They brought sustained energy, joy, and they kept the kids dancing and engaged throughout. The lighting setup exceeded expectations and included a few elements we hadn't anticipated, which added to the overall atmosphere. The LED screen behind the stage was also a great addition. In the lead-up, communication was clear and structured. Dan from the office and Kieu made sure we understood what they needed, and the process included multiple emails and a productive Zoom call. This is not a low-cost option, but it's also not just a DJ service. They effectively drive the event. Several of the kids told us it was the best bat mitzvah they'd been to, which is probably the most relevant feedback. We knew about Denon & Doyle from our wedding in 2008, so we are repeat customers, hiring them for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. "DJ Dan" was so easy to work with down to every last detail. He was a great account manager, very proactive and good at following up. They have their formula down pat. MC Sabrina (firecracker!) with a DJ and party motivator had these kids engaged playing games and dancing the whole time. Dan and his team from Denon & Doyle went above and beyond to provide a magical night for my son's bar mitzvah party. Dan and his MC, Krystle, met with us on Zoom twice to plan the schedule, songs (including "do not play songs" which is also an important list), games, and somehow what kind of mood or vibe we were wanting. We really did not know what we wanted and they helped by asking the right questions and figuring out how that transferred to the night they eventually provided. My son was pretty clear he would not be dancing, other than during the hora, but he was on the dance floor either dancing or playing games every minutes he was not eating. Krystle had him and his friends engaged and having fun the entire time. My 2-year-old nephew even performed an epic Cupid Shuffle along with the teens! Todd, the DJ, did a great job with the music and Kaya, the Photo Booth assistant, kept that running smoothly as well. The teens continue to text my son with thanks for an epic party, and many adults commented on the fun the kids were having. My husband and I were extremely busy in the months leading up to our wedding, so we were very stressed with all the wedding planning and figuring out details, etc. However, Denon & Doyle was the one vendor that we could rely on and knew that they would deliver. From the moment we talked to Sue, we knew we were in good hands. She was very professional and quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. After just talking to her for 5 minutes, you can tell that her and her team have had many years of experience handling weddings. Sue would point out things I didn't even consider, so she actually helped with the planning process of our wedding as well. We ended up using a lot of their services: lighting, DJ, LED dance floor, screen and projector, dry sparklers, and photobooth. The lighting in the room looked AMAZING and the LED dance floor was worth the cost! It could change colors and react to the beat of the music--it definitely added to the overall experience on the dance floor and everyone loved it! The LED floor also adds such a unique element to our photos and videos. We highly recommend getting the LED dance floor if your budget allows. We hired Denon & Doyle to provide DJ services and uplighting for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah this past weekend, and they were INCREDIBLE! Our team included Joel - MC, Camerin - DJ, and Duriel - Party Motivator, and they were extremely professional. Joel, who was very friendly and super high energy, did a great job of getting bodies moving on the dance floor. He was amazing with the kids - getting them excited for the games & contests, and he led the whole dance floor in choreography to a couple of songs which was really fun. Both adults and kids loved his energy and really had a blast. The Dj did a great job of spinning the right tunes to keep everyone dancing and Duriel was on top of handing out props to get people motivated. The light-up wands that he passed out were awesome - even the 80+ year olds were waving them around! The dance floor was not empty once throughout the evening. My daughter and her friends danced all night long until the very end of the party! My daughter said she wanted to do it again the following weekend! :) All of her friends are still talking about how much fun her party was. The uplighting around the room also looked fantastic. It was nice that they provided this as well so we didn't have to contract with yet another vendor. In my opinion, the DJ makes the party, and we believe we made the best choice hiring Denon & Doyle. Even my elderly father was dancing on the dance floor and that's a big deal! We hired Hipstr photo booth company and literally less than 24 hours before our event, at 4:45 on a Friday, they told us we'd been selected for an "Upgrade" that provided 'unlimited free prints mailed to your party guests 10 days after the event'... I was like... wha??? A photo booth is ALL ABOUT GETTING THE PHOTOS INSTANTLY. Anyway, we had to cancel that booth (still trying to get the money back) and scramble to find a replacement. Denon & Doyle to the rescue! They were AMAZING. One of the best parts of the whole party. Loved working with them - professional, charming, skilled, and also made sure to grab all family members and get them in the photo booth at one point or another during the night so we didn't forget to capture some instant memories along the way. Right after, Sue scheduled a call to get a good picture of how the vibe would be for my event. She asked great questions and she had ALOT of experience and wisdom to relay to a newbie wedding "planner" like myself (kidding! I still had no idea what I was doing).
