We went to Trend to rent some chairs and tables for a 50+ party this past weekend. We walked in the store and were greeted so warmly and professionally by Araceli, who was the salesperson. She was very patient with us, showing us all of our options. We finalized our order over the next few days and called to confirm it. We picked up our items on Friday and their staff had everything ready. They also loaded it into our truck, which was nice. We returned it all after the weekend was over and again, their warehouse staff unloaded our truck for us. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to because of how well we were treated and the professionalism each of their staff showed us. This review is long overdue. I've used Pleasanton Rentals for 2 weddings and recently a backyard bbq. With the weddings, there's a wedding coordinator that handles most of the details, so I kinda took Pleasanton Rentals for granted. But recently we hosted a large backyard bbq and I needed a few more tables. I checked the Pleasanton Rentals website (which is awesome btw) and found the tables I needed for $9. I thought, huh? Is that per hour? To my surprise, it's for the entire weekend! Then I thought, let's dress it up with some linens, and I found the most beautiful lilac ones. These few little things really elevated my backyard bbq. The linens are thick and has a good weight that withstands some wind. Beside having great event rentals, their staff is really awesome. They respond to email so quickly, they're not pushy at all, and everyone I've met with have been super friendly and polite. Pick up from their warehouse (located behind their store) is really easy too. You pick up on a Friday, and return on Monday. Pleasanton Rentals isn't just for elegant events. Even picking up a few pieces for a backyard bbq will elevate your event from simple to fantastic for about the same price I would pay at a party store for cheap plastic tablecloths. read more

Pretty disappointed with my recent experience with Pleasanton Rentals. When we spoke with an employee online, they assisted us with what benches we should order to go along with the tables. We were told the benches we ordered would fit the tables, which can fit 10 people. When the benches arrived, they clearly could only seat about 4 people (so 8 at a table), and were comically smaller than the tables. We called back asking if there was a miscommunication or if the wrong benches had been sent, but that was not the case. No one told us that the benches were significantly smaller than the tables. This caused a significant amount of stress the day before a huge event, and the employee we spoke with on the phone was very rude and unhelpful. Pleasanton rentals was on the preferred vendor list for my venue. They were decent in responding to emails leading up to my event. However, on the day prior to my wedding (a WEDNESDAY), I received a call from one of the staff members asking if I was still planning on picking up my order, and if so, it had to be before 3pm. It should be noted that I never received a call/email prior to this regarding their window of hours. Their website notes: "Our friendly staff will assist you to load/unload your vehicle with your rental items. This service is available M-F 9:00-5:00 and Saturday 9:00 - 3:00pm." I also had trouble finding the location / warehouse portion of the building and whoever I spoke to via phone was not helpful at all with directions and seemed annoyed. I rushed to Pleasanton Rentals, flustered / irritated at the bomb dropped on me, because no one could pick up the order on the day of the wedding (bridal parties always start getting ready early). It caused a lot of unnecessary stress and confusion for myself and one of my bridesmaids. It could've been avoided, had they told me beforehand. At pickup just before 3pm, I see that one of the items on my order was severely rusted & dirty (this item was supposed to hold face masks for guests at our wedding). So disappointing...& when I asked if there was anything to switch it out - I was given a chipped ceramic dish. They didn't offer any discount or solution; everything was "as is". I asked them to make sure I wouldn't be charged for it upon returning; hopefully that's the case. I wouldn't recommend them; it's a shame their showroom & displays are so beautiful. They spend so much time helping you curate the absolute best decor for your event. Their showroom is gorgeous and they will spend so much time helping you decide what works perfectly. Recently I had an event where I did not order enough table cloths (my fault) and I did not realize until the morning of the event. I called them and they were so amazing. They told me to come by and when I got there they had recommendations ready for what would go with the table cloths I already had. They truly care about making your event absolutely perfect. As a bride, my interaction with Pleasanton Rentals was a bit limited so I may not be the best to overall speak to all the selection they have. However, this five star review is going to Carmela for her customer service and friendliness. I went to Pleasanton Rentals with my now husband and wedding planner to look at linens and different silverware/dinnerware. Carmela was very welcoming and upbeat! She was familiar with what Nella Terra (our venue) provided in their package so it was nice to have her fill us in on what would be an upgrade and what wouldn't be. When we asked her for different napkin options, Carmela got genuinely excited and said she loved folding napkins in different ways. She helped us decide on the napkin fold we liked and she even gave us an example menu to use to see how a menu would look with the napkin since I didn't have one. Later on when I was ordering menus at home, I realized that I didn't have the measurements of the example menu to reference. I was worried I'd order a menu that wouldn't fit in the napkin fold so we reached out to Carmela and she literally sent us a picture with multiple menu options and all their measurements and the measurements of our napkin fold. I think Carmela is in the right business (helping brides) since it's tough with all the planning but she goes above and beyond by not just answering your questions with one answer, but provides multiple options. I would highly recommend working with Carmela if you plan to rent from Pleasanton Rentals. The only last minute change that happened that may bother other brides but I personally didn't mind was that the style of coffee cups we ordered for the wedding was not available so we did have to last minute make a decision on what to change it to. I guess if you are really specific about your coffee cups this might be bothered by or want to know ahead of time. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before using them. If I could give them zero stars I would. Rented plates which were all chipped and discolored. My guest we're bringing them to me asking for a different plate. So embarrassing!!!! I had called and emailed about the condition of the plates the morning of the baby shower. ( No real response) I should have just used my own place settings. Then after the shower I get a bill for 5 dollars for a SPOON they claim I didn't return. I am positive I rinsed all items, counted them and returned them to their crates. I definitely would not recommend them! Beware!!!! items are in poor condition. And as for their sales manager/ marketing person she claims she never receives emails containing pictures of the damaged items! Terrible customer service!!!! I will never use them again! read more

Pleasanton Rentals is generally quite good as far as service and getting my rentals to me in a timely fashion, for a fair price. I've appreciated their selections, and the quality of the items that I've rented in the past. I usually rent when I'm hosting family events for up to 40 people, and because I have so much decor, dishwater and flatware, I really only need to rent additional tables, chairs and linens in colors that I don't have. I learned today, that they recently changed their delivery policy to a $300 minimum order. Apparently this change happened a few weeks ago to meet demand. I'd recommend using them for events where you know that you'll need $300 or more worth of equipment rentals. read more

My wife and I had a wonderful wedding this May and had a wonderful bunch of venders and a wonderful venue. Pleasanton rentals was the one lone company that was awful. We rented all the linens and a cabana (used as part of our Hindu ceremony ). The cabana was not secured to the stage and almost blew over injuring several people including the florist who was attaching the flowers. My self and my groomsmen had to hold this down so it would not injure or kill anyone in the front row( I will attach pics ). When we called the owner within an hour of the wedding she informed me she could not control wind . Sadly if I knew they were not a company that cared about safety of the people who would be around their equipment we wouldn't have used them. They did send out their team to attach the unit to the stage but they came unequipped without any ideas or devices and so used my truck straps to hold it together. My mom who is 70 spent the entire ceremony being hammered in the back by the unit leaving her body bruised because it was still not attached but held together enough not to seriously hurt anyone. We also rented all of our linen from them and found our choice was special order. We don't mind that if you don't stock it and we want it we should pay more. When the day came to see our choice they didn't iron any of the linen and just draped it over our tables as they didn't care . I will also gladly attach pics to show how terrible and sloppy this was . I would have hoped that the owner would of cared enough to follow up with us but never did so early July I went to the office. I met with the office manager who asked for the pics and said she would Talk to her owner and get back to me. Once again they did not. She also again mentioned wind and how we attached flowers to this unit , we have emails stating we would have flowers on it and they cleared it and had done it before and if you build a structure that will blow over you should have a professional responsibility not to rent it. If the safety of the people you rent to isn't a worry of yours why would ironing linen or even just saying you are sorry you did such a terrible job. We went above and beyond and spent a lot of money on our wedding and had the day of our lives but it literally could have all been ruined if it wasn't for the hard work and quick thinking of my groomsmen and myself. It is sad that this owner isn't able to acknowledge this . I wouldn't recommend renting anything from them , the blatant lack for care of safety and any follow up is terrible. I haven't ever even heard a solid excuse as to why you can't iron linens. This is a major part of the business and even that was horrendous .The next time could mean a completely ruined wedding and that would be a terrible thing. I'm sure though they would not care . I had high hopes for this company. I had booked them for our wedding reception and unfortunately we got sick and had to reschedule. There was pressure to give a new date right then and there which resulted in loosing a lot of our money. We finally recovered and were able to pick a new date. I tried reaching out to redo our event and there was new policies in place and no one wanted to work with us. I tried reaching out to the manager and never received a call back. I also never received email communication back which is poor customer service. All the company had to say was they couldn't honor our contract and try and work with us, but they didn't. I do not recommend this business. I hope in the future they can reach out to all of their clients even if they can't accommodate them. Very upsetting and disappointing. read more
