My wife and I came in for lunch before heading to the beach. We split the Betty Burger ($15) and opted for the upgrade to fries ($3.75). We also had our own ice cream shakes. She chose strawberry while I chose vanilla (apparently, today is national vanilla ice cream shake day). I don't know what I enjoyed best as everything was so good. Also, the employee behind the counter was friendly and accommodating as she cut our burger in half and gave us an extra sauce per my request. If there is one thing I'd change is raise the temperature a little as the restaurant was very cold.

I usually can only tolerate Buxy's for one drink and have to leave because of the sensory overload. We shared the " corned beef Primanti " on sour dough , which was surprisingly good. The menu did say it was thick cut brisket , the more tender corned beef is the "point cut" . The meat was a bit tough and chewy so I cut it up into small pieces and it was much better. I removed the fries so the bread didn't get soggy , and kept the coleslaw and we both agreed this was a really good sandwich. Things like over-pricing, snobbery, uncleanliness, poor/mediocre food quality, etc. are big for demerits for us. This place pretty much does well in all of those categories. If it faced the ocean more, it would be beautiful and may make up for other non-wow things. Still four stars is a good score!
