Sonny did our wedding in Vacaville. His preparation etc was all to be expected and done well. The true test came when Sonny started experiencing equipment issues after his equipment was damaged by an event not of his doing. I found The DJ Circle on craigslist and was initially a little unsure. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I used The DJ Circle for my wedding back in August. Currently, they have a special going where if you book within 24 hours of receiving a quote you get $100 off your total bill. We found that they were very affordable, especially when we compared their prices to other DJs in the local area. We had DJ Ed for our wedding and he was great. We had an initial meeting with Ed and he helped us create our wedding timeline. After finalized our wedding timeline, we emailed it directly to Ed and worked with him on the feel of the event and how music would play a significant role. We also included a list of songs that we wanted played and a list of "do not play" songs. He was very professional and had everyone up on their feet dancing. He kept the music appropriate and upbeat. ROB is the man. I had a coordinator who made sure that people were seated correctly, the flowers and decor were done, etc.. But after that Rob ran the show! Not once did I feel the slightest hint of pressure or any questions about what to do when or what. He had everything under control. Pros- *Professional and helpful- he mixed our first dance song, recommended great music for our ceremony and was sharply dressed at our ceremony- nice touch Rob! *a pleasant voice in making all announcements *Good sense of humor *Gets the crowd going *Worked with all of our different genres and song recommendations *Reasonably priced- He gave me a package deal with a photo booth which was quite a steal compared to other prices. *Custom photo booth logo- We had to come up with a logo and to be honest, the last thing we need is another To Do on the list. Rob was great about taking the lead and showing us what he came up with himself with little input. Ahhhh:) *Pictures came out great! The photo boot was really a crowd pleaser! The attendant stood by for help. Lots of great props. Cons- NONE! When you are a bride, finding the best vendors to fit your needs and budget is very hard. I hired Rob from DJ Circle for both his DJ Services, Uplights and Photo booth. Rob is on-time, professional, and great to work with. Not to mention he provides great value! I would highly recommend this company if you are not going to hire a full band for your wedding. The booth provides great quality photos, and he even incorporated our wedding logo in his photos. He gave us copies of all the photos and the videos at the end of the night! Our friends loved it! I only wish I hired them for one more hour! Rob himself did our ceremony equipment, and evening Dj'ing. Like all weddings, there's bound to be small issues that come up. I don't think any of it was Rob's fault... if anything it was poor coordination on my part. I wish there was a chance to do a sound check for the ceremony mics. Some of our guests had trouble hearing the performances. I wish he would've stayed just a tad longer, so we could use the mic to announce the pictures after the ceremony. And I wish we did a better job coordinating the music for our wedding entrance. We had a whole dance planned.. but the song didn't start at the right interval. A lot of this could have been prevented on my end, but I just didn't have a lot of time to coordinate the music that day :( But all in all our guests had a blast, and wanted to keep on dancing if the party didn't have to end. Awesome photobooth. I found them on Livingsocial and got a great deal. Rob was always super friendly and professional to talk to. He was so laid back and easy to talk to. I booked the photobooth about 8+ months before the wedding. I never had to remind him of anything. He was on top of all the emails. We had Joshua as our photobooth attendant. While planning our wedding, we found that the choices for DJs are numerous. We chose Rob through simple internet searches and Yelp reviews and we couldn't have been happier. For starters, Rob was very easy to work with. He's done many different kinds of events and my guess is he will be familiar with your venue (as he was with ours). He has a very professional manner and we felt comfortable knowing he had our best interests in his mind. DJ Circle has an extensive music request list that is simple to use, but in general we trusted his judgement on song selection on how the party and dance floor was moving. Dj Circle was a part of our April, 2013 wedding. We booked Rob last October. When the big day came closer, I was concerned that Rob was just going to show up without seeing the venue or talking to us in person, and it was going to not be a good thing. I love Rob! He was very professional and a great DJ. We had a few delays with dinner not being ready on time and he rolled right through it. I don't think the guests even noticed. It is so important to have a good DJ. They really can make or break your reception. I was really nervous because my wedding was at a ranch with no electricity and we had to bring in generators to run everything. Rob came out to the site and checked it all out prior to the wedding to make sure it would all work. I had some very different song requests and he was able to accommodate me.
