I recently hired Joe for my personal party and was blown away by the amazing lighting setup they provided. From the moment we walked in, the room was filled with vibrant colors and exciting effects that really set the tone for the party. T he DJ's attention to detail and creativity in designing the lighting really made the event feel special and unique. Not only did the lighting look great, but it also helped create a fun and lively atmosphere that got everyone up and dancing. I can't thank Joe enough for his hard work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to add some excitement and energy to their next event! WOW!!! We just had our wedding and DJ Manifesto was the best DJ/MC we could have imagined. I am so incredibly happy with how everything turned out. First of all, Joe is by far THE most professional vendor we have ever worked with. He is always responsive, he responds to emails within minutes and is always available for phone calls. He is extremely detailed oriented and answered all our questions and guided us during the wedding planning process. He is so prompt and blew all the other DJs out of the water so we knew we made the right decision at the beginning. When it came close to the event, DJ Joe always reached out to US instead of the other way around which I found so refreshing as I knew he cared about his future events. He made sure all the special music we requested was correct and made sure the entire flow to the ceremony and the reception was on point. The day of our wedding, I had no idea that he needed 200 FT of electrical cord to reach out to our ceremony sight. Our venue said that it was only 100FT. I'm so grateful that he was well prepared and it all worked out and that I had no idea, and he figured it out on his own without stressing out my husband and I on our special day. He guided the ceremony music which flowed so well and has an amazing MC voice! And best of all, our dance floor was so lit the whole night! It was packed and I couldn't have asked for anything better! He faded the music so wonderfully and kept everyone on the dance floor! I would recommend DJ Joe to any of my friends and family, I hope you're as lucky as us to have such a freaking awesome DJ! read more

We hired Joe to DJ our wedding and design lighting for the event. He really went above and beyond to figure out what we wanted in terms of lighting design and music before the event. He did all the announcements throughout the event as we discussed, and everything went smoothly. He had a helpful template that we used to put together a list of songs we wanted played, and he stuck to the plan and put it together in a thoughtful way. He took a few photos and videos and even kept audio of our toasts! An unexpected and pleasant surprise! Definitely recommend! read more

Joe dj'd an event for my family and I back in 2008. It was my birthday party when I was in 8th grade and it's one of the most memorable birthday parties I ever had growing up. Everyone was so happy and I still remember some of the songs he played! Fast forward, long story short - Joe almost dj'd my wedding but due to a date change he didn't. He wasn't available on our new date, as he was already working another event - go figure, he's a popular dj! Anyway (even though it's been months!) Joe sent us a thoughtful email a day before our wedding simply to wish us a great time at our wedding and also a lifetime of happiness and love. It meant a lot to us he reached out, even though he unfortunately couldn't be there on our special day. I'm writing this review one because 1) he did dj a ridiculously memorable event when I was 13, and I'm 27 now with vivid memories of an amazing time - but also because 2) what a thoughtful person to connect with us before our big day. Thank you Joe! I know who I'll call the next time I'm planning a dj-worthy event! read more

We hired Thump Sound to provide uplighting for our formal event last Saturday. Communication from Joe Manifesto was prompt and very professional. Prior to the event, Joe provided a number of lighting layout options for us to choose. Set up was completed on time. The lighting in the room created just the right ambience. It really made a huge impact on the overall look we wanted to achieve. When the party was over, Joe was very considerate about waiting to breakdown while some guests stayed a short while to chat. I would highly recommend Thump Sound and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for future events. read more

We had the opportunity of having Joe DJ our wedding and we are so glad that it worked out great! Joe was professional and responsive in helping us to plan out the music timeline. Each moment of the day included the exact song that we chose. He was open to hearing what we wanted and also provided recommendations. He provided the sound setup for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The booth and system were very professional looking, and provided the right amount of sound and bass. The colorful lighting set the best vibe and his MC services were very organized and encouraged the guests to enjoy a great time. We appreciate the time he spent in helping us plan the timeline, music lists, and setup. Joe was great to work with, arrived on time, was very prepared, and worked well with our caterer in calling tables to get ready for photos and food. For our wedding, my wife gave me one responsibility and only one responsibility...and that is to find a good DJ no matter what the cost...so, as you can imagine, the pressure was on. I interviewed 6 DJs in the area and let's just say that DJ Joe was by far the most charismatic and personable DJ that I interviewed. After my first meeting with DJ Joe, I knew instantly that he was the DJ for our wedding. As it turned out, DJ Joe was the most reasonable in regards to cost. DJ Joe was very responsive and accommodating to the numerous changes that we made up until the wedding. During our wedding, DJ Joe was perfectly on queue with the music and song choices. He even gave us pictures, videos, and audios of the wedding that we will cherish forever. Thanks DJ Joe for the being our DJ, and for all of the great memories! read more

Just had our wedding dj'd by the amazing Joe! You're a rockstar, but without the overbearing persona of one. You had no trouble making the event about us, and on behalf of my wife and I, we really appreciate the excellent communication you kept up with us, months/weeks/days leading up to the event. Truly a professional, and I could rest easy knowing that you've had our backs and seriously had the best of intentions for us from day 1. Joe, I truly hope more couples have the pleasure of working with you in the future, as you've definitely gone above and beyond for us. This might be a silly sidenote, but I want everyone to acknowledge your work ethic during the day of; I know that you showed up by yourself, set everything up hours and advance, checked in with us, flashed us signs from the dj booth, and kept the party running well into the night! Did you see the crowd dancing at the end? Truly surpassed all of our expectations :) Thanks so much Joe! It's hard to imagine a better dj choice for our big night! All you other couples out there, hands down Thump Sound will do their best to make your night go perfectly! read more

He is by far the best DJ I've ever had the pleasure of using. I used him for my birthday some years ago and he was affordable and put up with my DIVA-ish ways. We also used him for my cousins birthday. He was on time. He had an amazing sound system. He played music that suits the crowd. I wouldn't book with any other DJ! read more

Joe was the DJ for our wedding that took place in August. From day 1, he was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We received several comments from our guests on how much they loved the DJ because everything flowed so smoothly. There were no awkward pauses during the wedding and there were great transitions between the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and dancing. His sound equipment is great and he also offers wireless mics or a mic stand during the reception. Joe was incredibly thorough with his timeline for the wedding. He sends you a wedding event timeline with all your song requests and the specific list of songs you want. You can be as picky or carefree about songs you want. I gave Joe a list of songs I wanted during the actual ceremony and Joe sent me many variations of the songs that I wanted (guitar version, violin, band, instrumental, with lyrics, etc). You can give him a certain song that you like and he can try to find a instrumental cover of that song performed by someone else, or can take a song from YouTube and convert it to play. We probably contacted 20 other DJs as well but Joe was the most reasonably priced and easiest to work with. If you're looking for a patient DJ that works hand in hand with you to make your song selections and has great ideas, I would highly recommend Joe. read more

The perfect balance of fun and professional is only one of the many things that I can use to describe DJ Joe Manifesto. He has been hired for two events at Notre Dame de Namur University (Belmont, CA) and has had outstanding reviews from all our guests each time. He does his best to cater to the client's needs from providing great samples of his work, to working through all negotiations and paperwork, to giving you a party planning sheet that he uses to create an awesome playlist! He is definitely one of the my go-to DJ's and will be for a very long time. Professionalism -- prompt and ready to work. He takes care of everything himself. Every time I contacted him (prior to and during events), he maintains a sense of professionalism that I have yet to find in another DJ. I never have to worry about anything with him. DJ ability -- excellent! His mixes flow very well from song to song keeping everyone on the dance floor partying all night long! Suffice it to say, this guy knows his stuff. read more

Joe was absolutely fantastic. We have used Thump Sound twice now and on both occasions, everything was flawless. Not to mention our last event was in 100 degree heat, and Joe still had a great attitude about it. Punctual, professional, a pleasure to work with. read more

We are so happy we hired DJ Joe for our wedding! He sent us the typical DJ form to get an idea of what type of music we liked and what songs we wanted to have played during our cocktail and reception hours. We gave him specific songs as well as some genres for the two different "portions" of our wedding (cocktail dinner hours as well as reception dancing hours); however with how busy our lives were leading up to it, we never completed our lists. We were rushed and so we gave him about 30 different songs or so. We were nervous that maybe we didn't give him enough, but were we wrong!!! I could not have picked better songs myself! He knows enough about all genres of music that the entire night people kept saying "what a great song!". Numerous guests came up to us and stated what great music we had - both during the reception itself, as well as afterwards. The dance floor did not empty one time during the entire 4 hour reception, and I know the majority of that has to do with DJ Joe and his excellent song selections. He also emceed our bridal party introductions, as well as the different speeches throughout the dinner. He reminded our guests to sign the guest book. He dressed to impress as well, which fit in with our beautiful hotel, as well as with our wedding attire. I highly recommend hiring Thump Sounds, especially DJ Joe, for your next party - whether it's a birthday party, engagement party, reunion or a wedding - you won't be disappointed!!! read more

OH EM GEEE...PLEASE READ‼ I just got married this past Friday and HAVE to let you guys know of my experience! Let me start by saying I was soooo nervous choosing a D.J...after all, this is the biggest day of my life! I researched like crazy...even my personal friends that had experienced other DJ's for themselves with great reviews couldn't help me feel like I was choosing the right person. The moment I read JOE MANIFESTO's reviews I KNEW he was legit! From the first email I sent he literally was on top of it. He's replying speed was even impressive!! Once we decided to go with him, he sent us a 3 page itinerary! He was beyond one Of the most detailed, organized, professional, and down to earth individuals I have ever met! My husband was extremely picky on who we hired especially for such a huge part in our wedding so i had to make sure whoever he/she was was top notch! He blew us both away! He would check up on us, made last minute changes and even was a counselor the last few days when I was freaking out Joe, you were phenomenal and will suggest you every single time!!!!!! read more

We hired Joe for a party in our backyard recently. I give Joe/DJ Thump sound 5* for following reasons: * Very professional to work with * Great personality, polite and easy to talk to * He showed up on time, delivered everything as expected. Brought all equipment, setup well ahead of party * Took ALL our inputs for the type of music and played it all. We hired him 2 mos before the party, he checked in every few weeks/days before the party to make sure we were all in sync. He even inquired about the dress code for the party. * Had a great selection of latest BOLLYWOOD music - blew us away. Mind you, this is in additional to the latest American pop/dance music * AND THE #1 REASON JOE GETS 5* - MY KIDS LOVED HIM. WE HAD HIM FOR OUR DAUGHTER'S GRADUATION PARTY AND SHE AND HER YOUNGER BROTHER GAVE HIM 2 THUMBS UP. One of my best experiences, if not the best, working with a professional. read more

DJ Joe Manifesto was heaven-sent for my company's corporate trade show in September. I was juggling a million details and customer invites and did not have the bandwith to create a compelling playlist, but Joe ran with my basic suggestions and played perfect selections the entire night! Not only were Joe's music choices and pacing on point, he was incredibly easy to work with. He emailed me to clarify all needs ahead of time, and I did not have to seek him out or wait for return phone calls to have details sorted - this was invaluable. He also played through clean up, even after our main guests left and our just our employees and sponsors were connecting, continuing the fun for our team. I cannot recommend Thump Sound enough, it was fantastic to have a such a smooth vendor process and the professionalism was top notch. Thanks for the great event! read more

Several months ago we had been referred to Thump Sound and Joe Manifesto for our DJ needs...a wedding reception for my recently married son and new daughter-in-law at Castlewood on Saturday -- and what a terrific referral it turned out to be. After Joe understood our overall plan (which was fairly non-specific and scattered -- it was our first wedding reception) he guided us to a specific and well-planned itinerary for the entire event. A couple of months ahead of time, he met with us and the event coordinator at the venue and we developed an overall layout. After our general concept was explained he gave us a template, including hundreds of song possibilities for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, and through a few iterations we eventually reached a well thought out and complete agenda for the event. The itinerary included Joe as emcee, which worked flawlessly. Joe was very patient with us during the process and provided tons of feedback and suggestions, most of which we incorporated. The reception was a blast and we received compliments from all of our guests about Joe's DJ and emcee work. We also had video needs for our event, which I knew (thought) I could handle on my own. Well, as it turned out, during the event, I needed some assistance with making sure my videos worked seamlessly, and though Joe was not hired to help with my videos, he nevertheless bailed me out of a near disaster -- and it worked! So he is flexible and resourceful too! Bottom line, Joe and Thump Sound are professional, courteous, upbeat, timely, responsive, encouraging, and very, very helpful. My wife and I learned that planning and pulling off a reception can be a stressful undertaking (understatement) -- and it was great that Joe held our hand throughout the process and the event, to make it a wonderful day and evening for our son and daughter-in-law. Plus, the Castlewood event coordinator was very impressed with Joe (including his setup, equipment and professionalism) and looks forward to working with Thump Sound again. It was a great day, largely through the efforts of Joe and Thump Sound. read more

My best friend Todd and his partner (now husband) were planning their wedding and put me in charge of the DJ. I met with at least four DJ's in the Bay Area, and the only one who truly stood out was DJ Joe Manifesto of Thump Sound. Joe was so easy to work with, and his talent and work ethic was impeccable. I loved his ideas, and he was always willing to listen to my input, as he understood important this day was to all of us. The entire night from start to finish was amazing. Joe directed everyone throughout the wedding, keeping everything well organized. The music was a perfect mix that accommodated everyone's tastes, and the dance floor was never empty as Joe never missed a beat! That is a true testament to a great DJ. Any events I'm in charge of, I will absolutely use Thump Sound, as well as refer them to all my friends. Thank you again Joe for helping make Todd and Eric's day so special, one we will never forget! #LOVEWINS read more

DJ Joe provided the music and emceeing at my wedding in August in Galt. From the day we booked him to even a few weeks after the wedding, Joe was responsive, professional, caring, and just perfect really. What really stands out was how helpful he was during the wedding - switching gears from what he was hired to do (have to add the music was great - diverse crowd to cater to and everyone was dancing and having a great time) to watching out for us and going the extra yard a couple of times. I am forever grateful for his contribution to making my wedding day absolutely magical. Great DJ/emcee! read more

We just had our wedding DJ'ed by Joe Manifesto and he is amazing. From the booking to the event, Joe was there every step of the way, helping with our itinerary, providing wedding sample templates, and overall just being there whenever we had any questions, concerns and last minute changes. On the day he helped to keep us on time and had no trouble balancing a variety of different musical tastes with seamless transitions. Knowing that we had a DJ like Joe in or corner helped to make the whole planning process and wedding day so much easier. DJ Joe Manifesto is THE BEST DJ ever! I was nervous hiring vendors for my wedding, but I didn't have anything to worry about with Joe. He is the perfect professional and super friendly. He is extremely experienced, and we saw evidence of that at our wedding. He was a great emcee and played the best music. He came early to setup and was ready with everything early. The music in the ceremony went off without a hitch and was great quality (and perfect loudness and the transitions were perfect). The transition from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception were perfect! And he played the exact kind of music we wanted. We had certain songs that were a "must" to play at the wedding, and he played all of them. A lot more people danced than I thought would which I was very happy about. He played the crowd perfectly and everyone loved the music (from the oldest person there to the youngest). He checked in with us during the planning process to make sure we had our playlists done on time and to make sure we stayed on track. He was very helpful when I couldn't figure out what songs to play for the ceremony. He gave me suggestions and sent me different versions of the songs when I didn't like the first versions. He went above and beyond to make me (the bride) happy about my song selections. Overall, he is a very personable, cool guy. He fit in perfectly at the wedding. I would hire him for ANY event that I needed a DJ for. I almost forgot--we hired him for the uplighting in the reception room too. He did the PERFECT color of uplighting for the room, which is saying a lot coming from me because I'm a perfectionist. I was really worried about the lighting because I wasn't able to see it in person before the reception started, but I told him what I was looking for and he matched my description perfectly! read more

He also followed up with me more than once to make sure everything was in order and to our liking. Very friendly and professional.
