I would have not learned that if he had not taken the time to understand my needs for the event. He was timely, reliable, solid setting it all up, training me on the basics and picking up the equipment on a timely manner. Then day of, our officiant didn't have the best interaction with Young and his son (his son who was his assistant?). He approached our officiant claiming he had been looking all over for him and he was in the ceremony site the whole time. Then when it came to our ceremony, the music was sloppy. He didn't queue my (the brides) walk in correctly, I gave him the start time and it sounded like he started the music then jumped to the time. Way sloppy for a professional. Then, when it came to bridal party entrances, the music again was sloppy. Points weren't started where we asked, delay in music after announcing groups. We even had a few guests share they thought it was sloppy. Lastly, my bridesmaid had an extremely poor interaction. She requested a song saying it was my (the brides) favorite song and she shared Young was stand off ish and was like I'll see if I can with the vibe. WHO CARED ABOUT THE VIBE, ITS THE BRIDE AND GROOMS DAY! It took a second bridesmaid who had to CONVINCE him to play a song for the bride. This made me so mad to hear! You're in the service industry, my bridesmaids weren't jerks about it but he seemed to fight their requests. Overall, he was ok. Not a personable person despite being in the wedding industry. From lighting to sound to general aesthetic / atmosphere, Owl Vision made our backyard wedding come to life in ways I never imagined. The team did multiple site visits to ensure that we were set up properly with power and that they could provide exactly what we needed (and more) for both the aesthetic, but also for the coordinating team, bartenders, and catering team. Owl Vision worked with our vendors throughout the process, so we didn't even have to coordinate things like arrival times and timelines. The team worked with us so personally days before the event, setting up and customizing the lighting and sound to make sure it reflected our vision. We ran several test runs at dusk and in the evening with them. When our vineyard lights didn't dim, David (owner of Owl Vision) went out and personally picked up dimmers at the store days before our event. During our wedding, we had 4 tea, members running our event: a manager, an MC, a DJ, and a lighting designer. Their setup was not intrusive and they were working efficiently in the background with our coordinator to monitor the timeline. We, as a couple, are big into music and were very nervous about how the night would turn out for us and our family / friends. DJ Tav Tal played exactly what we had hoped for and even accommodated all of our last-minute requests as the night evolved. The team stayed well beyond contract and even helped us turn our wedding into a silent disco. Owl Vision management stayed to make sure the silent disco was working (until well after midnight) and then arrived promptly at 10:00am the next morning to clean up.
