I work in Redwood Shores at the Sobrato Nonprofit Center and needed additional microphones for a convening I was hosting. I stumbled accros The Audio Guy by chance and hit the jack pot! Guy, the guy behind The Audio Guy, is reliable, helpful and knowledgeable. He came to the center to look at the sound system to ensure the microphones would connect well. It turned out I have a closed systemm and had to get an additional set of speakers along with the michrophones. I would have not learned that if he had not taken the time to understand my needs for the event. He was timely, reliable, solid setting it all up, training me on the basics and picking up the equipment on a timely manner. The microphones and the speakers worked well and all 115 people were able to engage. I had a great experience and could not recommended him more! Give him a call and he will figure out what you need and make it happen without a fuss. read more

After our regular vendor ghosted us for an annual fundraiser, I reached out to Guy based on his reviews. I was so impressed with his customer service before, during, and after the event. We had a detailed conversation prior to the event to determine our needs. The price was very reasonable. I picked up the equipment. I got a call the night before the event to make sure there weren't any concerns or questions. That was a very nice touch. The event went off without any technical issues. The equipment worked extremely well. Guy sent me a detailed receipt for reimbursement and actually mailed me a cable that I left in his equipment. Excellent service. I will definitely be using him again next year for our fundraiser. read more

I am a wedding planner and our clients were having a full weekend wedding with multiple events at a camp that did not have a sound system. Their sound needs were intricate, with equipment needed for all their various events. We were recommended Audio Guy, and so glad for it! Guy was knowledgeable and helped us curate multiple sound systems for our clients, at an affordable fee. On the ground, the team was professional and timely. Guy was always available for emailing and phone calls to ensure that we got this element of the weekend just right for our clients. Highly recommended, especially if you are putting together a DIY event. read more

Great time working with Guy and Mike at a large-scale dance event. Not an easy job to run sound for but these guys were prepared in advance and easy to work with. No persnickety sound guys here! Highly recommended. -RC, bandleader read more

Guy was very professional, prompt, and his prices are very reasonable. We had a party of 130 or so guests with a VIP type of guest list and a high profile speaker we were preparing for. Our own sound system was not up to the task and last minute, Guy came out and set us up, giving us expert advice and options and doing the final setup and take down the next day. All for a very reasonable price. The event went very well with the ability for a question and answer session with one wireless mic being passed around and one wired mic for our 90 year old guest speaker. My family was very impressed with Guy's work and affordability and will definitely keep him on call for another occasion. read more

For our March 23, 2019 wedding, Guy took on the challenge of providing a sound system for our beach bluff wedding in Marina, Ca. Despite the windy conditions, our guests were able to hear our wedding, for which we are all grateful. He provided a lapel microphone for our pastor and a stand-alone microphone for our speakers, and all went well. Prior to the event, Guy visited the venue to get an idea of the layout, and he set up the sound system for out wonderful harpist, Adele Stinson, who provided a beautiful accompaniment to our luncheon celebration in the resort's Cannery Room. We send our heartfelt thanks to Guy. It's the behind-the-scenes planning that often makes an event a success, as ours was. Highest marks to Guy! read more

Though it was his first time working with our complicated event, Guy and his team made every effort to meet our requirements and even advise us on how the audio setups could be improved while at the event and going forward. We needed sound for a Ball of over 1000 guests at the Hyatt, and dance music can be especially finicky. Some of the cues during one of the events were missed, but overall they did well. The prices he charges are very fair, and the crew is a pleasure to work with. read more

I rented sound equipment for my wedding, but had to cancel it (coronavirus); however, Guy was really helpful to work with! Guy is a professional at what he is doing and a nice person also! I needed a sound system at an event we had for our church and needed to rent out a school gym that had no sound sys. So I called Guy and he came out and was there on time and set up his sound sys which included 4 speakers, mics with stands, etc. We were able to play music off a computer and had no issue listening to the guest speaker. The sound was great and Guy and his helper did an awesome job always checking the sound came through perfectly. The price was so reasonable compared to the service I had to give him a tip! read more

Guy Bailey runs a top-notch business. I contacted Guy to provide a sound system for my outdoor wedding ceremony. As a musician, the sound setup was especially important to me. I had a good amount of musicians participating in the ceremony that needed amplification. I had 5 vocalists, keys, and a guzheng player. I also requested 3 lapel mics for the officiant, my husband, and myself. He provided all of it and for a reasonable price. He was an hour and a half early for setup and he took care of it all during the ceremony as well as breaking everything down so I had nothing to worry about. I'm definitely going to hit up Guy again if I should need his services in the future. He's your man when it comes to any sound needs. Call him already! ;-) read more

My company has hired The Audio Guy (yes his name is Guy) at least a dozen times over the last ten years for event audio and lighting. We hired him for a gathering this past weekend in the Bay Area and true to form, he was at the facility three hours before the event, leaving plenty of time to tech the room before guests started arriving. Guy consistently upgrades his systems and the P.A. system sounded great. Also, his lighting rig was compact and totally modern, easy to program. read more

With Guy it was easy to work out what equipment was needed and delivered it when it was needed and where. He even setup everything before I even arrived at the venue, taped down the loose speaker cables so they wouldn't be a problem and even went the extra extra mile to leave a wired mic in case there were any problems with any the wireless gear I had brought. Everything sound great! Will definitely rent from him again for our corporate event. read more

Guy Bailey was just the person I needed to help with my son's wedding reception. It was a small party that we had at our house and all I wanted to do was mike our piano wirelessly so the guests who were in the garden could hear the music. I didn't have much luck finding someone who would do that small a job until I talked to Guy. He was totally down to earth and affordable. He showed up on time, set up the equipment and showed me how to use it, and then came back when he said he would and picked everything up. He was really nice and patient with my questions and he made sure everything was just right. From reading other reviews I see that he does big jobs as well, but he made me feel very welcome and gave me just the service I needed. read more
