The NY Stuffed Crust sausage and mushroom pizza here is probably the best pizza in all of Hampton Roads! However, they should rename it for our region, maybe something like Coastal VA Stuffed Crust, and start a new trend!

My favorite local pizza spot since Pizzeria closed a few years back. Consistent NY pizza quality at an affordable price. I had a hiccup with a big order once but it hasn't stopped me from going back many more times after. I prefer calling ahead for the $13 1 topping 18" pizza carry out special. Our go to is garlic and green peppers. Yum!

lovely casual spot for inexpensive but flavorful Italian food. Our waitress was kind and attentive, all of our food was incredibly fresh and well seasoned. we didn't order pizza but as we were leaving I caught a glimpse of them preparing fresh pizza dough in the back which only cemented my positive experience here. I truly enjoyed my visit and will be returning soon to try the pizza.

Philly sub. Dec. 16th 2022. Add pep. Where is the meat? This is a $12 sub?

First time ordered a cheesesteak add pepperoni, they had almost no steak. Where's the meat? Most recent time ordered the same thing, no pepperoni, but still very skimpy meat. I've been ordering from this place for years. They are sub par but I keep ordering because I'm stupid. Just order a pizza, they have trouble doing anything else.

New York style stuffed meat lovers pizza

I absolutely love their pizza. I get the New York style stuffed chicken and ranch pizza, but substitute the ranch for buffalo sauce to make it a buffalo pizza. If you like buffalo pizza, I highly suggest giving me a try. Their mild wings are also very delicious. Always get a some of those when we go there. This most recent time we got the meat lovers New York style stuffed pizza, which was delicious. If you're looking for authentic Italian pizza go here. I can't say I've never eaten inside, I'm always getting it to go so travels very well lol. But the inside reminds me of a business in New York and the staff is very nice. I highly recommend this place.

What's better than the real deal pizza and Italian restaurant? One that is open until midnight! Step into the restaurant and you see lots of people waiting for their pizzas, or salads, or subs or pastas. At the to go order counter, service is fast, even the open kitchen behind the counter is buzzing with busy chefs. Great selection of everything. There is also a full service dining only section. The ambience is divey, less formal than most Italian restaurants - but this is not meant to pay exorbitant prices for mediocre food - this place is for foodies who know where to get great portions, quality ingredients and great tasting dishes!!! This is my go to Italian restaurant from here on out - wish they have more of the grilled octopus, Branzino or cannelloni - just suggestion....

We stopped in after the ODU football game and the place was slammed - carryout crazy and luckily we were able to snag a table that had just gotten up! Osh was our server and she was AMAZING! I believe it was her and 1 other server in the dining room area and they were handling the mob of customers like each table was the only table in there. Osh was soooooo friendly, pleasant and attentive and I'm not sure how she managed to give that service to every one of her tables with how busy it was...but she did! To top it off our pizza and bacon/cheese fries were SOOOOOOOO DELICIOUS! I hope we make it back to Norfolk for many more visits because this will certainly be a place we would stop in each trip!

The pizza sizes are exceptional. My server did an awesome job explaining the menu and was very sweet. This restaurant has a cute dining area. It's perfect for date night or for family outings. The pizza I chose was absolutely delicious. It was stuffed with fresh meat and the sauce was amazing. The pizza had the right amount of thickness. It gave a perfect crunch. I also had the ravioli. The crisp on it was just right and was bursting with flavor. The seasonings definitely hit the spot.

Service here was amazing. Shay helped me out and came by often to check on me. The place was pretty quiet when I came in and they had football on the TV, which was nice because I was dining alone. The food wasn't terrible, but nothing amazing. I should have ordered the pizza. My pasta was a bit overcooked, so it became a slimy mess with the Marsala sauce. Everything needed a little salt. Everything was a good value, I would return and try something different.

You definitely get the most bang for your buck here. It's not gourmet pizza, more like college/ny style pizza. I love how you can get it by the slice in case you didn't want a whole pizza. The service is always pretty quick and they're cool people. The ambiance definitely is the college feel. My favorite flavors to get are the sausage and pep and the chicken ranch pizza. Their wings are pretty good, I really liked the garlic Buffalo. It wasn't too spicy and had the right amount of tang. The calamari and the stuffed shells were both okay, but didn't expect it to be amazing. I like how there's 2 sides to the place. One side to get pizza by the slice or if you just wanted to go orders. The other side if you wanted to dine in. I recommend trying it out if you're in the area and you want a simple and good slice of pizza!

I just started working in the area and my coworkers wanted to take me to some of their favorite spots in the area. Del Vecchios was the first spot. I was a little hesitant because it was giving "hole in the wall" but those usually have the best food and it didn't disappoint. We got there around 11:45am and ordered our food to go. There was about 3 people in front of us. I got the 2 supreme pizza and a drink lunch special. The prices were reasonable too. While waiting for our food I noticed there was a dine in area on the other side. By the time our food was ready, the line was wrapped around the building. I would suggest getting there before noon. The pizza tasted pretty good. We got big slices and I was pleased. I've been 2 more times and it gets better and better. I would recommend it to everyone!

The space is intimate and cozy with side-by-side counter seating right in front of the open kitchen -- perfect for watching the chefs at work and adds to the whole experience. We started with the ensalata di Luce and it was fresh and flavorful, a great balance to the rich mains. The pollo con strati was perfectly cooked and the lobster gnocchi was phenomenal -- rich, indulgent, and definitely worth ordering a side of sourdough bread for dipping in the sauce! To finish, the cheesecake with berries was a delightful end to the meal -- creamy and just sweet enough without being heavy. Service was attentive without being intrusive and the ambiance complemented the food beautifully. This place is small and fills up fast, so reservations are a very good idea, but snagging a seat at the counter made our night feel special and lively. Overall -- truly one of the best Italian meals in Norfolk if you're looking for great food, a cozy atmosphere, and a memorable dinner. Always my fave & we will definitely be back!

I was told that there was no availability for the evening and I should try to walk in for bar seats. Upon arrival, the bar was not busy so we took three seats and noticed that the table behind us never got sat the entire time we were there. To me, this is a pretentious restaurant that falls below the bar in every way. Second time dining here and would not return because service from Branice C. was a C- in her caring that she was even at work, to the upcharges for extra marinara sauce to go with the greasy overbreaded calamari appetizer. The oil saturated flavor was almost nauseating. Please change the oil in your fryer! Prices were not excessive but the upcharge for using a credit card was. Who really walks around with $300 cash in pocket to pay for dinner without a credit card fee. JUST ADD IT IN YOUR MENU PRICES!!!! The Boar Ragu was truly not boar but probably run of the mill ground beef and the four tiny slices of steak on the Caesar salad was a joke. We read the sign to seat ourselves and found a tucked away booth away from the chill of the outdoors. Our server was sweet. My husband asked about the Cesar salad consistency , oily or creamy....she said creamy but it was oily. Anyway, tho it wasn't what he preferred, he said it was still good. Our server wasn't too attentive. I would have liked a second glass on wine when dinner arrived. I ordered the marinated chicken breast with added pesto and provolone cheese, very tender, juicy and it had a great pesto flavor! However, the Greek potatoes, as my side dish of choice, was disappointing. The potatoes were over cooked, over seasoned and over oiled. My other choice of a side was steamed broccoli and it was very fresh, hot and (beautifully green ) served with roasted whole garlic cloves. My husband ordered the ziti Fellini ( with smoked tomatoes, chicken, mushrooms in a cream sauce). He enjoyed it. The place looks like a well loved neighborhood charm. They were served with a dollop of whipped Ricotta and a generous amount of marinara, the basil sprig was also a welcome addition. Everything worked well together and we enjoyed the dish. The décor is really interesting, as it has a secret dining room behind a bookcase and all of it is beautifully assembled. Menu is decent, with many typical Italian favorites. Starting with their arancini, it was decent. The temperature was warm, but not as hot as it should've been considering we expected it to be freshly fried, plated, and served. The jam under it was a little too sweet as well, but the texture and flavors were decent. Next up was their Cesar salad. This was my starter salad and it was quite substantial. The lettuce was great - very fresh and crunchy! The dressing was excellent, clearly made in-house and it was so very tasty. The combo of both was excellent! Lastly, I chose their chicken marsala for my entrée. It was plated quite nicely, looking very tasty. The chicken was breaded and appeared lightly fried, as the batter flaked off. The sauce was a little too sweet compared to my liking... I realized that marsala wine is sweet, but this might have been reduced or sweetened a little too much. The greens were inedible - they were way too vinegary. I took one bite and choked trying to swallow it down. Their crispy smashed potatoes were very nicely done. Overall, this entrée was just 'ok' but nothing special, which I found disappointing, as I could have ordered a pasta instead. Service for our dinner was nice and friendly. Prices are on the high end for the quality of the food preparation, which is also disappointing. So, over the past couple of months I've been to Norfolk twice and last time ate at Saltine downstairs in this Hilton and this time ate upstairs at Varia and both menus are amazing, service was adequate, and execution was lackluster - This tells me their food program is poorly managed. I left out the review of my dinner guest's pizzas... They eat got a pizza and each was completely over-cooked!!! I like char'd crust on brickoven pizza, what I saw (and what they explained) wasn't a simple char, it consisted of hard, over-cooked cheese and toppings and frankly if I got either of those pizzas, I would've sent it back. Given the absolute beauty of these eateries and amazing menus, they need to work on the management component and they'll have truly amazing joints, but not until then.

We started with a round of cocktails that proved to be tasty and well-made. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and indulged our really chatty table's need for more time, over and over- whoops. We skipped an appetizer but the options on the menu looked delicious! The wine list was fairly modest but hit all the necessaries and we settled on a few bottles of chianti. Yep, a few bottles. It was one of those nights! As we awaited our entrees, we could see into the kitchen and there was a chef back there making pasta by hand- they are not lying about that! The mood in the restaurant was friendly, a bit low lit for ambiance but still bright enough to see your neighbors. I would call the vibe "neighborhood bistro" and it had this REALLY warming effect on a chilly, rainy evening. Tables were all full but no one was seated right on top of each other, there was plenty of room to stretch and converse privately. Because I am a masochist and am avoiding gods favorite food (pasta) I ordered the steak. It was served along side roasted potatoes and a rocket salad. The steak arrived at perfect temperature and was seasoned magnificently. I'll admit I am a salt girl- I did not not have add a speck of salt or pepper, it already tasted amazing. I certainly did not feel like I'd missed out by not getting the pasta, even if it did look incredible. My husband got a pasta dish with sausages, and he kept raving about how much sausage was in it and how delicious the sauce was. Our friends got a copy of my husbands dish and the salmon with lemon sauce pasta except my friend requested chicken be substituted and the chef indulged her request! They were equally enamored with how well their dishes turned out. All in all, this was an unexpected delicious find and we WILL be back again!
