We had Sound Wave Mobile DJ for our wedding this past November at Casa Bella (Sunol, CA) and we can't recommend him enough! They were one of several DJ's our venue had us choose from. What stood out about David in our search were package options within our budget, being bilingual with English & Spanish, and the many reviews that spoke to his ability to read the room and keep events fun for guests of all ages. We ended up choosing the Dream package with some extras, so he provided the processional/recessional music for the ceremony, served as our DJ/MC for the reception, and provided additional lighting and the photo-booth - and we were so happy with all of it! We chose Sound wave mobile for a few reasons: 1) They worked with our venue a lot, so it was really easy to get them to setup and operating at our venue, 2) they offered photo booth packages alongside the officiant services (though we ultimately did not use this option) which was super convenient, and 3) their website was packed full of information which showed the experience that David and his wife offered. We worked with him on our first dance music. We picked Ed Sheeran "Thinking Out Loud" (I think everybody picked this song in 2015 for first dance, lol). We had choreographed our first dance based on a 2.5 min. cut of the song and he had no problem editting that song for us. In addition, we had a wedding dance song which included a mix of 3 different songs, he was able to mix it for us as well. On the day of the wedding, David and his team came early to set-up. Honestly, his team got to work and all I saw that day was great music, he was a great MC and made sure our timeline was on schedule. He also help host our wedding games. David and his staff was great to work with for our wedding! His webGUI for picking songs and organizing songs per wedding section was really convenient. What stood out with David vs other DJs was his webGUI and his free treats like monogram projection and GOBOs. He worked really well with our coordinator to make the day run worry-free. We had live singers as part of our ceremony and he worked hard to accommodate them. Our singers had to change tracks 3 times including at 1AM and 10AM on the day of for an afternoon ceremony. David gladly went the extra mile to make it work even if the other people weren't on their game. He is a true professional in every sense of the word, and he is such a great vendor to work with. He is easy to communicate with, and is very detailed to make sure that the party goes smoothly. His attention to details shows how experienced he is, and this decreases the stress from planning knowing that the timing of the night are being handled and checked off by David's planning. He has this on-line planner that's very user friendly and it covers pretty much all the aspects of the events and timing of the wedding. From the cocktail hour, to entrance, to games, to dinner, to speeches, to first dance, Mother/Son and Father/Daughter, money dance, etc., it all can be planned on-line! It's so great, because David looks at it and helps make adjustments based on events he's done in the past that have worked well. You can even upload a playlist of music for cocktail hour as well as for the free dance, as well as putting songs that you DON'T want to hear at all during the event! As a DJ, David is automatic with choosing the right songs to get the crowd involved. I have older Filipino aunties and uncles, and David had songs lined up for them so they can Cha Cha! I didn't even have to ask him to! Another service David offers that we got was the photo both. David's set-up is the best! I highly suggest upgrading to the "open-air" Photo Booth just so you can fit bigger groups of people in pictures. The props he offers are high quality, as in many of them are wooden and not flimsy plastic. There was one prop that was a car that was a hit and we saw many groups use it! The bonus thing about David's photo booth is that the pictures also get uploaded to a personal on-line gallery that guests can view and download to post on social media! Awesome DJ which was preferred by my wedding venue. He is great to work with and easy communication. His online planner is easy to work with. David also has an open air photo booth which we loved and was a big hit. His assistant was quick and kept all the props tidy. They even let us use our own backdrop. David was great! We hired him for our wedding Dj, uplighting and photo booth. We told him it was an American-Mexican wedding and we wanted a variety of English as well as Spanish music. His online planning tool helped us plan our timeline and add songs so he could get an idea of the type of music we like. He did a great job and kept people on the dance floor until the end of the night. I danced my little heart out to all the music we had asked him to play. We even changed it up at the last minute and had some traditional Mexican dances that we had not planned on.
