What can I say? I am so happy with our experience with Fantasy Sounds! We opted to use their DJ, Norm, several of their decorations and the dance floor, and their wedding planning service with August and Kevin. August and Kevin were incredibly helpful as full wedding planners and day-of coordinators; I don't think our wedding would have turned out as beautiful without them. Their communication was excellent, and they helped all of our dreams come true. They helped me plan and stay organized with vendors and scheduling. DJ Norm was great! He picked songs from my playlist and was a great MC during our wedding scavenger hunt game. My family and friends commented how they loved his music selections and his energy! The decor looked great and really made our special day look amazing. All of our other vendors were connections through Fantasy Sounds, and they were all very professional and high quality. Overall, I'd recommend Fantasy Sounds very highly. read more

We used Fantasy Sound Events Services for lighting for our wedding at The Club at Ruby Hill. FSE is a recommended vendor of The Club and they're very familiar with the venue, so I knew they'd be a great choice for what we were envisioning for lights. We went with 20 uplights and 4 GOBO pattern lights along the walls of our reception area. It turned out beautifully and really added to the ambiance of the evening. The team did setup and cleanup seamlessly. FSE was also quite responsive and communicative throughout the entire planning process. They provided an extensive gallery of photos specifically at our venue to showcase the different lighting and drapery options they had. When we were choosing our GOBO pattern, they also had a large gallery and were able to show us examples. I'd definitely recommend FSE for any event lighting you'd need. They're fantastic at what they do! read more

Fantasy Sounds was great to work with at the Palm Event Center! For our wedding, we went with them to provide the square chandelier and lighting in the venue. They are a preferred vendor so everything was very easy and straightforward. It's an added cost but having the chandelier is well worth it. The lighting and chandelier were a beautiful touch and would happily work with Fantasy Sounds again if given the chance! read more

We used FSE for the chandelier at Casa and it was a dream working with them. Communication was clear and simple. Our initial zoom session was really informative and they gave us several quotes for different types of decor we could have. I liked how patient they were and encouraged us ask for as many quotes we wanted so that we had options. We also attended their open house. I don't think it was super necessary for us because we were pretty sure in our choice but I could see how it would benefit others. Payment was easy, they reminded me when it was time for our final payment and we made it online. 10/10 recommend. read more

Our venue recommended Fantasy Sounds. They have everything: lighting, decor, flooring, DJ services, and more. We rented their chandelier, custom monogram, and white dance floor. The preparation process went smoothly. Their team responded very quickly and answered all of my questions. On the day of our wedding, everything looked beautiful and was perfectly set up. I highly recommend Fantasy Sounds for your special day or any event. Thank you again! read more

Fantasy sound was truly the easiest vendor to work with during the wedding planning process! Our venue was The Bridges Golf Club and Fantasy Sound is one of their preferred vendors. After seeing the chandelier setup at Palm Event during a tour and finding out they also have one for our venue, we knew we had to get it! We had placed quite a few different quotes (which they were more than willing to create and send over) as we wanted to get pricing on different items. We originally booked their 10' round crystal beaded chandelier, 12' x 30' white dance floor and a sweetheart backdrop drapery. After signing the contract and paying the deposit, we then decided to add on to our booking to get the entire window wall draped. They were able to easily add that on for us and an addendum was added to our contract & both parties signed it. Super easy process. We talked with a representative at Bridges' open house which happens in the beginning of the year, went to Fantasy Sound's open house to see their items in person, they sent over photos from our venue of items we were interested in (which definitely helped us to have a visual) and they also schedule a video chat to answer any questions. So the communication and availability to discuss options are very open and the team is very helpful. Definitely look into their services for your event read more

We hired FSE for lighting and decor for our March 2025 wedding at Palm Event Center. They were one of the easiest vendors to work with! From their open house to virtual design meetings and email correspondences, FSE made the process so easy for a busy couple juggling full time jobs and planning a wedding. When it came to the actual day, we were blown away by the set up and our guests couldn't stop raving on how beautiful the draping, twinkle lights and chandeliers were. It was absolutely worth the money spent! The set up was exactly what we envisioned and we couldn't have imagined our reception without it. We absolutely recommend FSE for lighting and decor! We hired Fantasy Sound for our wedding last month at Casa Real, and it went incredibly smoothly! We had 25 mirrorballs installed in the ceiling of the reception area, drapery behind the sweetheart table, and some spotlights. We also had Norm from FSE as our wedding DJ, who did an absolutely incredible job both with the music as well as MCing the event! After the wedding I got lots of messages from my friends about how great the music was. Norm played everything we requested and gauged the crowd's energy really well, and kept the party moving. We had to move the timeline around a bit on the day of, but none of the guests noticed because Norm, the venue, and my photographers/videographers communicated so seamlessly. He was also in charge of micing up my husband, the officiant, and our harp player during the ceremony, which I almost forgot about because it was already taken care of without me even paying attention. Also, my husband is a musician, and Norm took the time on his own to go through some of my husband's catalogue and pick out some of his songs to play during open dancing and it was so much fun! It was really heartwarming seeing my friends dancing to my husband's music on our special day. Everyone I've talked to at FSE is super professional and answered my emails promptly! Many times I changed my mind back and forth on stuff and Lindsay and Darcie accommodated me without any fuss, which is super important when you start getting stressed out and nervous during the planning. I've never actually been to a wedding as an adult before planning my own, and they were able to fill in a lot of things I didn't even consider, and everything went so smoothly. Your event will definitely be in good hands with them! read more

We had our wedding at Palm Event Center on July 19th, and had FSE work with our florist to help us create this absolutely stunning and gorgeous hanging floral chandelier!! It completely transformed the ballroom and made the reception space look so elegant and elevated. The ballroom definitely would've looked a little plain without it! While I never talked to or met any of the employees in person, we had a Zoom call to go over expectations and options, and I mainly communicated with them through e-mail. Their communication was great throughout the entire process. They were responsive and quick to reply and answer questions! Pricing was transparent and they had a great selection of chandeliers and other lighting/draping/services to choose from! read more

We worked with FSE at The Palm and rented the beautiful chandelier. When we toured Palm, the chandelier was already there, and it was honestly the decision maker of booking the venue! Fantasy Sound Event Services were so easy to work with and were a vital part in making our wedding vision come to life. They had tons of experience with our venue, Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery, and had many photos from past events for inspiration and reference. In our planning discussions, we were unsure how some of our drapery ideas would look, and Fantasy Sounds even helped make mock up photos so that we could have a better idea before finalizing our selections. Their beautiful chandelier styles struck our attention as soon as we saw them in photos and it definitely left a lasting impression on our guests as well. We ordered 9'x9' and 12'x12' square chandeliers, a custom monogram shown on the dance floor, and our drapery through them. 5 Stars - Beautiful Work & Seamless Experience! Fantasy Sound Events helped bring our wedding vision to life with their stunning ceiling decorations at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery. From the very beginning, they made the process incredibly easy for my fiancé and me. They were clear and upfront about pricing, super responsive, and clearly very familiar with our venue--which made everything feel seamless and stress-free. One of the things we really appreciated was how in tune they were with the space. The lighting they installed elevated the entire atmosphere and made the room feel magical. They also offer live sessions at their Livermore warehouse, which was a great way to see their inventory in person and ask questions directly. If I had one suggestion, it would be to make their full inventory available online. While they do provide pamphlets and in-person previews, having a searchable, visual catalog on their website would make it even easier for future couples to explore all their options and check availability. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend Fantasy Sound to anyone looking to enhance their wedding or event with beautiful, professional decor! read more

We worked with them for our recent wedding and they are fantastic! From communication, planning, to execution, the Fantasy Sound team took care of everything with professionalism and care. We had such a great experience with FSE. I love how they have different types of offerings under one place: DJ, Lighting, Decor, Photo Booth. This made the process easy and simple when searching for vendors. We went to an open house and were met with friendly and helpful staff. During the process, we were in contact with Darcie and Lindsay regularly as they were often checking in with us. Both were super kind and friendly. Through FSE we were also able to find the most wonderful DJ/MC in Norm. He made our wedding so much fun with his charisma and ability to make everyone laugh/feel comfortable. The team at Fantasy Sound was a dream to work with! I appreciate how flexible, friendly, and supportive everyone was from beginning to end. We first engaged with FSE very early on in our wedding planning process and even after a significant delay on our end, they were luckily still available on our date and ready to go back into collaboration mode with us! We changed our overall aesthetic almost entirely and the team was very patient in answering our questions, revising our quote a few different times, and noting specific requests, e.g., styles of draping our ceiling swag to achieve a certain look or working with us to bring the quote as low as possible. The full end result with drapery, ceiling swags, hanging greens, candle chandeliers, and a monogrammed spotlight dance floor was so much better than we could have ever hoped! They have a HUGE selection of decor rentals and options to bring to life any vibe/theme you can think of, classic, vintage, modern, art deco, romantic, etc. etc. They are pros and work with many venues in the area. As a preferred vendor for mine, the actual booking and day-of logistics were done directly through our venue. Once we finalized our designs and signed the contract, we didn't have to worry or think about anything from that point. Seeing everything come together on the day-of was so surreal and beautiful! I feel so lucky that we were able to include FSE in our budget, because their work made all the difference in making our big day feel literally magical. read more

Our wedding was as perfect as can be with the help of FSE! Our venue was at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton. They've worked with the venue a lot in the past, so we knew we were in great hands. They worked directly with the venue and I didn't have to worry about a thing, except for showing up and seeing how amazing everything looked. We LOOOOVED the ceiling blossom and chandelier look that we chose to place above the dance floor. We also opted to add in string lights alongside the chiffon blossom, and can I say that made it oh so much more magical. Absolutely in love. We also chose our DJ & MC through FSE. Norman (Norm) was our day-of DJ, and we couldn't have decided on a much better option! He made the day/night flow so smoothly. We worked together prior to the day on a list of songs we absolutely wanted, and just an idea of what we had liked in general. He did absolutely amazing!!! Need not say more. The guests were all super hyped and happy with the music choices. And last but not least, we also rented our photobooth through FSE. This was definitely a highlight for all the guests. I got so many photos back to look at, hilarious and loving. We're so glad that it was such a hit! There was so many props to play around with too! Thank you FSE for such a wonderful evening and making our day feel so special. read more

Fantasy Sound was on the preferred vendor list that our wedding venue, Casa Real provided. We liked that Fantasy Sound was familiar with the venue and have done several weddings there, so it was a no brainer for us to choose them for our wedding decor. We wanted something simple with drapery and lighting hanging from the ceiling and Fantasy Sound delivered exactly what we envisioned. Our reception was beautiful and elegant, not to mention it photographed so well! We were so happy with how it turned out! My wedding wouldn't have been the talk of the night if we didn't have Fantasy Sound in charge of our lights and decor. LIGHTS & DECOR When I fell in love with Casa Real, I also fell in love with the crystal beaded chandeliers over the center of the dance floor. I rented all 3 - 12x12, 9x9, and 6x6. I think you can get away with one of them, but I wanted to make sure it made my guests say "WOW LOOK AT THAT" and it did. Most of my guests thought it was included with the venue haha. I also rented the wood walls with the monogram letters MR & MRS behind the sweetheart table. It really put everything together on our special night. HOW IT WORKS We first made an appointment at their location and looked at pictures of items that we could rent for our wedding and then they sent a quote. From there they ask a few questions like start and end time of your big day. They'll do all the set up and take down. As soon as the wedding ends, they have an hour to take everything down so you have nothing to worry about. In regards to how you pay, they'll send you an invoice via square, so easy! COST Price to rent everything was reasonable, but obviously it's important to look at your budget and speak with your partner on what you're willing to pay for for your special day. POST WEDDING REVIEW: After visiting their showroom, my daughter had a better idea what she wanted for her wedding. They are extremely easy to work with, and respond quickly to emails and phone calls. She ended up adding some chiffon drapery to her order a few months before the wedding, and it was no problem. She ended up going with the square crystal chandelier, which is just gorgeous. It will make all your photographs look so elegant. She also got a photo booth, which was a real hit. Everyone loved it, from kids to grandmas. We hired Fantasy Sound for our wedding reception in August 2022 at the Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. Since they are a preferred vendor of Bridges, I felt a sense of ease that they knew the reception venue property well and didn't have to worry about much. Fantasy Sound was very professional and responsive during the time leading up to the wedding day. We mostly talked with Lindsay who was amazing. I know they have a show room that would have been awesome to get to visit but since we live out of state and did most wedding planning remotely, Fantasy Sound ensured we knew all the options and gave us a lot of insight to help us make a decision. We ended up doing the wood wall (3 panels, with our initials), a custom GOBO of our names, and the photo booth. We had the GOBO on the wall above the bar and the photo booth in the adjacent corner. Fantasy Sound Events did the lighting, DJing, and sound system for my wedding this past October. And they did an amazing job. They were a preferred vendor at my vendor at my venue and for good reason. The process of working with them was extremely straightforward. The entire planning process was easy and they've worked closely with the florist I chose so all my decor went up without much problem. Nick, our DJ, was also fantastic. He did an excellent job balancing multiple competing requests from my mom (who wanted ballroom dance music) and from myself (who wanted younger, more hip music). The result was a really lovely, upbeat environment where people of all ages could dance to a variety of songs. The only caveat is that if there's any one song that you like that's on Spotify for example but not released as an mp3, he won't be able to play it because his system is not set up that way. Overall very pleased with my experience with this team. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend! read more

We used Fantasy Sound for our wedding last week, which was rescheduled from summer of last year, for lights, sound and DJ services. Our DJ was Glenn, and he was great! the lightening they provided was also beautiful and they allowed our florist to hang some greenery from their lights. They were also so accommodating and helpful with the rescheduling process due to COVID. I feel lucky that they allowed us to reschedule without any additional hiccups, fees, or loss of payments. I see other reviews here rating them 1 star for refusal to refund deposits for cancelled weddings due to COVID, and my heart really goes out to both parties, but I don't feel it is a true reflection of Fantasy Sound and their services. I can only imagine how hard it has been for businesses to stay afloat during the pandemic, and I'm grateful that rescheduling was as easy as it was with them, because I've definitely heard much worse from other couples with other vendors who rescheduled. Overall, I'd choose them again if I had the chance, but maybe I'd book more lighting because it really was so beautiful day-of :) read more

Janet and Brandon, I'm with you. But we have to give Kevin some credit. He "sticks to his guns" during a Pandemic like this. We can't say anything about the service as we were not able to have our wedding. Wedding was set to take place in March 2020, we all know what happen. Called Kevin and his team to reschedule, no issue there; moved it to Nov2020. Here we are still not able to have our wedding. Like many, we are moving on with our lives hoping that we could work something out with Kevin and his team. Recover some of our deposit back; we've lost so much already (financially and emotionally). When we called to talk to Kevin seeking for some understanding and for them to be a little sympathetic; but all he had to say was, "we're sticking with our guns on this." He even had the audacity to tell me he took someone to court over their deposit, Like it's suppose to make me feel better. We weren't even asking for our whole deposit back from them. We were only asking Kevin for partial of the deposit to help us out. I told Kevin I would rebook for next year but I can't commit to anything because I serve in the military; I been assisting with supporting units deploy in support of COVID-19 and will be taking an assignment overseas next year. All he did was offer the deposit to be good for a year; even after I told him I'll probably be overseas next year. Brandon and Janet, your right, Kevin and his team is not about making your special day memorable. Its all about money. He will "stick to his guns" of keep your money without providing any service. I hope everyone is able to weather through this pandemic. Don't expect anything from Kevin and his team to help you out. read more

Our venue requires Fantasy Sound to do our lighting and that made me reluctant in trusting them to work diligently with us, I was reluctant because I was concerned there's no incentive for them to work in favor of what we want because our venue is guaranteeing them the business. WAS I WRONG! They were great from our first email, up until our walkthrough and even on our wedding day. Kevin was willing to work with our budget and he was able to get us extra chandeliers to fill up our reception hall while still remaining within our budget. Kevin was so patient with us through the walkthrough and worked with us as we told him where we wanted each chandelier. Also, I was hesitant on the gobo light, but he walked us through the venue and pointed out areas we could put it, and we're so glad we trusted his opinion. They mailed us our monogram a week after the wedding and it's a keepsake we love having. Lastly, we rented our photobooth through them and that was a hit! I know photobooths may seem a bit pricey, but DO IT! They send you the link a few days after and it's such a good laugh going through the photos and reliving the event while you wait for your pics from the photographer. Their staff at the booth was great, so patient with everyone and giving them ideas on poses. Again, this was a huge hit! Overall, it was a great experience working with them and we plan on using them and their photobooth for future events. Thank you Fantasy Sound and staff for being so great to work with! read more
