We turned to Owl Vision after our prior DJ dropped out of our wedding and I am SO lucky that we did!! I loved the opportunity to work with David's incredible team. I've planned and managed several Marketing events, so I can vouch that the team at Owl Vision is bar none. From lighting to sound to general aesthetic / atmosphere, Owl Vision made our backyard wedding come to life in ways I never imagined. The team did multiple site visits to ensure that we were set up properly with power and that they could provide exactly what we needed (and more) for both the aesthetic, but also for the coordinating team, bartenders, and catering team. Owl Vision worked with our vendors throughout the process, so we didn't even have to coordinate things like arrival times and timelines. The team worked with us so personally days before the event, setting up and customizing the lighting and sound to make sure it reflected our vision. We ran several test runs at dusk and in the evening with them. When our vineyard lights didn't dim, David (owner of Owl Vision) went out and personally picked up dimmers at the store days before our event. During our wedding, we had 4 tea, members running our event: a manager, an MC, a DJ, and a lighting designer. I cannot speak highly enough of this team, who worked in the background to run the reception perfectly. Their setup was not intrusive and they were working efficiently in the background with our coordinator to monitor the timeline. We, as a couple, are big into music and were very nervous about how the night would turn out for us and our family / friends. DJ Tav Tal played exactly what we had hoped for and even accommodated all of our last-minute requests as the night evolved. The team stayed well beyond contract and even helped us turn our wedding into a silent disco. Owl Vision management stayed to make sure the silent disco was working (until well after midnight) and then arrived promptly at 10:00am the next morning to clean up. If you are looking to host an event, no matter what the occasion, do not sleep on Owl Vision. David and his team at Owl Vision literally did gods work for my wedding this past August. Working with their team made me feel like I had a second set of wedding coordinators that knew exactly what to do to make sure that we had a flawless reception and they were available at any given time to help and answer any questions I had. I sent David a few photos of my Pinterest inspirations and he invited me to their warehouse for a demo. We had leko light powered laser cut gobos with our logo on the building's facade, Picasso lights with intricate patterns on the walls, uplights, tubes lining the stage and low laying fog for our first dance. After realizing that the venue does not have enough power (something that nobody told us) for all of this plus the kitchen and our band, David was awesome enough to even a source a generator for us THREE days prior to the event. OMG OMG OMG! HOLY SH*T!! Can I just say if you TRULY AND 100% absolutely REALLY WANT to make your event EPIC... then TRUST ME when I say you NEED to bring Owl Vision on board! THEY LITERALLY MADE MY WEDDING one to remember!! I had reached out to David in early 2020 prior to the pandemic and he was super easy to work with in my efforts to have a confetti cannon for my wedding. He was extremely thorough and detail oriented when it came to sharing all the different options that were available to me, including - delivery set up - technicians - and the multiple varieties of confetti. I had my heart set particularly on biodegradable confetti and he made that happen as well no problem since our venue was at an outside vineyard. Then, unfortunately the covid pandemic hit and my wedding was postponed for god knows how many months... fast forward to 2021 after multiple postponements, my wedding finally got the green light to GO in June. I had reached back out to David and not only did he remember me but he was empathetic enough to acknowledge how frustrating it was to deal with a postponed wedding. His customer service skills are top notch and exceeded my expectations. He graciously honored the original quote and pricing that we had discussed the year prior and everything was super easy to organize with him because of his speedy responsiveness and clear communication. A few days prior to the wedding, I connected him with my wedding coordinator so they could review timeline and set up and break down etc. - everything went off so perfectly I couldn't have imagined a better confetti cannon for our first dance!! Not only was our wedding EPIC and perfect but the monumental confetti canon moment was truly what set the tone for a great party. There was so much confetti from just one fire that it covered the dance floor and all my guests continued to pick it up and throw it in the air throughout the night so even after our main confetti cannon moment the HYPE and VIBE and IMPACT of our confetti lived strong throughout the night! I cannot brag about David and Owl Vision enough. They are a major reason as to why my 2020 wedding was as magical as it was! I found Owl Vision on Yelp on March 2020, the start of the pandemic. I was planning what I thought would be a 300 person wedding for December 2020. David was so kind and easy to work with. We knew that the year was going to be uncertain and yet he was flexible and more than willing to work with our budget. As regulations changed almost daily, David made me feel comfortable and confident that he would make our event beautiful and lit up no matter where it would be. We originally had planned 50 uplights for the grand ballroom at the Grand Hyatt at SFO. There were no other vendors who could compete with his lighting package for us. The month before the wedding, we had moved the event to a large outdoor venue in San Francisco to adhere to CoVid regulations. David was more than willing to meet us at the venue, collaborate with us on our vision, and once again made us excited for how beautiful the night would be. He was going to light up the trees, the walk ways, light up other fixtures and provide us with a projector and even a snow machine! I knew that it was going to feel like Disneyland! (and I LOVE Disneyland!). The week of the wedding, San Francisco was put on complete lockdown, all outdoor dining and venues were closed. My husband and I made the decision to have our reception in our backyard with our parents, and have the rest of our family on Zoom. Within days, David created a rendering of our backyard, adjusted the lighting package, and I knew I could completely trust him. Rain or shine, David was going to make it happen. The night of the wedding, my husband and I walked into the most breathtaking winter wonderland! There were uplights everywhere! He placed a gobo design with our logo on the house and on the floor. He was able to use intelligent lighting to have the lights follow us from the dinner table, to the cake table, to the dance floor. Their large projector was perfect for making it feel like our family and friends on zoom were actually there with us. I barely noticed that David and his coworker were there. They were off to the side and kept their distanced away from our family with their masks. We didn't have to worry about set up or clean up. It felt extremely CoVid safe! Other than David and Owl Vision's amazing skill and talent, as a bride, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to love your vendors and the people you surround yourself with that day and the days leading up to it. How do you not have more 5 star reviews?? David literally made my wedding. He was probably one of the best vendors I had the absolute honor to have at my wedding. I had a very specific vision in mind-- I wanted the dance floor to be crazy, streamers, lights, the whole shabang. I researched vendors heavily and serving San Jose, there really is only two vendors that had all the bells and whistles I was looking for--Owl Vision and Verducci. I ended up going with David at Owl Vision because he had streamer and confetti cannons and was all about the attitude that the sky is the limit, which I loved. Owl Vision is also slightly better priced. We had an indoor/outdoor venue in San Jose and he was able to manage and figure out all the electrical requirements on his own and without any help from us. David is the consummate professional. Anytime of day or night, he would respond to emails and texts. Any crazy idea I had, he would be all for it. I didn't actually have to do much work with him, he knew right away what I was trying to do and showed up on the day and knocked it out of the park. He brought streamer cannons, CO2 jets, intelligent lighting, water orbs, wireless uplighting, a hazer, trusses, everything. He's a literal magician--he needed no hand holding, pretty much no direction, he took the stress out of my wedding day and my guests are STILL talking about the SFX we had. David and the Owl Vision crew did the lighting at my wedding and all we had to do was tell him we wanted it in the style of electronic music festivals. Some of the photos in the photo section are from my wedding. Communication with David was prompt and clear, and he did not need much guidance to make it happen. He was very clear about what we were getting, how much it costs, and was patient and flexible and guided us through the process of figuring out what features we wanted and how to make it fit into our budget. We were very thankful for this because it made the overall wedding planning process much less stressful. The crew arrived with plenty of time to set up and test. They were very professional and worked quickly and independently which was really nice to not have to worry about. We had spotlights, lasers, and fog, and everyone at the wedding was blown away. What a masterpiece! Absolutely mind-blowing and a stellar showstopper. I'm an event coordinator and we joined efforts together with Owl Vision on 11/7/15 at the Firehouse 8 in San Francisco for an event. David and his team were professional, friendly and posses quite a unique craft. From beginning to end, David was prompt with responses and swift to overcome any unexpectedness. The venue was a little tricky and had strict policies to adhere to but David was collected and sound throughout the whole process. Owl Vision is able to scale their team and equipment to match your needs. They've been extremely helpful in the planning process as well, giving insight and advice as to how make the most out of my budget while giving me the aesthetic I'm looking for. On site during the event, their team has been great every single event. They are kind and helpful- and always ready to help. For one of my multi-day events, a team member mentioned it would be nice to have a clicker for slides in passing. My husband and I love EDM and going to the concerts for the light shows. When we were planning our post wedding reception, we did not want the typical amateur lighting (i.e., reminds me of 8th grade dance) we often see at other weddings. David did our light staging for our event, which took place earlier this month at Firehouse 8 in SF. His work is quite impressive, definitely not the typical light show you would expect to see at a wedding reception, more resembling of a nightclub. Additionally, he was really easy to work with from the very beginning. He's very responsive, professional and willing to help however he could to make the event a success. We feel really lucky to have been introduced to David and would definitely use him again for future events.
