I'M A DISABLED MILITARY VETERAN THAT USES A WHEELCHAIR THAT GOT SCAMMED!!!
My wife and I let their Sales Manager and Senior Sales Recruiter Matthew Herbert into my home and spent many hours with him last February, traveling my neighborhood and introducing him to my neighbors because Matthew told me I would receive a $200 check for each of them that signed up with Vivint.
One of my neighbors did sign up that day based upon my introduction.
A few days later, Matthew was parked by my house again and further assured me he would be mailing my $200 check in a couple of weeks.
But, I never got a check and he doesn't answer the voicemails we've left for him over the last 3 months anymore.
I finally called their corporate today, May 28, 2021, at 1-800-216-5232, pressed 4 to speak to someone about my sales appointment and 0 for an operator, eventually being connected to a guy named Mando.
Mando told me they are not going to send me anything because I didn't sign up for their services after being on the phone with him for over hour today, with most of that time being placed on hold over and over again as he said he was checking with various people.
I had to ask Mando several times for his manager, which he said is in a meeting, but placed me on hold again to ask if he would speak to me.
After an hour on this call, Mando returned to my call again, he informed me that his manager Allen would be coming on the line with me.
Allen tried to ask me to agree that I misunderstood their policy of only granting a "credit to current customers," which I explained to him wasn't the case.
In addition to my wife, my neighbors were also told of the $200 check that we would be receiving, so I'm probably going to have to report them to the Sheriff's Department for interstate fraud since their company is based out of Utah. read more
