Wedding day went great - the sound was excellent through the entire (outdoor) ceremony, Alex worked with our live musicians excellently through the ceremony, the levels and transitions were perfect at the cocktail hour, and the sound was wonderful for the dinner and dancing even though we got a bit behind schedule (classic). A great sound team is like a foundation of a house... if you don't ever notice it, it's doing a WONDERFUL job. Highly highly recommend! My wife and I were married in June 2023 and we went with AMS, after going to a friend's wedding where they also went with AMS. It turned out that we ended up getting the same DJ as our friends (Rod) and he was fantastic! Rod provided a lot of good feedback for us during the planning portion but always let us ultimately make the final calls on how the music would be on our day. We used AMS for our August 2022 wedding at Arista Winery in Healdsburg and I highly recommend them. We booked them back in 2019 so I've had a lot of conversations with Joe over the past 3 years on rescheduling and rescheduling. He has always been very patient and responsive with my questions. Our DJ Skip was amazing and a true professional. I really appreciated that he reached out to us about 2 weeks prior to our wedding to talk through all of our music and reconfirm our special songs. He reassured us that he gets to the venue super early and double checks everything to make sure it sounds just right (and it did). He knew the right moment to play our favorite songs and really read the crowd well. I had so many people tell me how much fun they had dancing and could they get our playlist (which of course was mainly DJ Skip). It really was a special day and I never ever had to worry about the music/sound/playlist details. I wish we could have kept dancing into the night. We used AMS for our June 2022 wedding at Vine Hill House, and couldn't be happier!! From my earliest discussions with Joe, he gave patient, straight answers to my many, many questions. The online planning tools and forms that are provided once we signed up were super easy and helpful, and made sure we accounted for everything.  Our DJ, Emil, was a superstar! He was generous with his time in advance of the wedding, helping us get all the details nailed down and offering helpful advice on some facets we hadn't even thought of.  On the wedding day, he did a great job with the sound for the ceremony and reception (good quality, appropriate volume level), his talking was silky-smooth, zero cheese, and totally confident and professional, and his choices for dance music were perfect!! I would have never guessed that my friends and family would dance that much, but he kept 'em on the dance floor right to the end!  Adding this for those who, like me, initially had a bit of sticker shock at the prices for wedding DJ's in Sonoma County, and had friends asking "why not save the $$, bring your own small PA, and just use Spotify playlists". The answer is "you get what you pay for" (in a good way). I'd first note that when I did "apples-to-apples" comparison shopping with other top-rated DJ's, AMS was in line with their pricing. AMS' package - which they coordinate with Vine Hill House - includes everything (mics, separate ceremony/dancing and dinner speakers...) and there were no add-on charges, upsell requests, or surprise charges. MOST importantly, they are experienced professionals who know the importance of the event, know they only have one chance to do it right, and they delivered perfectly...they are well worth every cent!!
