TOTAL RIP OFF!!! Lead to believe that I was getting a discount on new quality alarm system but all they did was put cheaper unit in, NOT what I was lead to believe I was getting. When tech looked at system told me systems was 15-20 years old, funny because Mad Marks installed system in June 2018. So I guess in 2018 they installed a 12 year old system. Then today while installing system they broke inside door handle and of course they would not own up to it. If you believe in 3 strike system, they are OUT!! Have used them several times thru the years, NEVER AGAIN. FIND SOMEONE ELSE for your alarm or music needs. read more

ZERO stars. I am a new, first-time customer. I purchased a new head unit replacement and booked the installation for a specified date. I called at 9am today when they opened to reschedule the appointment in advance. I spoke to sales manager JENNY who said she will have sales person AIDEN call me back as soon as he gets in. That call never came. I called a second time, and this time I got AIDEN who told me he never gets anything, including messages, from the managers because he is the lowest person on the totem pole. I then asked to speak to his sales manager JENNY again. Jenny came on the phone full of attitude, excuses, and hostility, and had the audacity and galling nerve to tell me she had other customers to deal with before she can even deal with me. I reminded her that I am her customer, too, and a first-time customer at that, who has yet to receive the equipment and service I paid a deposit for. She was horrible anyway. Patronizing, condescending, hostile, rude, abrupt, not friendly, dismissive - she addressed me and treated me like I was unimportant and not her customer. Their equipment is not cheap and their installation fees are in the high range compared to other similar businesses, and I was about to spend a lot of money and trust them with my vehicle. When I asked JENNY if I were to go ahead with my appointment, will she treat me and my vehicle like her other customers and give me the customer service that their business stands for, she said she refuses to answer my question and not give me that reassurance. Now, that is truly appalling behavior from a sales manager, it shows the lack of integrity and lack of care of this person toward a new customer. She then threw Aiden under the bus and she said he's green, needs training, and new, as if to explain why this kid Aiden gets no customer messages from his managers. How can I trust this company, their sales manager and sales person, and give them my business? I am extremely DISGUSTED and DISAPPOINTED at the shitty attitude and horrible customer communications I received from JENNY and Aiden. JENNY needs a serious performance review and attitude adjustment - what a truly horrible idiot. UPDATE: Jake called me after I filled out their customer contact form online. Made an appointment to have a front speaker replaced. They took my car right in. About 10 minutes later Zak came out to inform me that there may be a problem getting the speaker grill off without cracking it. They went out of their way to help me find out the cost of a new grill. Also called the Genesis dealer to get a cost on a replacement grill. The dealer wanted $487.56 for a plastic grill, but the guys found a wholesale outlet that would sell the same grill for $36. As it turned out I didn't need it because Zak got the grill off cleanly. New speaker went in and I was on my way. EXCELLENT job and service!!!! David B read more

Out of that amount on the pic besides a 229.00 speaker 950ish is installation and respective supplies for it. With that being said: 1.-They offered something that couldn't be delivered, ended up with a setup completely different, and not even because they offered, but because I requested so I wouldn't walk out empty-handed. 2.-What should have taken 1 day, 2 days in a worst-case scenario (if they were to deliver what committed to)...it took three visits and about 5 phone calls for each visit (phone calls for the most were just placed on hold). 3.-Music worked for 1 day and had to come back for a 2nd visit to fix it because it wouldn't turn on (Was only seen because I went over the place after 2 days with no radio, they wanted me to wait two more days for an appointment for something was their mistake. 4.- After that was scheduled an appointment for installing a custom enclosure with a subwoofer but was not possible for different circumstances on their side, not mine. 5.-For two consecutive visits fuse and power supply for the amp was just thrown under the hood with no finesse to their work just jumping within the engine bay (had to ask and offered to pay for them to fix it; at least I wasn't charged for that fix). The backBack cover for the seat on the rear cabin of the truck was not bolted again, and the back support for the seat itself only had one bolt put in place. I complained 3 times about the "buzzing/winning" sound over the speakers and asked them to get it fixed however it needed to be done even if it cost me more; did not got fixed. Also, after playing for a good 20 minutes at 3/4 volume it starts clipping the sound so bad that needs to be stopped. 6.- AFTER LESS THAN 20 days SUBWOOFER BURNED OUT! (Played three songs at about 2/3 volume, no rap/hip-hop) 7. Had to remove the amplifier from such a Bad Installation, ended up with a whole new installation, HALF THE COST FOR THE LABOR, AND AWESOME SOUND. read more

This place absolutely SUCKS and complete TRASH 22,000 dollars 3months in that shop for trash work i Don't even know where to begin front camera and rear camera were never installed correctly CAN'T even use them wires are so slices up can't even get my headlight fixed because it a total mess the Jeep repair shop can't even get to my air bag recall because it's a total jacked up mess 6 hours for nothing but bad things to say about my jeep as of the work . I can't even unlock my doors from the inside because the wires were sliced . Damn I know manatee county is small and this was a lesson learned for sure if you want something down to higher standards don't go there I'm sure it will be worth the travel to go somewhere other then them. Very good place to get a stereo. Sales people are great and knowledgeable. Good selection too. Ot issue I had was a delay in installation. The dash kit was a but tough to install and though it took a lot longer to install I wasn't charged anymore than quoted for installation. The end product is awesome! Great stereo-auto-boat-speakers. They have just about any kind of audio extras for any vehicle. If you have already purchased a product, like I did, their install staff will do a professional job and get it right. Mark has been in business for over twenty years and he guarantees their work. Wallace was my installer, and I give him high marks for a job well done. Sometimes you have to be patient, I noticed five people waiting to check out but they had two staff associates just to do that, plus the install people. Terrible experience. Stopped in to have a dash cam wired. Bob came to the 2015 4Runner which I already had the wire run and simply needed them to tap into the ignition for power. After several attempts and blowing several fuses, an hour later the vehicle would not start. After several more attempts the vehicle cranked but no fuel. He un-did everything in an effort to leave to pick up his child from school and told me to come back anytime between 9-5 and he would fix it quickly. I came back the next day (today) and he passes me along to another guy that was to busy answering phones to after a half hour of standing around I walked out. Terrible experience! read more

My son is here on leave with limited time and he went in to get an amp, speaker and box made for his new truck. They told him that they could do all of this with no problem the truck sat there all day and at 6 pm he went there only to find that it wasn't done to their agreement and they were filled with excuses and wanted to sell him things he didn't want. Then they told him to bring it back the next day and they would make it right for sure . Well they DID NOT and again filled with excuses and he has now wasted 2 days of leave on this poor excuse of an establishment! Truly Sad!!! Took my boat back multiple times and never got fixed ended up telling me it's cuz it got wet remember they installed and where post to make it completely correct they gave me run around and until now the work was never done correctly no wonder all his good employees have quit on him if he treats a customer that spend thousands of dollars at his store and doesn't care about getting it right never would recommend read more

i just called them, ask the price for a head unit install, i have everything needed. they said, just to install it will be $125hr and it will take 2 and a half hours at least!!! i took it to best buy, they did it in an hour for $100 and gave me a warranty. its a no brainer- mad marks is obviously ripping people off. read more

If I could give negative stars I would.This is thee last place you should ever take your car.I usually dont leave reviews but this place is horrible.I brought them in a car that basically just needed some factory speakers replaced and subs and amp reconnected.Car was already wired and had a system installed prior.Super easy for a pro and just didn't want to mess with it and mess it up.My head unit fades backwards now.My 6x9's have 2 screws holding one in and 3 in the other.They didnt drill holes to mount them correctly and therefore didnt put screws in to hold securely.Driver side 6x9 does not hardly work.Not sure why.My subs now sit higher in trunk as they mounted amp under box in false trunk bottom as previous install had amps where spare is but now it sits higher and i was very clear i wanted it to fit like it did prior.They charged me $850 dollars to screw my car up.all they needed to do was install a cd player.2 tweeters.2 6.5 inch door speakers.2 6x9s in the rear and reconnect amps n subs.They had to do ZERO wiring in car.Complete fail by this so called professional shop.The employees are clueless and do not keep you updated.They had my car for several days as well when it should of taken less than one.I will take my car to sarasota customs to fix this hack job as I wouldnt trust them with a go cart. read more

After reading my review on YELP! I was contacted by Mad Marks to see if they could make matters right. So, I said that I would give them a second (third chance). What a fubar! After wasting over three hours, I just said "screw it". Went to another business that I was referred to. When to technician looked at what had been done at MM, he said the wiring under the dash looked like a "rats nest".
