This is a terrible alarm company. I tried to cancel on Oct. 2024 and they never sent the paperwork. I called today and they sent some unreadable email. They do not respond. My alarm has been broken for God knows how long. They have an emergency 24 hour number that does not answer. 800-329-4728. Even the operated tried and they don't answer. They deserve the lowest raiting possible. They even have a ssytem that texted you instead of calling your number when the alarm went off. I made them change it back to a call. I've been a Dehart customer for many, many years. They are always available and helpful. The customer service is phenomenal and despite error operator on my part, they quickly call , verify the situation and never ever pull a sales pitch. So many of my friends and neighbors have false calls, terrible service and constant rate hikes. Not Dehart! I wouldn't trust another company to keep me and my family safe! read more

Dehart alarm inflates material costs up to 300%. I purchased a home which the previous owner had used Dehart Alarm. Since the house was equipped with their system, I signed up to continue their service. The previous owner had 8 security cameras with an Watchnet monitor/recorder system. The system did not seem to be working. I could not get input from the cameras. I called Dehart to fix it. The technician determined the monitor/recorder was not sending power to the Poe cameras. He estimated replacing the monitor/recorder would cost ~$2,000. He stated he had a cheaper way to fix the system. I accepted the offer. He then installed a Trendnet 10 port power switch and a Trendnet power line. This was connected to the Watchnet monitor/recorder. At that same appointment I also asked the technician to install 3 additional wireless smoke detectors. Although I did not time him, he worked only a few hours. 3-4 by my estimate. The system did work but there were cables and power cords running all over my desk top. After a few weeks of staring at the mess and not being able to hide or make it cosmetically acceptable, I started to research a replacement system. I found a monitor/recorder system from BackStreet which cost ~$450. I purchased and installed it myself. It works great and has all the features I needed. The monitor/recorder fits nicely in my middle desk drawer. My desk top is now void of all the clutter. I finally received an invoice from Dehart Alarm for the job. I was shocked to see a bill for $1,517.26. The Trendnet 10 port power switch retails for $190. I was charged $350. The Honeywell wireless smoke detector they installed retail for $56. They charged me $150 each. They billed me for a Ubiquiti Outdoor Mesh. However, he installed a Trendnet power line. The Trendnet power line retails for $65. They charged me $168. Finally, I was charged $90 for a "Service Labor--Minimum Charge, plus an additional four "Service Labor" units at $90 each. I'm fairly certain the technician isn't earning $90 per hour in wages and benefits. I spoke with their billing department and expressed my anger at the inflated materials cost. I was told they have overhead they need to cover. "Businesses all do the same thing." "The inflated charges were reasonable." I asked them to reconsider the charges. The person I spoke with said her manager agreed to reduce the bill by $150. I'm still waiting for the new invoice. read more

I've been a Dehart Alarm Systems customer since I purchased my home 8 years ago- they came highly recommended by my neighbors. Dehart's customer service has been amazing like no other. I interviewed other alarm system companies just to make sure Dehart was as my neighbors claimed. Dehart sent out representative at no charge to orient me to my pre-existing system explaining all of the codes and zones. Anytime I made an error or had a question, they were immediately available by phone and problem solve my issues within minutes. They NEVER tried to upsell me and have even worked with me on billing. I sought out installation of glass breakage alarms near my lanai doors which was effortless and aesthetically pleasing. For what I would have to pay for video monitoring/ month, I chose Dehart to be more for the money. read more

Poor customer service for Manatee county customers. There were several mistakes made in the beginning of our contract. They refused to take responsibility for the mistakes. These mistakes had cost me time and money to correct. It seems that the only person that is able to make any decisions in our area is Lisa. Unfortunately Lisa is not one to find any viable solutions. Yes Terrible customer service. I have called and talk to them numerous times to terminate our service with them. But still haven't terminated it after numerous requests. However still sending invoices even though we called them many times to terminate and disconnect. Additionally the people we have dealt with there are rude and very unprofessional. Installed an incredible system in just one day, including cameras and phone app. Courteous and knowledgeable and able to explain to me how the system works via my phone. I am technologically impaired so that was no easy feat. Reasonable prices and excellent service. read more

Horrible customer service. Canceled service after three years, 8 weeks later still trying to get a refund on my Dec, Jan and February prepaid service. Also made 6 payments over the past several years for more than the billed amount, company kept the over-payment and never credited my next quarterly bill. read more

About a month ago, our cameras decided to die on us in our home and more specifically in our disabled son's room. After contacting Dehart Alarm Systems, they came out right away and installed cameras throughout the house and outside the property making our home into a fortress!! The installers were competent and very professional and although dripping with sweat from working outside and up in our hot attic, were smiling and super friendly! Not one complaint. After everything was done, they patiently worked with me to show me how to operate the system. We are truly grateful at how such a great system brings peace and security to our family!
