In the area for the Orange County Fair and we came to Del Taco for one reason - they had a special menu item - a pickle taco. That meant we had to try it. My wife is a pickle lover to put it mildly. We pulled in, parked, and went inside. We had previously only been to one Del Taco - up in Apple Valley, CA. Not that we are against going to them, but we usually overlook them. We have one about two miles from our house but just haven't solidified them on our radar just yet. We ordered a couple of the pickle tacos and a couple other items and drinks to make it a meal for the night. The cashier was friendly and helped us out with the menu. Nice folks running this location. We got our drinks and sat down and within a few minutes we had our food. Nice clean tables and eating area. Really enjoyed the flavoring of the taco. We enjoyed all of our food and our drinks and then got back on the road. Really happy their special menu item enticed us to stop in. Would recommend it just for a different taste from Taco Bell or other Mexican fast food or taco joints. We really enjoyed this location and will try to remember to return during fair time. read more

This location is clean and has plenty of parking BUT it reeks of old grease smoke and is hard to breathe, the portions are laughably small and they dont pay for their spotify so you hear annoying commercials from the front of house and Spanish music from back of house. Every time I go to this location, Veronica, is so rude. It seems like she purposefully attends to everyone and leaves me waiting so long. I only have 30min for lunch and it takes 10 min sometimes to get my food. It doesn't matter if I go in or go through the drive. Get someone who actually wants to work with the public. We grew up eating Del Taco and thought nothing of it until we moved away to different places in the US that didn't have it. Our desert-island fast food choice, it's so good with amazing variety and it doesn't make you feel bad after you eat it! Very sad the bay area has ONE del taco and lots of people who grew up there don't know how awesome this franchise is. The two things I normally get are the Veggie-works burrito (8 layer Veggie Burrito) and the Del Taco. The 8 layer burrito is probably the only non-meat burrito I would actually choose over something with meat. When we were younger it was called the "Veggie works" and there used to be coupons for it all the time, love the combination of ingredients in this burrito. The Del Taco is amazing and filling, I still lover their cheaper tacos sometimes since I grew up with them but I love the addition of tomatoes to this and how much meat you get. Before, the only way to get something like this was to go to the amazing Barstow Del Taco the founder used to work at and glad its a permanent menu item now. The best del taco, the food is always good and the service is always fast, the gentleman working here as manager has been here for a long time and I love seeing his smile and plaice attitude when I come here. My go to is the value taco with crinkle cut fries, grew up eating these and they are pretty much unchanged. They aren't as heavy as other tacos and taste cleaner though for sure you can compare these to "real" tacos from the taqueria. I don't understand why the different locations aren't more consistent. I have three different Del taco locations near me. My old go to was the brookhurst location. Used to be good. Now you go there and I feel cheated! Then there is there location on Warner that I now consider my go to location. They seem to serve you what you expect from Del Taco. I am not sure why, but the customer service here was terrible. I went there yesterday and got 2 snack tacos, 2 quesadilla tacos, and a medium french fry. I noticed that the lobby had 3 different guests sitting there waiting for there food as well. I ordered "for here" which means i wanted to sit and eat in the store as well. So when my food is ready, they call me to come and grab the food. The only issue is that they served the other people and brought food and sauces out to them. So why did they serve them and NOT ME? I'm not here to write a review of Del Taco food. Most of you know what it tastes like, I'm here to tell you that this is the best Del Taco in Orange County. The owner here is very hands on. The restaurant is always clean. There are always nicely filled baskets with all the salsas on each table so you don't have to get up to get more. All of the workers are super nice. I always wish I could leave them tips. They never mess up the burrito. The fillings always stay in the tortilla and never fall out of the bottom. It's a Del Taco so the food and maybe the prices are the same systemwide. This location is easy to get to (at least until they closed Warner at Bushard) and the drive-through service is pretty quick. Once in a while the drive through clerk is even friendly. Some Del Taco stores are in shopping centers which, charitably, are a tad downtrodden. This one is in a fairly normal looking setting. We called to let them know our churros had no cinamon/sugar on them and we were pretty much called a liar. They wanted us to bring them back. So we are going to post them here so they can see it. We aren't going to waste our time going back for churros. I will say the food was decent. But the service there is atrocious I asked twice for hot sauce in the manager was all but put off and then I asked him for seat, and he ignored me. I wish that I immediately exited my car charged in there, and he said that I assaulted him by snatching the receipt out of his hand, and I touched his hand that I have no even knowledge all I know is I took a piece of paper of the man's hand, and to use that sort of language at a customer after receiving such crappy service this guy has no business running this restaurant. When I came and asked who the manager was, he said he was, and I said man, you have no business being a manager. He threatened to call the police. I said that point I said that I was unaware of the fact that I had touched his hand and if I had done, so I apologize and I said that that is no excuse for your behavior your use of language. I am very happy that I checked put this Del Taco as the last one that I went to make me sick after trying the beyond meat for the first time. I went through the drive through for this visit and everyone was super polite and remembered to ask if I wanted sauce or not. This time I ordered a beyond meat avocado taco and was disappointed that it only came with one crecent slice of avocado but it is a fast food place so I broke the avocado up and spread it throughout my taco. After taking my first bite my stomach unclenched because this beyond meat didn't taste bad like the previous one had. I am so glad that I didn't give up on the beyond meat style of eating.
