Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this company. They now go by Legend Makers, and through Ron I was connected with and booked DJ Andy Bentley. I contacted him in February regarding a DJ for my wedding on August 27th in Bodega bay. DJ Andy whom I put a deposit on back in February has proved extremely untrustworthy. All my emails often bounced to him, he provided inconsistent pricing with inconsistent policies, and it took him over 4 days to send me a sample of his work. Six days before the wedding, he claimed that he couldn't do my event unless I paid in full for his services, even though he'd previously agreed to be paid on site the day of. He then lashed out at me, claiming I was a scammer and refused to show up for my wedding unless I gave him all the money upfront. I believe he was attempting to scam me out of my money. He claimed he didn't know where the venue was, even though I sent him all the information upfront and even included him in a mass email to all the vendors for the event that had a full schedule break down. I was 6 days away from my wedding, and had no DJ. He made a bunch of promises about being a projector screen, so I spent 2 and a half days on a 1.5 hour photo slide show, and gave him the full breakdown of our first dance songs. I had a bad feeling about him, so the other week when I was trying to pay all the vendors, I sent the rest of the payment I owed him to the coordinator for her to make a cash envelope for him. I knew I couldn't trust him, and I so wish I had booked someone else. I will be leaving reviews wherever I can to prevent this kind of stress from happening to another bride. 6 days from the wedding... Unbelievable. We used SpotLight Occasions for our wedding in May. Matt and Ron came out to the site (our family home) to plan the set up a few months in advance and help us make an itinerary. Considering we didn't really know what we were doing they were both very helpful in giving us options as far as when we wanted speeches and first dances to happen based on other weddings they had worked. After the initial assessment of the property we did have some issues staying in contact with Matt and Ron a few times to plan the song list and to confirm things. I think they are very busy but sometimes it would take a few days or two emails to get a response. This initially made me nervous but they would always get back to us and were always helpful. Due to weather we had to move the wedding up 2 days prior. Matt already had another gig so he couldn't make it but he was able to find another amazing DJ that could! We were so thankful for his effort to really go out of his way to help us last minute. So although we did not use his DJ services, the DJ we did have followed our original plan and it worked out perfectly! Thank you so much Ron and Matt. read more

Having a good DJ was one of the top priorities for my wedding. I was recommended to Ron by my wedding coordinator and I was absolutely 110% satisfied with Ron's work. He's got a great talking voice, knows how to get the crowd dancing and also included all my little requests for the night. Not one thing went wrong that night and a lot of it has to do with how smooth Ron worked and coordinated with other vendors. We used Ron back in April for our wedding and we could not be happier! I called Ron to inquire about pricing/needs and he was so nice and easy to work with. I had never met him until the wedding night and from the moment we talked the first time, I knew we have made the best choice for DJ! I didn't have set songs we wanted played but handed over suggestions for cocktail hour, dancing, etc and he exceeded our expectations and really played music for everyone's style. Karoke junkies will love this companies song list. it's truly comprehensive. Besides that they also even list most of the songs companies who made them, ie. Soudchoice etc. That is a unique feature for sure. I attended one of their shows at AJ's Sports Pub & Grill in Concord. The sound system at the bar was pretty bad. However the great and friendly KJ Wendy helped make everything much better. She's also easy on the eyes and sings like an angel to boot! If you get this company in a venue with great sound system you will be one happy karaoke addict jonsin' for more. read more

We hired Ron as our DJ for our wedding in January. As my wife and I are both deaf, and a majority of our guests at the wedding were also deaf, finding the right DJ was a big deal to us. We needed someone that would be willing to CRANK UP THE BASS for us deafies! (They did, they placed one of the big speakers directly onto the dance floor!) We also wanted access to the music's lyrics. (They set up an several screens, one had Karaoke that synced perfectly with the actual song being played...the other showed the music video or just a photo of the artist). One of my friends remarked that she had never seen so many deaf people crowd a dance floor before like that!!!! Ron really knew how to draw in a crowd and keep them hopping on their feet the whole night through! Ron was extremely personable, friendly, and easy to work with. The worksheet for the wedding music helped me a lot, I could select virtually any song I could think of, and he delivered! We had such a marvelous time. Ron also brought some very cool lighting and set it up as well. The purple lights that he used fit our wedding theme wonderfully. Because of the special set up, and getting the karaoke lyrics synced with the music perfectly was a bit of a daunting task, Ron hired an extra person to help out and only for $100 extra! We were extremely pleased with him being to reasonable about our budget. The extra guy was a lot of fun too, and very cool. He did his job professionally, and with a smile on his face. The music, videos, and karaoke lyrics were truly one of the big hits of the evening. He did such an amazing job of making our wedding night completely blissful, fun, and unforgettable. I've been enamored with Karaoke since High School. When I started to work as Security in a couple of bars that had karaoke, I was amazed with how much fun it looked like. I truly did not know anyone could have that much fun dong something that wasn't illegal!! Sadly, it took me another decade to run into Mr. Israel, Which I finally did in 2014, down at the Captain's Chest. He was running the Karaoke show there on Friday nights. I was so impressed with his ability, song selection (it is MASSIVE), and his professionalism, on top of having this much fun "working", that I had to get into karaoke myself. I've been working for Ron Israel for two years. He runs an awesome show, be it a wedding, an all-nighter senior night for a high school, or a karaoke show at a bar. He did a good job except for forgetting we had a song that included 2 relatives and he left one out. The songs he played were what the guests wanted to hear and they had a great time dancing. I thought the music he chose during the luncheon was perfect and what we asked for. All the music we selected was played. His announcements were done well. The sound system was good. read more

We used Ron Israel for our wedding last weekend (September 2017) and he is EXCELLENT!! All of our interactions from the first phone call, to questions in between, and on our wedding day he was so nice and informative. He definitely knows what he is doing and you can tell it.
