Bay Area Beats DJs provided the fun and irresistible music for my and my fiancé's wedding in May 2026. Our ceremony and reception were at the Lafayette Park Hotel and Spa, with the ceremony outdoors in the Fountain Courtyard, and the dinner and dancing indoors in the Independence Ballroom. The DJ, Adrian, was enthusiastic and easy to work with in both preparing for our event and setting up the contract, as well as determining the specific musical items for each aspect of the wedding. He played our special selections for the entrance procession to our formal ceremony, which was moving for us, our families and our friends. Then came our introduction as husband and wife and the special music for our entrance into the reception, our choreographed First Dance (which we practiced for months!), and the first dance we selected where we asked our guests to join us on the dance floor. Adrian had suggested we hire a saxophonist to play live at our reception as a surprise for our guests and a jazzy addition to the music. We did! It added to the excitement for the dancing. Along with the musical equipment, Adrian was responsible for the up lighting at our event, which created a lovely ambiance for the reception. Adrian had worked with us on the timeframes for our event - that is the time we were introduced as a couple, the timing of the toasts, the timing of the first dance, etc. Adrian's experience as a DJ and master of ceremonies was evident as he confirmed with us on the timelines during the evening, and helped us keep our event running smoothly. Adrian DJ'd our wedding on 9/24/21, and did a fantastic job. We had a few unique requests (my mom singing for our first dance, our grand entrance during the cocktail hour instead of dinner, and a sort of ever changing timeline of events) and he did an amazing job from beginning to end. Towards the end of the night, people were still dancing and partying, we weren't sure if our guests would feel like dancing due to COVID, but we were wrong. Adrian, along with our other vendors, kindly extended another 30 minutes on the spot to keep the party going. It was worth it and a perfect way to round out the evening. We got song requests from our guests ahead of time and created a playlist for him with it - he did a wonderful job playing the requested songs at the right time, and adding other music, based on people's energy levels, and I had guests running up to me all night saying "this is my song!!". He was immediately responsive to our inquiry, took time to call my (now) wife to answer questions we had, and was extremely accommodating from start to finish.
