I wanted to take 8 acrylic nails off and just a simple manicure. I was given Samantha. Sweet as can be just out of salon success. 20 years years old. I had such a great experience with Jessica Malia! It was one of those days where a girl needs to feel good so I was calling around to people I knew who were hairstylists for a last minute appointment but no one was available. After searching on yelp, I came across Definitions Salon and decide to give them a call. The owner answered and said she would call me back in a few minutes to see if one of her girls would be willing to come in. I got a call a few minutes later from Jessica who had already gone home for the day but was willing to go back to work just for me. I did research EVERYWHERE different cities but was never comfortable with anyone. I tried definitions salon and they had one of their stylist text me the day before. She asked me questions about my hair and pictures of how I wanted it. I went in more comfortable than ever since I knew it was going to be okay since I was hoping she knew what I wanted. I love going in here to get my hair styled. As a male, it's always a struggle to find a salon and stylist to do my hair the way I want. I refuse to go to the basics like Fantastic Sam's or Great Clips ( no offense, I am just particular about my hair). I found these place a few years ago and have been coming in ever since. I trust every stylist in here and have let multiple ladies do my hair. I love the clean, warm, and inviting atmosphere when I walk in. My hairdresser moved and a friend recommended Tabitha. She was quick and took care of my hair and did an amazing job. She is professional and did exactly what I asked. She is experienced and it shows. When you read reviews about the salon I saw none of that. Hair stylists rent their stations. It's up to you to know if they are qualified. It's always good to have friends that can give you recommendations. I feel I have a new friend with Tabitha and look forward to having her do my hair again. This review is for the massage I received by Kim at Definitons. One word... Yes! Calming atmosphere and good hands. Kim was friendly, approachable, and intuitive to what my body needed. I would definitely see her again. Her room is sooooooooo very relaxing you could drift away except you don't want to miss whats going on. The spa also has a really good intro deal if you want to try out all of the therapists. I think I'll stick with her the next time I'm in town though. I went with my sister to get her haircut here. It was a place we hadn't tried before so she thought she would try something new. The woman on the phone originally told her the price was $30 for a trim with layers. She ended up charging my sister close to $70 dollars for just a trim/blow dry. I came here last Friday for the 1st time. Michelle Fudge was the girl that did my hair. She was amazing! She did exactly what I asked her for therefore, she listens to her clients. I was there for about 2 hours not all day like at other places I have been to. I did black with red high lights and my hair is long, below bra line. It was not damaged either. Riley is a must see person for your hair!! She did a fabulous job. I have been searching for a great stylist for yearrrrs. I went in to see her without a specific style and I left with a chic and fresh hair style that I never would have imagined. She gave me a custom cut based on my preference (ie: sleek, long, short, curly ect). My cut was anywhere from ordinary. I highly recommend seeing Riley at Definitions Salon her prices are reasonable and shes talented no doubt. I asked for a warm brown, low maintenance hair color (given that I naturally have jet black hair) and she managed to give me what I asked-- if not more. Last week I had my hair done by Kyrstal .. It was a terrible experience she didn't do what I wanted! I asked for a root touch up but instead i got semi color that didn't cover my grey.. She cut my hair and didn't even show me the cut she dried it without adding product to it. I asked for beach waves and I came out with a poodle style curl! I couldn't even run my fingers through it was stiff with hair spray! That day was my birthday and I had to go home and re-style it!!! I will never go back!! I'm sure the other stylist are great but I really think Krystal needs more experience and should shadow the other girls. I'm disappointed and now have to go and have my hair fixed after I payed 100.00 for my crap cut and color. UGH HORRIBLE! read more
