed. I also ordered the beer cheese soup. It was so salty that I couldn't eat it. We were the first customers at lunch opening. The server promptly offered me a credit on my bill. I realize soups can be tricky. I asked server to let the cook know how salty soup was. She said that wasn't necessary. Oh well. Nice ambiance and we were able to stay and have a fairly long conversation. The place is large enough that we weren't rushed to leave. So I may try it again. We are so happy we finally tried this place! So great and the staff is always amazing here. I have had the gyro, so good! Kids meals always good although the grilled cheese make sure you ask for extra cheese. They have great sweat potato fries. Pretzel is outstanding and my kids love the cheese curds. Asian salad is good except next time I think without the fried wontons. And of course plenty of great beers and cocktails! read more

The restaurant has a cute decor inside and outside. There was 9 of us so we sat in the side semiprivate room which was pretty roomy. We started off with the Fried Shrooms. The batter was thicker than I like and the thickness held the oil like a sponge. I ordered the Rib and Shrimp combo and the rest of the table had the fish fry and an ordered of the Rueben. I did not realize the shrimp that came with the rib combo was also deep fried. It was just like the mushroom where there was too much batter and way too greasy. The ribs the meat was good but I had so much sauce on it that I had to scrape most of the sauce off. The sauce was thick and overly sweet. Same story with the fish. Heavy batter and greasy. The food was bland, too. I did like the Delafield Amber beer. It had good flavor. Overall I would not recommend the restaurant unless you are a fan of greasy bland food. read more

Stopped in for Sunday lunch and caught the end of the brunch crowd. The deep fried cheese curds were good and the portion seemed right for the price. Our waitress was very friendly and did not rush our social gathering. The onion soup was good but the cheese soup was a bit meh. The walleye sandwich was very good - it almost had a sweet flavor. The chicken wrap had nice flavor though it was spicier than expected. Overall a decent place but nothing I'd rush back to.... And oh yeah, we drove right by it. It is hard to spot from the road since it is up on the hill. Keep your eyes open. read more

A fun visit if you're local, but not worth a special trip. The Location A bit of a pain to get to in a big building on a hill back on a service road. Visible from the freeway but takes a bit. Once inside this place is huge with seating in a traditional bar, the restaurant side or a small balcony inside as well. They keep this place clean and well lit and that goes well for it. The Food The pizza and chicken wings are pretty darn good actually, the other food I've had over the years falls into a more traditional pub fair. The Service This has been a bit of a let down the last couple times I've been here and that's certainly weighing in on my rating. It's typically slow, and often times performed by people who are pretty uninformed. My last trip our waitress new nothing about the food or drink specials and pretty much admitted she didn't eat here. Sad service. The Beer They have talent, but don't brew a lot of styles I like and tend to stick to the needs of the local "cotton mouths". The bigger beers do tend to carry over a bit of sweetness with styles focusing on Belgians for the same reasons. Typically I find something I enjoy every time, but nothing I love. read more

The stars are up for grabs on this one. We were there for a reception in the banquet hall, so I can't speak to what it's like to pop in for lunch. After the reception, I'd expect a sit-down experience to be very good - perhaps I'll find out someday. For the reception, we were brought down to the banquet hall - a nice, spacious room downstairs away from all the other action. It didn't feel like a "basement", and it was very nicely done with a full bar, dancefloor, and ample room. The food was okay. It wasn't as fresh as I would have hoped it would be. The appetizers were all presented in big banquet trays over warmers - just what you'd expect. But, with that, you get that "aging" effect of something that's been sitting in a banquet tray for a while - kinda dried up and not "fresh out of the oven". That being said, everything tasted fine. I enjoyed the potato skins as well as the meatballs. I REALLY liked the bacon-wrapped water chestnuts - always a favorite! Delafield Brewhaus makes their own beer. For our reception, they had four styles on tap as well as Miller Lite. The Pewaukee Porter was my drink of choice - smooth and tasty! I should have tried the Amber, but I was dialed into the Porter. The other choices were too light for my taste that night. I REALLY regret not heading upstairs to see if I could score a Belgian Quadrupel - I must find my way back to give that a try! The service was fantastic. The bartenders were personable and attentive as well as effeicient. The rest of the staff were like ninjas! Plates were magically cleared without ever noticing - it was amazing. They could clear a table without you noticing and without interrupting conversations - that is a lost art, my friends. As I said, I can't speak to what it's like to go in here to sit down for lunch or dinner. My wife noticed on the way in that the food looked "really good". If we were in Delafield more often, we'd probably find a way to get in for a meal. Maybe on the way to a Brewer game this summer? They made enough of an impression that we'll think of them the next time we're through the area and needing some grub. read more

I have been here three times and I have never had a good experience. The food is average or less and the service is slow. The first time I went here it took an hour for me to get my food and then sat there for thirty minutes looking for a bill or my waiter. The next time I went there the food was out fast but the bill was not. And my last time going here, the food was out at a decent time but getting the bill was just awful. The waiters never come by except at the beginning of the meal and then they vanish for an hour. A tip if you decide to go here, you get a choice of bar or dining area for seating, choose bar because it's more quiet. read more

Service is fantastic. Started off with homemade chips & dip. Chips were fried perfectly - crisp, no grease. Beer soup was flavorful- not the best I've had, but worth trying. Perfect spot for groups or individuals of all ages. I love this establishment. You can get micro brews by the glass or the keg. The lofty space allows for good ambiance despite being a bustling hub. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the lake country area! The weekly specials are great and the selection of beer top notch. Today I went in for the first time for brunch and am so glad I did. With an array of your typical breakfast food such as sausage, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, (all delicious) they also have a omelette/egg bar next to a crepe stand where your request is made to order. I came here with some friends on a Friday night. We started with some of their home crafted beers. The Hefe Weizen was delicious topped with an orange slice. For an appetizer, we had there wings. The sauces were flavorful but the wings were not the best I've had. I'd recommend going elsewhere for wings. For the main course, I ordered the fish fry and a cup of the seafood chowder. The chowder was good and had a twist using bits of seafood such as fish, shrimp, and clam. Personally though I prefer the traditional clam chowder. The fish fry was very good but the portions were insanely huge. It came with 6 giant pieces and one tiny cup of tarter sauce. I barely finish half of the portion. The service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was the typical brewhouse ambiance. March Madness was going on so after dinner, we all chilled at the bar area and watched the games. read more

My father and I used to love coming to this place but after one visit that we had a couple weeks ago I'm not sure if we will ever come back. My father and I came in on a Friday and we had to beg for everything all the way from getting our drinks to wondering where our food is. It was to the point that my father had to raise his hand because our waitress didn't want to serve us. My meal came out completely fine but my fathers came out ice cold and was missing the bacon he asked for on his sandwich. The waitress came by 20 minutes after she dropped off our food and asked if everything was ok and my father obviously said that his was cold and was missing the bacon. She said that'd she bring hot bacon so he can get the bacon and that it would hopefully warm up the sandwich but my father said he wanted it remade. She took it back and it took another 25 minutes to even get his meal and I was finished with mine. My father asked another waitress for one of the managers because our waitress wasn't helping us. The manager was nice enough to ask us what was wrong and we told them that the waitress was not attentive and didn't want anything to do with us. She told us that she was their best waitress but after that night I'd say she was the worst waitress there. While we still were talking to the manager our waitress decided to come to our table but not very kindly, she came up right to my fathers face and yelled at him for not liking the service. The manager said that's enough and she decided to give us the meals for free because of what happened. The manager asked for our information so she could contact us to see if the owners or the higher ups would do anything about it. When we were all done talking and left we were in that restaurant for about 2 hours. I'd advise you to go to another restaurant because I don't want this to happen to anyone else. read more

We visited Delafield Brewhaus for the first time this evening. Our waitress name was Becky. Becky did not greet us, introduce herself nor did she ask if we had been here before. She was extremely short with details regarding what was on the menu. She slammed or appetizer plates on the table, which had hair on it and when I handed her the soiled plate and asked for clean plates she walked away and shook her head. She would disappear for periods of time. I had to ask someone else to replenish my drink. She never came ack to check on us after delivering our appetizers. We received our meals and her attitude had changed she was a little more patient and attentive by by then she had already ruined our visit. We asked for the bill in which her reply was would you like any dessert so I asked her what were the special and she walked up to the table and slammed open the menu and pointed to and read each item. I waited until she had finished and asked her what was the cheesecake monthly special because it tells you to ask your server. Shen then tried to laugh it off and goes to another table and grabs a small picture of the cake. I asked her to give us a few minutes to decide in which she was still impatient so we just told her to bring us the check in which she slammed on the table. As we sat and finished our drinks she asked us was the bill finished four times. This waitress has been impatient for our entire visit. Maybe she should of took the time to tell us about the specials of the day and maybe we all would of had a better experience. I will not be returning. read more

First time here. Grandson was in town so he or dad picked it. I've not come before as I'm more of a quieter place guy. However, I had a good time and strongly recommend it! Atmosphere is wonderful with the center of attention the brewing vats. It was Friday evening and there was a wait. I did not know they had German food so ordered the sausage platter and a Pewaukee Porter. The Porter, 5 stars! I did some home brewing years ago and appreciate and enjoy the occasional special brew and this was among the best! The platter was bratwurst and kielbasa on a bed of sauerkraut and sautéed peppers and onions. Buttered spaetzel also. I had a cup of beer cheese soup. Creamy and cheesy but wish that I'd spent the money for the onion soup. Lots of interesting items on the menu to lure us back. It was the whole package. Fun atmosphere, great service, delicious food and good beer. I went with 2 other ladies from work about 5:30. The eating area is large and it wasn't crowded there were quite a few people at the bar. We ordered fried cheese curds for the appetizer and some drinks. One of the ladies drinks was too strong and the waiter had no problem taking it to the bar to have more raspberry flavor added. Our waiter was fantastic. He checked on us often and was genuine in every interaction. We ordered several different things. I had a hot turkey sandwich with melted cheese, sweet potato fries and I ordered a cup of beer cheese soup. The sandwich was good but the soup and sweet potato fries were excellent. One of the ladies I was with ordered a pizza that looked excellent and the other ordered a meatloaf meal. I had a pint of their strawberry brew beer. It was great. It was a bit pricy at 7.25 a pint due to it being a specialty beer but it was worth it. Again our service was excellent. They even boxed up our leftovers for us. read more

Diner here on Wednesday with a group of 8, as a walk-in. The first thing I noticed is how big and spacious the building is. Massive and decorated with typical brewpub decor, faux barrels and the brewing equipment on display near the entrance. The wood fired oven can be seen openly from the dining room. We were seated inside a small alcove decorated with a half barrel adorning the entrance by the very polite hostess. Our server greeted us, and promptly took our drink orders. He was attentive, polite, and professional. I had the house made root beer which was really good. I also ordered the warm pretzel and beer cheese. The pretzel itself was good, the garlic Parmesan sauce was heavy on the garlic which I can appreciate given the name, but it was a little overwhelming and made the dip sharp and a little spicy. The beer cheese sauce was broken and grainy. The rest of our group ordered the salmon, a pizza, and a filet, while I ordered the Reuben. No complaints all around. The filet was cooked perfectly, and my buddy ate almost the whole pizza. My Reuben was good as well, and came with crinkle cut fries, my favorite. The sandwich itself was huge, with the tender corned beef, kraut, thick cut Swiss and 1000 island situated between two thick slices of lightly griddled marble rye. On point. Absolutely love this restaurant and the vibe, but one of the main reasons i come is for the wings. Some of the best in the state in my opinion. I recently ordered some and was extremely disappointed. The chef changed it up. They were cold, soft and like 3x the size they used to be. It's like eating a rotisserie chicken on a bone. Not a standard wing experience.
