Well I usually can handle Del Taco. One of the few fast food places I can stomach. I got a couple of fish tacos cause they were 2/5.00. There was hardly any cabbage on it. That's what makes a fish taco is the crunch. the tacos we ordered, didn't have but a few shreds of lettuce. They certainly DONT look like the advertisement. Horrible!! Half the fries don't even have chili and cheese on them. In drive through I was asked to wait. The last car was at the window... still, my order, not taken."Hello" , I say, "oh I'm sorry can I help you?" Placed my order, and when I got home, I was so disappointed for like the 20th time. I've worked down the street from this location for several years and have consistent, amazing service. The drive-thru line is almost always 4-5 cars deep, but it rarely takes more than 10 minutes to get through. There have been several didn't employees managing the headset, but they've all been clear and courteous, and anyone I've met at the window has been friendly. I've only ever had one mistake in my order and it was just a mixed up similar item, so I wasn't upset. The food itself is always hot and I've never gotten a flat soda. I really appreciate all of the hard work their employees put in, which makes it my favorite fast food joint. read more

Seems things don't change here at all. Came in both employees were outside and one was changing fryer oil when we got there. Both on duty don't seem to know what cleanliness means. One made both my brothers orders with no gloves. The one changing fryer oil didn't change gloves before doing anything. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito, when asked if I want red or green I stated both, not realizing that it would be 2.25 for green sauce. The burrito cost 1.89. I can see 50 cents more but 2.25 that's more than the burrito and there was very little sauce on it. What a rip- off. read more

I have gone to this Del Taco twice in the last two weeks, the first time I went it was terrible food, but I like Del Taco so I thought I'd give them another chance, bad idea. I went today and ordered a Del Taco and two tacos al carbon. The Del Taco had nasty, rancid lettuce on it, and the al carbons were smothered in what I can only explain as a thick gravy that made them soggy and fell apart and the taste was bad, Needless to say I wasted my money because I did not eat them. I do have to say that the workers are very polite and I do appreciate that, however I hope that they start taking more pride in the food they are putting out. I will not go back again. read more

Food is ok for fast food..it's one of the only places I can splurge in I'm vegetarian and I like their quesadillas and bean and cheese burritos and del taco has the best fries... not always cooked all the way, they're best when hot and fresh and not limpy. April 6, 2012 Saturday - dinner 6:45 PM 1 adult and a child Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 2 stars Service - 4 stars Background - Been to Del Taco's before but never this location. Atmosphere - Talking about cookie cutter. Blah blah blah notify unique with the confetti imagery on the walls and neon cactus on the cielings at least the place was clean. Food Appetizer - none order. Main Course - I went with the number 9 combo, which includes a beef burrito, classic taco, small drink and small fries. Beef is so finely ground and covered in gooey melting cheese all wrapped in the flour tortilla to make the burrito, and it was fine. Taco was soft on the bottom by the time I finished the burrito. I hate to see if it took longer for me to get to it. Then right on top of the taco was the tomatoes. Right there in center was a chunk that had the core section. You know that section that has the vine attachment point and all the hard core in that section. But the real reason and best reason to go to Del Taco is for their crinkle cut fries. I could just keep eating those all night long. Dessert - We shared a strawberry filled churro. I have to admit this was my first filled churro. The churro was hard the saving grace was filling made it softer. The picture of the churro was nothing like the photo, but that is not a surprise; someone gets a lot of money to spend the day getting just the right picture. What was worse was the filling, it tasted so gross. It was sugary with too much artificial taste, was that strawberry or cherry, they say strawberry but they could have told me it was cherry and I would not know the difference, red slurry of nastiness. Service - Why would you have the delivery driver show up on a Friday night at 6:30? The Manager was waiting for me to place my order much I was reviewing the order and you could see she was distracted with the driver in the background. She asked if I was ready, I answered no. She then explained that she had to take care of the delivery. I walked up to the register and the drive thru window attendant took more order. Other than that it was uneventful. Uneventful at fast food is how it should be. Future - Maybe, but my time in my regular trips to Carson is coming to an end. read more

My Boyfriend and I come here once every few weeks and usually after 10 or 11 at night. I do realize that at later times they have few staff, however, every time we've gone we've waited at least 15-20minutes to receive our food and the staff that are present are always standing around talking and not doing anything. The girl who helped us tonight was obnoxious and slow. And they left us waiting for at least 10mins at the drive thru speaker. The food is great but drive-thrus are supposed to be fast, what's the point of having one if it takes 20minutes to get the food. Most horrible experience I have ever had!!! Never have I ever had worse experience at Del Taco. Supposedly, I spoke to the GM Scott. He said that he would replace the order completely for me. I told him what was wrong with the food. The food was not appetizing, I specifically asked for lots of sauce (didn't get a single one), fries were under cooked for about a minute so they were potatoes, the taco shells were old and stale, etc. He then asked me what was wrong again. Then he said let me talk to my higher ups. He said he would call me back. He never did! How rude. I literally left the food in my kitchen waiting for his call. So I call back 24 hours, speak to manager, Juan and he says oh yes you spoke to my GM and he said he is not willing to replace the food because of the price. WOW!!! I spent $70 at this place and told him how rude that was and I will reach out to my bank. He said thank you. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I will never recommend Del Taco again. Ok so the 2 stars is not for del taco itself. It's for the woman who I am assuming is the manager. We were dining there at 4:15 September 4th. The food was good as usual, hot and fresh. The employee that helped us was very friendly. The restaurant was cleaned. Now the woman who I am guessing is the manager, she had a name tag but I couldn't see it. Blonde, short, heavyset. Her behavior towards employees is appalling. She snapped at the employee helping us, she was constantly bellowing in the kitchen. Just a very unpleasant person to encounter. When she went out on her break the kitchen calmed down and worked fine. I will dine here again but I hope I don't encounter her again. Awful person. read more

The street tacos were good but the restaurant and cooking area had food , trash on the floor. Actually they would never passed a health inspection. I did not see the cooking area until after I had eaten and was getting a tea refill. I mentioned it quietly to them that food area and restaurant was very dirty and she apologized and said they were slammed. Then another said loudly sorry we clean it up right away. They were clearly giving priority to the drive-through because the line out there wrapped around the building and emptied, and then some, in the time I waited. But, I've now been to this location 3 times, and twice it was just not good. I usually order an 8-layer veggie burrito. My first time, the tortilla was so dry it was cracking into pieces. The second time, it was fine. The third time, the beans were "off," perhaps they forgot the salt, or something? I only ate half the burrito, and am throwing the rest away as I write this review.
