Lash Lift !! First,…read moreI would like to point out that I love getting my brows threaded here. I have thin brows and only ask for cleanups. I get along very will with both of the workers here, very nice people. But I do have to write about an experience I had recently I booked an appointment for a lash lift for my brothers wedding here because I've had my lash lift done here once before. I assumed that the mom would do my lashes and my brows as she always does when I go. When I arrived I learn the daughter is taking care of me, and I had no problem with that for some reason. My appointment went well, I had some good conversation with the young lady and even connected on finding a dress for me to bring. Of course, when you get a lash lift you cannot wet them for 24 hours. I know this, and protected my lashes. I would also like to point out that lash lifts last 3 months as you read. Below I am attaching a photo of my lashes a couple hours later on day of lash lift. I immediately noticed how curled one spot of my lashes were compared to my other eye. The day after, I brushed my lashes with a clean lash brush and noticed they had a crunchy feel and were not separating. The wedding was 2 days after my appointment, I applied mascara as it has been over 24 hours I can wet them. Upon applying mascara I realized that my lashes were sticking together sideways making me look bald in one spot of my eye. No matter what I did it was just too curled to fix. Attaching a photo of my lashes with mascara on. My lashes looked crazy and there was nothing I could do about it. A couple days later I'm looking at my lashes, the roots feel kind of numbed and some lashes look like they're falling off, I use the lash brush and yup. A couple lashes fell out. Over the course of the past month I have had only a few lashes fall off, my eye has felt super irritated, my eye has gotten red af, and the extreme curl has not gone away. Attaching 1 photo of irritated eye. I have no idea if this is related but I honestly felt like I should include it just in case. Attaching 2 photos of how it looks now. I am not satisfied with the service I requested. I'm a big mascara girl and I've had lash lifts done before, it NEVER looked like this. I feel ugly when I do my makeup so I haven't been doing it and my mascaras are gonna get clumpy from sitting out for 3 months doing nothing. Getting a lash lift done here is a waste of money and I think it may also be unsafe??? Get your brows threaded here, the ladies here are cool, I love them. But in all honesty I'm personally never letting them touch my lashes again .

She does a touch up one more time for free but after the touch up it was still a little uneven. She insisted it was good so I just let it go. For $350, she said the results will only last around 1 year depending on your skin. Honestly, that is very pricey compared to places in Arygle and their 3D brows last an average of 3 years.

I should mention that I am a general dentist working in Chicago and saying that I pay attention to detail is an understatement. To put it lightly, I can be a bit controlling and difficult to please. At my very first visit, I had my eyebrows done. I watched nervously in a mirror as she tattooed my eyebrows. I was surprised at how quickly she was finished. I have read that this procedure can take up to an hour but I was out in less than 30 min (with half of that time actually being tattooed). I hate to brag, but wow... my eyebrows look amazing!! I still get compliments on them to this day. My eyebrows were not bad before but I always thought they looked better a little filled in. Now I wake up every morning with perfect eyebrows! Its really great, I would recommend it to anyone. I later went back to see Wanda to get my eye liner done. Which I NEVER thought I would do for obvious reasons (like what if i didn't want to wear eyeliner somedays?). I told Wanda I wanted it to look very natural. I trusted her so much at this point, I just let her do her thing. She did such a phenomenal job. It looks exactly how I wanted it to look and I couldn't be happier. LOCATION: I have been 3 different locations to see Wanda. All were extremely easy to find. Parking was never an issue (even in her downtown location!) and all facilities were clean and comfortable. PAIN: I was very worried about how much this was going to hurt. I am a bit of a baby when it comes to needles and I grow especially frantic with thing close to my eyes. Wanda uses a topical numbing agent before she starts and this helped more than I can describe. She must use a very strong topical agent because the pain was much less than I was expecting. Ultimately, your still getting a tattoo on you eye lid so keep in mind its not the most comfortable feeling. Wanda works very quickly and so even if you are having a bad experience, it doesn't last very long. MONEY: This is a bit of an investment for beauty but I did some simple math and justified this expense. The amount of money I would have spend on eye liner and brow filler over the course of many years was much higher than what I would be investing on tattooing it in. When you combine that with the fact that you will be saving so much time getting ready every morning it seemed like a no brainer! Overall, Wanda is a true artist. She has been doing this for decades and now teaches other people how to do this art. She is an esthetic eye, works incredibly fast and is extraordinarily talented. I couldn't ask for better qualities in my permanent makeup artist.
