My sister hired Rob to dj her wedding this past weekend. Rob is an amazing dj that kept the crowd dancing to the very end of the night! Rob arrived when he said he would and kept everyone dancing. He played a good mix of songs that kept both the younger crowd and those wanting old school music on the dance floor. Rob knew exactly the right music to play during dinner too- upbeat but not too distracting. We got a lot of compliments about Rob. He made it a really fun reception. Rob was also very attentive and he and the wedding coordinator communicated perfectly to keep things moving along on time. We've all been to those weddings where before you know it, it's 10 o'clock at night and no one's given their toast, the bouquet and garter toss has yet to be done and it becomes a slapped together race to the finish. This DJ was a great DJ at the wedding event my fiancé and I went too, so we decided to book with him. However, we paid a deposit and was shortly met by Covid-19. As devastating as it was that we could not have our wedding it was more devastating the events that took place after. Since there was a nation wide shut down and events legally could not be held we decided to hold off. We asked the DJ for a refund and he said no. That we could gift his service or we could cancel so he could rebook the date but we would not get the refund back as per his contract. This is so sad and heart breaking to see a vendor take advantage of a situation that the government has helped him through with PPP loans and other small business assistance. We have put everything we had in to our big day for that to be taken away by a pandemic no one saw coming or could had imagine happening in our lifetime. So his contract did not reflect natural disasters or pandemics. I feel that this vendor is being truly unfair and and heartless it breaks my heart we trusted him to do the right.
