I am continuing to try restaurants near our new home! On Friday, I went with my mother-in-law to @thepantherpub ! Since it was fish fry Friday, I got the fish sandwich! The fish was nice and crisp and the coleslaw had a good flavor!

We stopped into Panther Pub in Greendale on a recent Saturday afternoon and were able to walk right in with no wait. The vibe was fun and laid back, which we enjoyed. We ordered the mozzarella sticks (wonton-wrapped and delicious!), and both sandwiches were excellent. The fries were great too. Everything we had was tasty, and we'll definitely be back again soon.

Came here on a Wednesday evening and it was fairly quiet, being able to get a booth in the back of the restaurant after walking past the bar area, Savannah approached us and asked if we wanted beverages in add to the water she delivered. My wife ordered a beer nd off she went to fulfill the request. When she returned, we placed our orders and then patiently waited while watching one of a multitude of sports being played on the surrounding tv screens. Food was brought quickly nd it was hot and pretty good. My burger needed a bit more seasoning, but the Rueben sandwich was spot on. All, in all, we were satisfied with the food service and ambience of the facility.and Savannah was pleasant and personable

You will love this place. Located in beautiful downtown Greendale, Wisconsin. Once you walk through the front door, you are transported to the walls of history of Panther sports in Greendale. You will find that there's plenty of seating (including booths and table tops). The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The environment was perfect for carrying on conversations while enjoying the atmosphere of the pub itself. Throughout the week, they have various events, including trivia. The menu has a good variety of items, including sandwiches, but also has some great dinner items like pasta and various fish entrees. They have their own personal take on a Wisconsin Fish Fry. They serve very good pub burgers and also a wonderful Reuben sandwich. We look forward to going back and trying more menu items. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking behind the building in addition to parking near the front door. We encourage you to check this place out in downtown Greendale... very easy to find and it's only a few minutes driving from almost any place in Milwaukee.

We went here on a Thursday evening, it was hardly packed. The ambiance was teenage servers who could be dis interested that you are there. Our server was nice very fast and honestly felt a bit rushed. Our food was subpar. The BLT was basic and unelevated, kind of cold as well. My husbands Buffalo sandwich was okay, he said the sauce was pretty tasty. Overall would I come back probably not. The bread on both our sandwiches was probably the worst part.

Friday night fish fry - cod

I just liked everything about this place nestled in the cute little village of Greendale. The service was very fast and attentive and the food was really good. I had the fish fry, nice crunchy batter and perfect portion size. The cole slaw was yummy and creamy. This is a rarity - but they had probably the best applesauce that came with the potato pancakes. It seemed homemade - it was cinnamon applesauce with soft little chunks. So good! The potato pancakes had a good flavor. Just one little half piece of rye, probably should have been more, but it filled me up so I can't complain. I was really happy with the experience overall.

This was my local restaurant to support for today so I called to see if the fish fry was available for lunch and I was told yes so I went over. I ordered the three piece beer battered cod with potato pancakes and it was ready in 10 minutes which was good. The fish looked good until I got into it a little closer/better. The fish was nice flaky filets but it was soggy and oily. The potato pancakes were not seasoned and super soggy and oily that I had to put them on a paper towel to sop up some of the oil. Fried food is soggy and oily when cooked at the wrong temperature or the fryer is over crowded which drops the temperature of the oil. The coleslaw really looked good but it was nothing exciting. I don't read any reviews before I go to a restaurant so I don't have anything in my head to influence my reviews so I can form an honest opinion. I did read the reviews after my fish fry to see if my experience was a fluke and sure enough someone said the same thing and that the fish fry has no consistency because sometimes it's good and sometimes it's oily. This was probably my first 2 star review for a Milwaukee fish fry that I have given and that's a shame because all the others have been good to excellent.

Had a good lunch on a Saturday. It was a little too chilly for outdoor dining so we got a high top booth. They have plenty of options on the menu, especially with sides. I had the philly cheesesteak sandwich on ciabatta which was scrumptious. We also really loved the "mystery beer" option on their drink menu For $3, they pick a bottle of beer for you. We tried it 2 times (2 of us) and we got a cerveza, mango wheat beer, weiss beer, and the cerveza again. Fun experience but would have hoped for a different 4th beer. The staff wore masks and there was spacing throughout to make our group feel comfortable. They had sanitizer throughout as well. The side options are great. I always love a good tot but unfortunately, these were soggy and oily. If you go, I recommend the fries! I would probably go back but hope to enjoy the outdoor patio next time!

Our server was very honest with her recommendations, including the pork slider, and her recs did not disappoint. The pork one alone had good depth, especially with it being a slider. We also got the cheesy jalapeño corn dip which was delicious. I entered wearing a $15,000 sheared mink coat and carrying a Louis Vuitton bag -- clearly not riffraff, clearly not someone arriving to cause trouble. My boyfriend, who is Puerto Rican, was dressed appropriately as well. We looked polished, put-together, and fashionable. And yet the security guard, who was slurring his words, immediately put his hands on my boyfriend the second we sat down. His excuse? "Your pants are sagging." They were not. This wasn't about a dress code. This wasn't about safety. This was racial profiling -- blatant, obvious, and unprovoked. I put my bag on the barstool, took my fur off and immediately in less than two minutes problems based on purely our appearance. Which is how racism works actually. I am African American, and as soon as they saw we weren't white, the tone shifted. This place caters strictly to white patrons and the few Hispanic customers willing to tolerate disrespect. Everyone else is treated as a problem before they even order a drink. Coming from New York City, I know nightlife, I know professionalism, and I know discriminatory behavior when I see it. Fox's is a disgrace to hospitality and a danger to anyone who isn't white. If you value dignity or basic respect, don't go where you are not welcome.

We stopped on a Saturday night for a late dinner. Got a table right away, and the server got us settled in with drinks and waters. The Blackberry Smash was fresh and flavorful, the Riverwest Stein in on tap! We ordered the Cheese Curds to start with. These curds are unique and one of our favorites. It's simply queso cheese that has been deep fried. No batter or breading, just the cheese. We split the Whiskey Burger. They made it perfectly to order, medium rare. It was moist and flavorful. We got the side of Sweet Potato Fries, they were just okay. Either overcooked or reheated, which was a disappointment. The service throughout the evening was exceptional. Always friendly, helpful and attentive. Just the right amount of attention, updating us on our order, checking our first bites, and any extra drinks. Thanks Lauren. A very good experience, for a Sports Bar dinner.
