I was offered to give the Glenview location another chance by Manager Samantha Morici because I did not have a good experience with my first appointment - my lash extensions came off during the first week. When I asked Samantha how I would go about with scheduling another appointment, she said to email her and she would schedule it. When I emailed her about 2 months later to schedule my appointment, her response was... Typically we don't extend our satisfactory guarantee past 7 days. Since it has been several months since your last service, what I can do is offer you to come in for a full set at the Groupon rate. Please let me know is this would work for you. Thank you. Cancelled my membership due to poor service, lack of customer service and adhesion of lashes. Also the one and ONLY lash artist (Thu Hong) that did an exceptional job at this location has left the company. I have had nothing but issues since day ONE! First a poor job by an inexperienced lash artist, then removal of lashes, then applying a new set, a half done set of volume lashes due to lack of time, refill on refill's done incorrectly with too much glue, repeated EXCESSIVE fallout ( I have daily AM pictures) etc... Just my time alone dealing with this has been TOO CRAZY as I have a VERY DEMANDING SCHEDULE! I am a licensed cosmologist for 25 years and do high end hair extensions, by now if I serviced a new customer that was having this many issues they would have been FULLY refunded!!! I now am stuck with 2 more refills that I am not going to use and I DO NOT WANT MY CARD CHARGED AGAIN! NO RESPONSE FROM DEKA LASH! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LADIES! PERMANENT EYELASH EXTENSIONS SHOULD NOT JUST FALL OFF! They should fall out WITH your normal lash fall out and there should be an eyelash attached! DO NOT LET THIS ESTABLISHMENT TELL YOU DIFFERENTLY! Mrs Duffy can continue to profit off her soon to be 6 shops in the NW burbs by making people believe stupidity that DO NOT KNOW DIFFERENTLY! Disappointed in a short sighted customer service by owner during a pandemic: I was a loyal customer for over 4 years. During a pandemic shutdown, they kept charging me for monthly membership that I could not use. First, I could not get through via phone for weeks. Then, when I reached out to the owner on social media asking to make an exception and issue a refund, she offered to extend it for 60 days, but no refund. Sadly the pandemic is not likely to be over in the next 60 days, so I will be losing my credit. It is very telling how some businesses are very customer centric vs others hold you to a legal documents during a pandemic. This is a competitive industry and I urge you to follow me and take your business to places where they put customer first!! read more

This place was probably one of the biggest wastes of money. It was $100 for lashes and after 3 days they have started falling out. I followed all the rules and didn't shower until after 45 minutes. I have a huge gap on my eyelashes where all the extensions have fallen out. The satisfaction guarantee doesn't help me because I was visiting from another state and there is no Deka Lash near me. A lot of my friends have extensions and there's have lasted for multiple weeks and look better than mine do after 3 days. read more

I loved my experience at Deka Lash! The salon is beautiful! My lash artist Carol asked me questions to see what type of look I wanted. Since this was my first time getting lash extensions; she carefully went over the various style of lashes and helped me select which style would be most flattering to me. I am 58 yrs old and I just wanted a more natural look. She explained which styles would work for me and which wouldn't. I have droopy eyelids but I tell you, the lash extensions she applied were beautiful! She suggested I may want to consider an eyebrow tint; something else I have never done, so she did that as well. I also decided to have her tint my lower lashes. I love my new look! I don't have to wear any eye make and I don't look all pale faced like usual when wearing no makeup. The first time I went a friend referred me and they had an introductory price of I believe it was $80 for a full classic set. I went to Sam M and she was literally amazing. My lashes looked gorgeous and they lasted about 3-4 weeks before there were any noticeable gaps from fall out. Lately I've been wanting to cut down my makeup routine and just wear less in general but my lashes are always something I'm never happy with so I remembered how much I liked my extensions and looked on Groupon and was super happy to find that Deka Lash had a Groupon that was $70 for new guests or clients that had not visited in 9+ months. The lash artist, although I cannot remember her name, was wonderful. The customer service is outstanding and the beds are suuuuper comfy! Going in next week for a fill and probably going to end up purchasing a membership as well. Love this place! read more

my personal experience was terrible. I got my lashes done here in August- the woman who did my lashes was very nice and but I don't think she was very experienced, I felt bad telling her I hated the lashes but they were nothing like what I had asked for, I wanted wispy and longer than my real lashes, NATURAL. Very natural. emphasis on natural lol. the lashes I ended up with were so thick, heavy, clumpy, and fake looking they were turning different directions and impossible to brush. I took a picture as soon as I got home because I was UPSET. I emailed and told them what was wrong and why I was unhappy and wanted a refund. I was told I could come back and get them removed and get a refund, but honestly I had no faith in that place and didn't want my real lashes damaged by inexperienced people so I didn't respond to the email and just considered it $100 wasted. read more

The technician that did my initial set and refill was absolutely lovely. However, I do not think she was trained the best. A few days after my initial set, all the lashes on my left eye fell off. I went in a week later for a refill, which by that time was a new set. They looked lovely when I left. However by the next morning they were all turned upside down and falling off. By day 3 I had only a couple left on each eye. The reason for having lash extensions is to make my life easier, so that I don't have to put on mascara for work and to boost my confidence. This experience has not help me accomplish any the above. I had to attend client meetings this week with my eyelashes uneven and strange looking and looking like a spider with its legs pulled off. I cancelled my next appointment. If I am going to sit for 2 hours, I want to know the results are going to last longer than 24 hours. read more

Do not get sucked into their membership! I tried to cancel after less than a week and was told the way they billed I would be charged for another two billing periods. My lashes had all fallen out after about a week. Then they told me that since I had paid for the membership that I could come in anytime to use the ones I had paid for. When I did call, they said that offer was only good for about 6 weeks after the membership ended (a fact they neglected to mention). The store manager had the gall to say she would be happy to offer me a new set for special promotional price of $99! I rarely write reviews but this was the worst experience ever. read more

I had been getting my lashes done elsewhere for a number of months and they always looked good and lasted a long time. I decided to try Deka because they had a Groupon and it was closer to my home. The operator removed my lashes and then said that my lashes were in too bad a shape to replace and to come back and she would reapply. She did so but they fell off in a week. She told me to wait a while and I came back and she replaced them and the same thing happened. Since I had been having my lashes done for quite some time with no problem I figured that either the place I had gone to was terrible or this place was terrible. That is the reason for the two stars. The operator told me that my lashes were naturally thin and short but I had been told the opposite. I had lashes (not extensions) done for an event a few weeks ago and was told my own lashes were long and thick. So if Dekka is bad, the operator is not so good or my own lashes are not great, I don't know. I'd say to try them once and if your lashes don't last over a week, find another place. read more

I tried the elite membership (every two week refill) and the lashes would initially look very nice but would usually fall out within a few days of application. After that I tried unlimited membership for a much higher price but I honestly think it isn't worth it. I purchased their eyelash serum and used it consistently every night with my extensions but after a few refills they told me my lashes were becoming too thin/weak. I thought lash serums are supposed to help prevent this? I dont think their lash serum did anything at all for my lashes. I also had so much issues with them and I always get blamed for why my lashes are falling out, even though I take good care of my lashes, purchased their cleansers, makeup remover, serum, lashes safe mascara (which I never used) etc. Before trying Deka Lash, I went to an exellent lash artist in Highland Park, Illinois for 2 years and I never had problems with her. I thought Deka Lash would be a better option since it was a little bit cheaper and they had the membership option. Boy I was wrong. Everything (application, quality of service, etc) was just lacking. I think its good for like a one time event thing (weddings, prom, etc). But for regular application, not really. The place is nice and clean, beds were comfortable. read more

I went for lash extensions a few months ago at the Glenview location. The lash artist i was assigned to was filling in from their Lake Forest location. She did a really good job. When i was do for a refill i decided to join their membership. The next 4-5 appointments didn't go as well. I wasn't happy with the work or shape of the lashes and i was constantly losing more lashes in between appointments then i should have. I was recommended to purchase their lash cleanser for an additional $30. I did that, still had the same issue. When i addressed the loss of lashes a couple of appointments later, i was told it's normal to lose that many lashes. So what was the point of buying the lash cleanser? After quite a few disappointing appointments, i decided to cancel my membership. $120 is a lot to spend monthly (not including tips and buying their products). A couple of weeks later (today)i needed a lash fill for my birthday i would be celebrating this weekend. I didn't have time to look for another place so decided out of convenience to go back to Deka Lash. I told the rep who booked my appointment that my membership was canceled and i would rejoin at the next appointment that she scheduled. She confirmed everything in the system. No mention of any fees during that call. I show up to my appointment today, the lady confirms my name and next thing she says is "ok so there's a $40 enrollment fee due today". I asked why it wasn't mentioned when i booked my appointment? She didn't know. She said the girl booked my appointment wrong.She stated since not even a month has passed since my last debit, she would contact management to see if the fee could be waived. I sat there for 15 minutes while the lady texted (not called which would have made things faster instead of waiting for someone to respond to her text....my time is valuable). She said she could use her better judgement and waive the fee, but then i would be charged $120 today and $120 again on October 7th so that wouldn't work. Finally, after a total of sitting for 20 minutes, I'm told the owner said the fee can't be waived. What a waste of time and poor customer service. I had about 10 different lash artists during the duration of my membership. 2 did good work. My updated review after the owners response: Thank you for letting me know your staff didn't notate my account about my previous concerns just as they didn't book my last appointment properly or relay the correct information to me regarding the enrollment fee. I can spare the extra $40... that's not why you lost my business. From A-Z this business needs major improvement on their customer service and quality of work. This is not the type of establishment I'd ever spend my money at again. read more

The lady that did my eyelashes did an AMAZING job. I was comfortable the whole time (I actually fell asleep) it was a cute setup and very clean, but all my lashes fell out within 2 days. I was very sad because I went on a 2 week vacation the next day and couldn't do anything about it, as I was already out of town.
