The NY Stuffed Crust sausage and mushroom pizza here is probably the best pizza in all of Hampton Roads! However, they should rename it for our region, maybe something like Coastal VA Stuffed Crust, and start a new trend!

My favorite local pizza spot since Pizzeria closed a few years back. Consistent NY pizza quality at an affordable price. I had a hiccup with a big order once but it hasn't stopped me from going back many more times after. I prefer calling ahead for the $13 1 topping 18" pizza carry out special. Our go to is garlic and green peppers. Yum!

lovely casual spot for inexpensive but flavorful Italian food. Our waitress was kind and attentive, all of our food was incredibly fresh and well seasoned. we didn't order pizza but as we were leaving I caught a glimpse of them preparing fresh pizza dough in the back which only cemented my positive experience here. I truly enjoyed my visit and will be returning soon to try the pizza.

Philly sub. Dec. 16th 2022. Add pep. Where is the meat? This is a $12 sub?

First time ordered a cheesesteak add pepperoni, they had almost no steak. Where's the meat? Most recent time ordered the same thing, no pepperoni, but still very skimpy meat. I've been ordering from this place for years. They are sub par but I keep ordering because I'm stupid. Just order a pizza, they have trouble doing anything else.

I absolutely love their pizza. I get the New York style stuffed chicken and ranch pizza, but substitute the ranch for buffalo sauce to make it a buffalo pizza. If you like buffalo pizza, I highly suggest giving me a try. Their mild wings are also very delicious. Always get a some of those when we go there. This most recent time we got the meat lovers New York style stuffed pizza, which was delicious. If you're looking for authentic Italian pizza go here. I can't say I've never eaten inside, I'm always getting it to go so travels very well lol. But the inside reminds me of a business in New York and the staff is very nice. I highly recommend this place.

What's better than the real deal pizza and Italian restaurant? One that is open until midnight! Step into the restaurant and you see lots of people waiting for their pizzas, or salads, or subs or pastas. At the to go order counter, service is fast, even the open kitchen behind the counter is buzzing with busy chefs. Great selection of everything. There is also a full service dining only section. The ambience is divey, less formal than most Italian restaurants - but this is not meant to pay exorbitant prices for mediocre food - this place is for foodies who know where to get great portions, quality ingredients and great tasting dishes!!! This is my go to Italian restaurant from here on out - wish they have more of the grilled octopus, Branzino or cannelloni - just suggestion....

A slice of their Hawaiian pizza - soooooo good!

We stopped in after the ODU football game and the place was slammed - carryout crazy and luckily we were able to snag a table that had just gotten up! Osh was our server and she was AMAZING! I believe it was her and 1 other server in the dining room area and they were handling the mob of customers like each table was the only table in there. Osh was soooooo friendly, pleasant and attentive and I'm not sure how she managed to give that service to every one of her tables with how busy it was...but she did! To top it off our pizza and bacon/cheese fries were SOOOOOOOO DELICIOUS! I hope we make it back to Norfolk for many more visits because this will certainly be a place we would stop in each trip!

The pizza sizes are exceptional. My server did an awesome job explaining the menu and was very sweet. This restaurant has a cute dining area. It's perfect for date night or for family outings. The pizza I chose was absolutely delicious. It was stuffed with fresh meat and the sauce was amazing. The pizza had the right amount of thickness. It gave a perfect crunch. I also had the ravioli. The crisp on it was just right and was bursting with flavor. The seasonings definitely hit the spot.

Service here was amazing. Shay helped me out and came by often to check on me. The place was pretty quiet when I came in and they had football on the TV, which was nice because I was dining alone. The food wasn't terrible, but nothing amazing. I should have ordered the pizza. My pasta was a bit overcooked, so it became a slimy mess with the Marsala sauce. Everything needed a little salt. Everything was a good value, I would return and try something different.

You definitely get the most bang for your buck here. It's not gourmet pizza, more like college/ny style pizza. I love how you can get it by the slice in case you didn't want a whole pizza. The service is always pretty quick and they're cool people. The ambiance definitely is the college feel. My favorite flavors to get are the sausage and pep and the chicken ranch pizza. Their wings are pretty good, I really liked the garlic Buffalo. It wasn't too spicy and had the right amount of tang. The calamari and the stuffed shells were both okay, but didn't expect it to be amazing. I like how there's 2 sides to the place. One side to get pizza by the slice or if you just wanted to go orders. The other side if you wanted to dine in. I recommend trying it out if you're in the area and you want a simple and good slice of pizza!

So we ordered the spicy pepperoni that many reviewers mentioned. Glad we did. When we arrived, we saw the front parking to be full. Fortunately, I looked at the Google Maps aerial view and saw the parking lot behind the pizzeria. We accessed the lot via an alleyway just past the pizzeria. The pizzeria is small. Has some seating but is more suited for takeaway orders. We got the pizza to go. When we opened the box, we were pleasantly surprised by how big the pizza was. Each of the six slices was about the size of some personal pizzas. The sauce & pepperonis were nice & spicy. The pizza was dotted with dabs of creamy ricotta cheese. Nice counterpoint to the spiciness. Fresh basil leaves added some flavour and looks. The crust was thin and delicious. Well worth the $22 price. We'll come back for the pizza whenever we're in Norfolk.

The slices here are HUGE--like, you need two plates just to hold one. It's super filling and definitely worth the price (usually around $5 for a cheese slice, a little more for toppings). I'm not normally a thin crust person, but their thin crust is actually really good. The cheese is flavorful, the crust has a great texture, and even a plain slice hits. That said, I'd definitely recommend trying one of their specialty slices too. The shop itself is pretty small with limited seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. During lunch rush, it can get packed, but service is usually quick and the staff has always been friendly in my experience. This is THE spot for locals in the Portsmouth area. It's no surprise you see reviews from patrons who drive from all over the Hampton Roads area to visit this gem! Service is so friendly and you can tell it is a TEAM! I sat at the bar so got to watch the open kitchen in action. Their system is down pat and you can tell everyone enjoys working with each other. Each dish I watched from prep to service was handled with meticulous care. PRIDE IN WORK AT ITS FINEST! Everyone works to serve you as a team as well, no worry about "bothering" another member of the staff for something, everyone wants you to enjoy your meal. I can tell there are a lot of local regulars as the staff was engaged on a level you only see when your clientele is consistent and have a vested interest in the success of the business. I've been to 16 countries and travelled all over the states, this is truly one of the most friendly establishments I've had the pleasure of being hosted at. On to the food! I see a few people complain about the small menu, that is the SMARTEST thing a business can do. Focus on what you're good at and demolish the competition. High Street Pizza and Pour delivers on this. My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I ordered the meatballs, the special for their pizza pie of the night (a pork belly, red onion, jalapeño, bbq drizzle dream boat of a pie), a tiramisu and two cocktails. The food in pictures looked smaller than in person... omg I ordered for about 4-5 people! But everyone was soooo good. Meatballs were tender with a fantastic red sauce. Pizza had a crispy buttery crust and the pork belly was rendered perfectly. Tiramisu was fantastic (not sure if that's an in house make or pre done, but it was on point), and the cocktails were perfectly poured with just the right amount of liquor. I left with probably two meals worth of takeout the portions were so large and I can't wait until I'm hungry again. I'm new to the neighborhood and as everyone knows, you need to find your fav local spot to frequent. I'm proud to report, High Street Pizza and Pour House has just taken that spot!

It's my own fault. Being a vegan in a world where eateries are not always vegan friendly, I have to…read moredo a lot of research before I even go to a restaurant. And I didn't do enough research about High Street Pizza, I guess. I always check the menu before I even leave the house when going out to eat. I look for vegan friendly items, and sometimes I call to confirm. The exception is PIZZA. Whenever my not-vegan husband and I decide on pizza, I already know I can customize any pizza with veggies instead of meat and cheese. It was date night Thursday, and High Street Pizza had awesome reviews. I did the "vegan thing" and checked the menu first. I found a lot of vegetable toppings, so I knew I could craft a pizza to my liking. We drove from Va Beach to Portsmouth for dinner. I learned that I cannot craft a pizza with no meat and cheese because High Street Pizza will not make a pizza without cheese. I had no idea you can't just take cheese off of pizza. I do it all the time at other pizza places, but the pizza here must be constructed with cheese. I was told I could get vegan cheese, but I didn't want that. Option 2-order a salad. I opted for the Greek Salad, hold the feta. And since the menu said it came with a red wine vinaigrette dressing, I could eat that instead. After placing our orders, the waitress returned and informed me the red wine vinaigrette was made with mayonnaise at High Street Pizza. The very name of the dressing is a list of the ingredients: Red wine Vinegar How does MAYONNAISE get in there? I even Googled it to make sure I wasn't getting it confused: extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, mustard, oregano, and salt Of course, the dressing can be altered to be "creamy". And yes, there is a CREAMY red wine vinaigrette. But that's not what the menu said. High Street Pizza listed the dressing as just "red wine vinaigrette." I didn't eat anything that evening, but my husband loved every morsel of his sausage and mushroom pie, however. He even said it was one of the best pizzas he ever had! In their defense, High Street Pizza doesn't tout themselves as a vegan friendly restaurant. I am not disappointed about the pizza because my choice not to eat vegan cheese is my preference. They tried to offer an alternative, I chose not to opt for the cheese alternative. Consider listing your salad dressing as "creamy red wine vinaigrette" though. It makes a huge difference leaving the word out.

Elation Brewing has a huge indoor and outdoor area with plenty of different styles of seating! It is family and pet friendly, and they have fire pits for cooler days/nights. There is also a number of different beers, seltzers, IPAs, and wines to try. Tonight I had the White Cranberry Sangria from Water's Edge Winery (also in Norfolk) and the Downeast Black Cherry! While both were really good, I prefer the Downeast because it was sparkling and just more refreshing. We also had the bacon Gouda pizza and the Hive pizza with hot honey. Both were great! I had never had a hot honey pizza but would definitely get it again! Tonight was trivia night and they had a good size crowd come out. They have plenty of beer options, but also serve wine, seltzers, cider, and non alcoholic drinks, which I really appreciate since I'm not much of a beer person. I ordered the frozen rosé slushie in wild raspberry and it was strong. I also had the black cherry fruited cider, which was delicious. For food, I ordered The Hive pizza and it was excellent. The crust was thin-ish and tasted homemade, and the ingredients were clearly high quality. No complaints at all. Service was friendly and efficient, and the bathrooms were very clean. Random detail, but the toilet paper was noticeably better quality than what you usually find in bars. It was not plush, but strong and not paper thin. Overall, I loved the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the service. I will definitely be back.
