Consistently delicious! A small local place that has the best pizza around! Their garlic knots are on point as well! I get them every time. Definitely recommend to anybody! read more

So many years living out here and a taste of home is all i ever wanted. Chicago style deep dish pizzas are worth the time traveled to pick up :-) read more

They make fantastic pizzas. My favorite is the buffalo chicken. Also, their delivery service is on point. I once ordered two extra large pizzas on a Friday night and they arrived in 15 minutes! read more

Ordered and chicken parmigiana and cheesecake and like 11:30 last night, y'all didnt get a call about my order until past 1:00! I was asleep by then, I called the store not even wanting a refund. Just a remade order of the food that has already been taken out of my bank account. And Del Vecs refused. What terrible customer service. I've never heard of a place that wouldn't remake an order. Times must be tough. read more

Wonderful customer service and the best pizza you can eat! Ordered on orderups.com for family in hospital and they are all so happy. I am out of town and wanted to help my family and this was perfect. read more

$1 slices between 2-5pm, good pizza regardless of the price though. stuffed pizza is also delicious albeit a little greasy, but thats to be expected when you consider how dense it is, i eat a lot but this pizza is so hefty it took me about 3 days to eat the whole thing. stromboli are also slammin... if you want no-chain pizza in ghent/ODU area, del vecchios. read more

This is the place to go to for any occasion. Me and my dad go before every ODU football game and during the off season we have to visit at least once a month. We come so often they know our order: Garlic Knots and a slice of pizza. They have other great items to like subs, pastas, and calzones. Their chocolate covered cannoli is AMAZING definitely a 10/10 all around. It's a great friendly environment and you can't beat their prices read more

Pizza by the slice! Very yummy pizza & great price. Only $6.25 for two gigantic slices & a drink

Ordered a pizza for delivery with three toppings the other night. Beers poured, Survivor finale cued up, oven warmed up to keep the pizza warm, Pizza delivered. Joy. Starving. Then opened the box and received a shock....they left off the most important topping. The one we crave. The topping that transforms a dull pizza into a cosmic experience. Yes I'm talking anchovies. The order was placed correctly, they charged for the anchovies, but the person who prepared the pizza messed up. I called and they quickly made a new pizza and had it delivered. So points for recovery, but it ruined the timing of our dinner and detracted from the main advantage of delivery which is no fuss no stress. Once we got the second pizza and opened the box... disappointment...they don't know how to make an anchovy pizza. The anchovies were sitting on top of the cheese, not baked into the pizza. Training is needed. This is not the same Delvecchios I recall years ago in downtown Norfolk. They knew how to make a new York pie. Aside from that, the pizza I would put in the good (not great) category. I thought the crust was better than average, it was not soggy or undercooked. I ate more of this crust then I do with most pizzas. It was not a five star pizza however it was good for the price, they have some good toppings like fried eggplant which you don't see around here much. And they let me keep the messed up pizza which I was happy to share with the work crew working in my house the next day. read more

Best pizza in Norfolk hands down. New York people run it so right there they know pizza. Chicken cutlet could use some work tho.

Pizza is just fine but I've order from them 4 times and every time has taken over an hour and a half to deliver. I'd be super glad to support them more but the wait on weeknights... read more

This place was good. I like it better than the chain places around here. I'm not a fan of Chicago style pizza so I ordered New York style. It was fresh and tasty. I also got an order of garlic knots because the reviews said they were amazing. They were good but nothing stood out as spectacular to me. I'll probably try it again. read more

Love the pizza here. I'm from new york, this pizza is comparable to the thin crust I get at home! And the slices with toppings is only about 2 dollars/ slice! Can't beat that! read more

This place was recommended to me by co-workers that travel to Norfolk area. I ordered 2 slices of pepperoni pizza because I was flying out the next morning and there was no way I was going to be able to eat a whole pizza by myself. The pizza was good but nothing about it blew me away. Better than Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns, etc. but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

during college i grew up on this. it got me through every day of chemistry lab. special 2-5 dollar slices. this pizza is cheap and in no way gourmet but that is what makes it so great. read more

This place is really helpful if you're at ODU. Their Pizza and calzones are great especially for the money that you're paying. They have a special on weekdays over their pepperoni and cheese pizza. Each slice for only 1$ from 2 to 5 pm during weekdays. read more

Don't order delivery from here if you're hungry. My pizza arrived nearly 2 hours after I ordered it. The delivery location was 3.2 Yelp miles away from their location. In all fairness, it was a rainy evening. The pizza would have been good if it had been given a chance to arrive hot. read more

My favorite delivery place, good and not terribly expensive. The greek salads are huge and tasty, everything is fresh and yummy. Customer service is decent as well. My only complaint is the delivery can sometimes take a while. read more

Delivery is always on time and Alex is the best delivery driver. Pizza's cheap but I don't like the fact I have to pay for ranch

Probably the only thing I'll miss about living in Norfolk. Some of the best pizza in the area. If you enjoy NY style pizza this place is for you. Constantly amazing food. Love their garlic knots. Always friendly girls and dudes working behind the counter. Keep it up!! read more

Placed a carry out order at 5:30 pm and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived at approximately 5:55 and immediately paid upon walking in. I was told it would be up shortly and they would call my name when ready. At 6:15 my name was finally called. I had doubts about my pizza as I witnessed one similar to mine get put back in the oven with added toppings. So I made sure to look at my pizza prior to leaving and noticed that mine was made wrong. Between being annoyed about the extra long wait and incorrect order, I requested that they refund my money and that I would just pick up food elsewhere. The cashier and another person from the back line tried to refund my order to no avail. After another 15 minutes they finally gave up and told me to call a manager in the morning to get the refund processed. The entire time there I never got an apology, just one excuse after another. I find it hard to believe that there wasn't a manager on shift that was able to refund the transaction or talk to the customer and apologize for the inconvenience. The pizza is always great and the longest you wait may be an extra 5 minutes. However it is a complete shame how everything was handled this evening. read more

Definitely the go to place to eat out at Old Dominion! Cheap dollar slices everyday and good pizza! You can't ask for more.

Gave this place 2 chances. Ordered for delivery on a Sat night and it took 2 hours but figured it was a Sat. Ordered again during a weeknight and again, 2 hours. Around 1 hr and 40 min I called back to cancel the order because who wants to pay $30 for cold pizza? Like...I did the first time. They were rude and told me I can tell that to the delivery guy myself when he gets here...Maybe if the pizza was hot or somewhat warm it would be good, hence the 2 stars. read more

Great pizza by the slice lunch specials and I love their chicken ranch pizza. The back part is their sit down restaurant while the front is mostly by the slice or takeout. read more

The PIZZA IS AMAZING!! You must try their pasta which also is delicious! I love the chicken ranch. I haven't tried anything that I don't like read more

Del Vecchios is my go to place for pizza at ODU! I caught myself eating here 4x the first week when I heard of it and get the dollar slice special from 2 to 5. Once you eat here, sometimes I'll be full for the rest of the day! Great place to eat lunch! read more

Seriously! $15 delivery for large pizza and garlic knots...you had me sold. We often order from OrderUP Norfolk the delivery special and have never been disappointed. The pizza is delicious and very conveniently located (delivery is also awesome and decently fast). The pizza is very greasy, but the tomato sauce and cheese are overall very tasty. It (pizza and garlic knots together) was definitely filling enough for 4 people for that one order, which is great for football game nights. I do have to say that I was recommend pizza from another pizzeria down the street and preferred Del Vecchios hands down. The garlic knots are very salty and coated in butter, but what else would you expect. I definitely look forward to ordering when I know I'm going to totally blow any diet/healthy eating that I had been trying to do. I have never gone in to sit down (only done pick up or delivery), but it did appear to be a favorite hangout location of college students from ODU. read more

Not the best pizza I've ever had but being from out of town the service was great and the prices can't be beat. Decent food for a decent price. read more

Called to see how long it would take for my order because I ordered at 230 it was then 315 my food was not here the lady was rude on the phone and said 30 more mins I got my food and everything was soggy and kinda cold very disappointed with this place read more

This place is so bad I created a yelp account to warn others. I place my order for a chicken parm sandwich, garlic knots, and a slice of cheesecake for delivery at about 2:15. It wasn't until 3:30 that my food arrived which is absolutely unacceptable if you cannot offer timely delivery in your delivery area than don't deliver there. If I wasn't so hungry and had already prepaid online I would have cancelled my order. Then the food omg I mean I'm originally from New York but even compared to other places here the food is crap plain and simple. My chicken parm had the most pathetic piece of chicken in there literally less the a quarter inch thick with a tiny bit of sauce and almost no cheese. It looked appealing in the bag but that's because they wrap it with two paper plates surrounding it, I had maybe three bites and tossed it, it was that bad. Next the garlic knots I mean something so simple how do you miss it up don't worry they found a way. They were soggy not like a little soggy but like it was almost a soup soggy. Maybe that's what happens when the stew in there liquid for over a hour when you deliver them. Lastly the cheesecake it was ok maybe because I was starving and had to toss the rest of my lunch, but it tasted like cheesecake from Walmart which it could have very well been. Please people learn from my mistakes especially with all the competition in this area there is absolutely zero reason to come or especially order here. read more

Finally sitting down going through my journal as I travel state to state. Putting up reviews for places I will certainly hit on my way back and places I will not return too. I will definitely be stopping here on my way back to NJ. The service and food are incredible !! Two thumbs up !! read more

Placed a delivery order for a few slices for staff members but when they opened their boxes, they found toppings were omitted. The person who took my order told me that delivery would be 45 minutes out. They arrived 30 minutes later. The omitted toppings were not written on the boxes so I gave them a call. Mackenzie proceeded to split hairs, initially arguing that the toppings were there but that we couldn't see them. Mackenzie said that the order was taken correctly and that the problem was with the cooks. When I asked Mackenzie to repeat the order, she refused, and forced me to repeat the order. I let her know that the order was later than we were told but she proceeded to argue with me that the delivery time was an hour, making it only 15 minutes late. I spoke with Emily who identified herself as a manager, and proceeded to relay all that had transpired. The fact that Mackenzie argued with me for the duration of the call, was repugnant. read more

So this is an updated review, and it's no better than before. After our last inaccurate order and lack of response from Del Vecchios, I was hesitant to try again but we decided to go ahead and order tonight. We get our pizza, which was supposed to be sausage, onions, and mushrooms on one half, and just sausage on the other. Well, they screwed it up--one half with sausage and mushrooms and the other with sausage and onions. So I called the store to explain the problem. The employee who answered the phone checked and found that indeed, the error was on their end. From that point on is where things went south. First, she didn't want to replace the pizza and asked if whoever didn't want the onions could eat the mushroom half instead. Really? When I made it very clear that we DID want a replacement pizza, she said we would need to send the wrong one back. No problem. I explained that I was very disappointed in their service and had sent an email the last time this had happened, to which she responded, "I didn't even know we have an email!" Then maybe you shouldn't have it on the internet as a way to contact you! So two hours after we made our original order they showed back up with the correct pizza, and we gave them the other one back. The customer service from this place, in my experience, sucks. The food is good, but it's not worth the aggravation to me at this point. Unless I'm taking out or eating in (so I can CHECK my food order) I will not be returning. read more
