He guided us through the process, and recommended that we utilize DJ TN who works for Twin Spin Entertainment based on our taste in music and vibe we were aiming for. Although Young gave us the option to use the boss himself, we decided to go with his recommendation as we were fully confident with his team. We then had a few more consultations with DJ TN as he walked us through the timeline, music selection, and MC services. The website had a lot of forms to fill out which helped us stay organized for items such as music playlists, bridal party/family names, and special dances etc. DJ TN helped us navigate through our timeline and coordinated with our photographer, videographer, and day of coordinator to ensure everything was seamless and naturally transitioned throughout the event. He also gave us great suggestions on bridal entrance ideas, and how to open the dance floor without making it feel awkward. During the ceremony, he had us mic'd up and the amplified audio was perfect without having any issues. We got married at Casa Bella and due to the venue had limited options. We ended up booking Young to do our wedding due to his experience. He was great at responding to emails but when it came closer to the wedding, it wasn't as great of an experience. When it came to his final meeting, his portal didn't have exactly what we had going on and when we met with him he seemed to rush the call and respond with "yeah I know what you're talking about" and moved on when we tried to explain. It just felt like we were a box he needed to check off. Day of, when he arrived it almost seemed I was in his way. Like when I was doing photos and walking through the door, he was trying to get in, I didn't even get an excuse me or personable experience with him. Then day of, our officiant didn't have the best interaction with Young and his son (his son who was his assistant?). He approached our officiant claiming he had been looking all over for him and he was in the ceremony site the whole time. Then when it came to our ceremony, the music was sloppy. He didn't queue my (the brides) walk in correctly, I gave him the start time and it sounded like he started the music then jumped to the time. Way sloppy for a professional. Then, when it came to bridal party entrances, the music again was sloppy. Points weren't started where we asked, delay in music after announcing groups. We even had a few guests share they thought it was sloppy. Lastly, my bridesmaid had an extremely poor interaction. She requested a song saying it was my (the brides) favorite song and she shared Young was stand off ish and was like I'll see if I can with the vibe. WHO CARED ABOUT THE VIBE, ITS THE BRIDE AND GROOMS DAY! It took a second bridesmaid who had to CONVINCE him to play a song for the bride. This made me so mad to hear! You're in the service industry, my bridesmaids weren't jerks about it but he seemed to fight their requests. Overall, he was ok. Not a personable person despite being in the wedding industry. My husband is super into music and this was important. It sucks that the queues were delayed and we had guests that didn't have th best experience. We decided to book Twin Spin as our DJ and for a Photobooth DJ 4.5/5 We recently had our wedding and decided to hire Twin Spin Entertainment, which came recommended by our venue. While the owner, Young, was already booked, he introduced us to James, one of his experienced DJs. Our initial meeting with James went smoothly, and we felt confident moving forward with him and Twin Spin. The booking process was straightforward and easily managed through their website's client portal. The client portal also had very thorough questions such as laying out the specific songs for our ceremony, grand entrance, and first dance, etc. The client portal was also how we communicated which songs were on our do-not-play list, ceremony, dinner, and dancing. James arrived early to have everything set up and by the time our ceremony rolled around everything and everyone was ready to go. James did a great job both as an MC and DJ. While there were a couple of minor hiccups with timeline and announcements, he handled them well, keeping the flow of the event smooth. Twin Spin offered this option along with their DJ services, and we selected them knowing that it would streamline and alleviate working with multiple vendors. We found their pricing reasonable after comparing other photobooth vendors. On the day of our wedding, the photobooth attendant came early to setup. She wrapped up early and our start and end time was 6-10pm which was a bit early than the original 6:30-10:30pm time. Overall the attendant was cordial and assisted our guests during use. There were slight miscommunications regarding meal and setup time, but otherwise our expectations were met. We booked DJ Twin Spin, aka Young, to be our DJ & MC at our wedding reception in early October 2021 and it was a great hire! We were asking our venue and friends for recommendations because vendors for Fall 2021 were getting booked up super quickly. We had postponed our Fall 2020 celebration by a year but didn't start looking for DJ/MC vendors until Summer 2021. Young was recommended by a friend because he was on her shortlist of DJs for her own wedding a couple years ago. If you're ever unsure of who to book, ask around for recs! During our initial phone consultation, Young was very friendly and we got really good vibes from him. He also offered a lot of advice to make our reception run smoothly even though we didn't even book him yet, such as double-checking if our photographer had a second shooter to ensure that all aspects of our event were captured and giving some timeline suggestions for us. Young even sent over an invitation to watch him do some livestream DJing on his Twitch channel so we can get a sense of how he works. I thought this went above and beyond from vendors typically saying "look at my reviews" when you ask for references from past clients. Young didn't pressure us to book with him and let us have a soft hold on our date, and said he'd let us know if he got another inquiry for our date. Even though Young hasn't worked at our venue before, my husband and I felt good booking him. Later we found out that he's worked with our event coordinator before (we hired the coordinator after booking Young) so we were happy knowing that he's worked with at least one of our vendors before. He also offered a package deal with a photo booth vendor so we also booked that through him. Leading up to the event, Young connected us with the photo booth vendor to set up our custom background, layout, and captions. He also reviewed the timeline and floor plan we created with our coordinator. He double-checked our song lists to make sure he had the correct songs for the various events on our timeline. He even customized our first dance song to a shorter version so we wouldn't have to be up dancing for too long. On the day of the event Young and his staff showed up on time to set things up. Even though it was his first time at our venue (Los Altos History Museum), things seemed to be set up seamlessly and I didn't hear of any issues from our venue or coordinator. We only had to chat briefly at the beginning of our event with Young and our coordinator to figure out the final dance floor location (we thought we'd keep things outside for COVID safety but the outdoor decibel limit set by the City of Los Altos was pretty low for dancing, so we decided we were comfortable with having dancing indoors since all of our eligible guests were fully vaccinated. There weren't any major logistical challenges to overcome aside from where to put the speaker system). There was also a minor mix-up at the beginning with the order he introduced folks for speeches/toasts but that was corrected quickly with a funny joke so our guests couldn't really tell that something was off. He followed our timeline/notes pretty closely for the remainder of our event. Many of our guests said they loved Young's energy! He kept the crowds laughing and guided them to where they needed to be while sticking to our timeline (getting people to start sitting down at the beginning of dinner, getting people to gather for the cake cutting and watching our first dance, and moving people inside to the dance floor). Response Time: Same Day Response DJ Young Cho was such an amazing DJ and MC! Prior to wedding: He provided a website for us to fill in all of our information. This includes information on the day of schedule, what he needed to announce, a do not play list, and everything you could possibly think of. The music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception consists of a spotify play list that you create. The dancing music is a list of songs that you provide him (which he will mix live). All of the requirements are made clear on the website. He also reviewed the entire schedule and details of the wedding the week prior. He was also available the entire time prior to the wedding to answer all of my questions. It was so reassuring to get such a thorough and quick response. Day of: He came to the wedding venue a couple of hours to setup for the wedding. He also wore our wedding colors, which was so thoughtful! Ceremony: He set up the officiant and groom with mics for the ceremony (I was not mic'd up for the ceremony). I had a few concerns because I previously had a hard time hearing other brides at their weddings with this setup, but this definitely was not a problem with DJ Young! All 210 guests had no problem hearing the vows and were so impressed with the setup! Reception/Cocktail hour: DJ/MC Young did such an amazing job with informing the crowd of the next event during the entire night. Young was our DJ and MC last weekend for our wedding! We interviewed 4-5 DJs and Young was by far our top pick. He is super professional, friendly, and accommodating. He also recommended lighting and photobooth services that we used, which made it easier to work through one vendor rather than 3. We really noticed that Young took the extra care and effort to make sure our wedding was up to his high standards because he is a perfectionist, but in the best way possible! For instance, things don't go perfectly and there was an electrical issue that caused half of our string lights to not work. I have full confidence that Young did everything in his power to fix it, and when nothing could be done, he issued us a full refund for the lighting. He also is a quick thinker and used extra uplights from his truck to light the trees and some bushes when the sun set. He truly is a person who believes in standing behind his product and service. Young has been doing this a long time and definitely knows what he is doing. He has a DJ portal which made the planning very seamless and easy, where we can upload our spotify playlists. He was a great MC and made sure the guests knew what was happening next. I was especially impressed with his DJ skills and he was able to play some of our must play list even though we were running behind schedule due to pictures. I wish we had more time to dance because Young definitely made us all want to keep the party going! Almost all of our friends were out on the dance floor. We hired DJ Twin Spin to DJ on Twitter's float at the Pride Parade. He was recommended to me by a co-worker Shiraz (who also wrote a review here). DJ Twin Spin was AMAZING and all of us were extremely happy! He took care of everything. He came to the parade with a generator and speakers, and set everything up on the float. He also suggested adding smoke machines (which he totally did and it make an awesome ambiance). The parade took forever, and out 300 marchers had to wait around 2 hours before we started to march. Twin Spin kept the music going, entertaining everyone and I felt like we were at a dance party while in the parade holding area. People from all the other floats were joining us to be next to the music! So Young is the Shizz. I actually found Young through my brother. My brother got married at SF City hall in March of 2016. He rented out the entire rotunda. For those who don't know, that space is incredibly tricky to work with, not just as a result of the architecture and the strict limitations of this historic building, but for acoustic reasons as well! Young was so fun, and such an ease to work with, that I KNEW I needed him for my wedding. So fast forward 8 months, and I have to say, my experience with Young and his assistant was even better than I could have ever imagined. He's incredibly professional and organized He know's his stuff He asks you every question you'd need to have asked to make the event go smoothly He actually MIXES good music. He is a fantastic emcee. Not cheesy and a complete natural. And above all else, is a cool and fun guy who could probably do this in his sleep. He was worth every penny and then some. I had a budget for a DJ, but I can say without a doubt now, DONT SKIMP on the music. It really makes the whole night. I wish i had more siblings so we could keep hiring him! read more

Literally within minutes of meeting him, we knew he was hired. Young is the only DJ we even met to do our wedding. What I really appreciated was his response time to emails, which was consistently within the day (probably more like within 3 hrs). Since he has many years of experience, he even assisted us with our timeline to ensure the flow of the nights events went smoothly. Throughout the night he or his assistant kept us on schedule as best as possible, stayed aware of guests likes, and created a wonderful ambience. Outside of a very short list of songs we wanted played (more to give him an idea of our music style), we gave him full reign.... And he delivered! There were many compliments after the wedding in regards to him. We wanted our guests to have the time of their lives and the music component played a huge role.
