This was for our son's bar mitzvah, and she was great at getting to know him and what type of music and games would work for him and his friends. We were so happy with how the light-up floors looked at our wedding - the photos are unbelievable and all of our guests wanted to try it out for at least 1 song! (This is so hard to achieve when you have a lot of shy family members, but it happened!) Sue went above and beyond as a point of contact. She not only fulfilled all of the requirements our very strict venue had, but she helped us evaluate how to make our dance floor look the best. To ensure the light-up floor looked its best and covered up some problem areas at the venue, she ended up giving us an extremely generous wedding gift and extended our floor size at no extra cost. If you are on the fence with Denon & Doyle, jump to the side I ended up on. We considered and even messaged some cheaper vendors, but you truly get what you pay for. Where to even begin...We originally contracted with Denon and Doyle for our wedding that was supposed to happen back in 2020. Then came Covid and all the logistic headaches that came along with having to reschedule and make sure all our vendors were still available. Throughout the process, Sue was so great at helping us feel less stressed out about having to reschedule (multiple times!), and always proactively reached out to us to help us make sure we were on track and if we needed anything! She really did make the whole process for us super enjoyable and helped us to focus on details that we didn't think about at times through out the process! Leading up to the day, our DJ, Mark, reached out to us and ran through the entire day, making sure that everything that we had communicated to Sue lined up with what he had on his itinerary as well. Mark was very detailed and made sure to clarify anything that he wasn't sure of and on the day of, everything was perfect! We also went with the photobooth, and the operator, Pandora, was super friendly and helpful when our guests were taking pictures. The quality of the prints were great and the picture background came out better than expected as well! Sue made sure that any changes we wanted to make to the picture background was taken care of so that the backdrop would be in line with our wedding theme. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! We choose Denon and Doyle for my niece's Wedding and could not have been more please with their services. Denon and Doyle Entertainment was easy to communicate with from day one. Sue was extremely friendly and communication was great! There website offers an array of services and provides a great video that would get anyone ready to party. We used multiple services that included DJ, Lighting and Audio sound for ceremony and reception, custom monogram, and Live-streaming (which was great for out of town family and friends who could not make it during the pandemic). With all these things, the DJ and a Technician comes early to set up everything. For us, this gave us another layer of confidence in Denon and Doyle. We had a great experience with Denon and Doyle. Sue was so kind and helpful on the phone and did everything she could to make the process easy and not overwhelming. She was also flexible about what we had to commit to early and helped us to figure out what we needed and what would work best for our space as we figured things out. We're a COVID couple and had to reschedule from 2020 to 2021 and Denon and Doyle were kind and helpful in our rescheduling process. We were able to move our date without losing any money which was great. We worked with DJ Kevin and he was organized, timely, professional and did a great job shaping the mood. We picked out special songs for all of the moments and he flawlessly cut to the chorus of all of the songs to time them and put on a great show. He also adapted well when we wanted to extend our dinner longer and move speeches. He was reserved and in the background most of the time, but there to make announcements and pump up the crowd when needed. Exactly what we needed in a DJ! We didn't select a ton of music for the dancing and just gave some highlights and direction and DJ Kevin was spot on with the mood we were hoping to create, and transitioned well when my parents asked for some 80's funk mixed into our pop dance party. I can't believe I didn't write a review for these guys. They did a stellar job at my wedding and I was just here to send their Yelp link to a friend as a recommendation and realized my review wasn't complete. My husband and I are 2 immigrants who met in the US. Our families flew from all over to celebrate with us, and our wedding therefore had 3 influences: Indian, Burkinabè and American. It was a balancing act to make sure everyone had fun. The party was very important to my husband and I, as we really wanted people to be full of joy. We met with the team to share specific music we liked, and they assured us they would mix it in a way that made sense for everyone, with a mix of top 40 for our American guests to also have fun. We weren't disappointed- I can assure you everyone was on the dance floor until they kicked us out of the venue! Everything went smoothly, we had an amazing time, and the dance floor was packed all night! We had planned to pass out some flip flops in the middle of the evening for people to keep dancing; EVERY SINGLE PAIR was claimed!!! Parents, cousins, siblings and friends were having the time of their lives, and people still remind us of our wedding reception 4 years later. (Yes I'm pretty late with this review!) Denon and Doyle were fantastic from start to finish! First we coordinated with Sue, we had a very nice chat about what the event would generally need I think a few months before the event. Then we were given access to an online form, where we could fill out details, song requests etc. This was very helpful because it reminded us to think about things in advance that we otherwise might not have even considered. Then we had two more chats, one about 6 weeks before the wedding, and one just a couple weeks before to finalize everything. Sue was delightful to talk to, was very helpful! She sent a reminder when I forgot to get back to her on something, and checked in to get final answers on things that we were still "maybes" on. She didn't make assumptions about what we wanted, and went the extra mile for us to make sure we had considered everything! She gave very good advice and was totally on board for the music we selected. She clearly had a ton of industry knowledge, and general knowledge about music genres etc. We were planning to have the ceremony outside, and the reception inside, but with the forecast for the wedding day being 103 degrees, we decided to have the whole event indoors. Sue accommodated us without a problem and even gave us a refund for the extra sound system that would have needed to be set up outside. Day of, our DJ, Chad, was fantastic! He and his assistant (sorry assistant, I don't think I caught your name!) were wonderful, kind, attentive and great fun! When we first arrived Chad came and gave Sam the lapel mic for the ceremony, explained how everything would work and checked in. There was also a stand mic for people reading quotes. The one little hiccup was totally our fault! We didn't account for how much shorter the walk to the front would be indoors, since we originally planned for that part to be outdoors, and we walked WAY too fast. So Chad was only able to play about 1.8 seconds of that song, but the fact that he got it to be that long was a testament to how quickly he swapped to our song from the regular processional! So cheers to you, Chad! We bungled that and you recovered perfectly. The sound system was set up great, everyone could hear us, but it wasn't too loud. The mics all consistently worked, just no problems whatsoever. Chad was responsive to requests (we asked to turn the volume for the party a little, and he did no problem!) and was definitely adept at reading the crowd. Everyone had a GREAT time! Chad did a great job reading the room, and went above and beyond. I would absolutely choose Denon and Doyle for an event again, and I would certainly request Chad again as well! read more

Playing the wrong processional song was not a good start to our experience and that was just the beginning. We had 2 meetings, confirmed over email, and even sent them a spotify list and they still got the wrong song and then they got confrontational when we asked about it. Shop elsewhere for DJs. Instead of instrumental version of "here comes the sun," we got "who will stop the rain?" We will never get that moment back and it was extremely awkward. That song meant a lot to our relationship and they handled the follow up even worse. They even played the processional song before we were announced. When we asked about it, they gave us a long winded explantation about how they downloaded a mislabeled song. They were also rude, unapologetic, and essentially said 'see you in court' when we pressed for some money back. They gave us 5% off for screwing up a beautiful memory and I am not mentioning a whole host of other issues that went wring throughout the event. The DJ provided none of the details that were in either of our hour long meetings or any of our emails. What was the point of having these meetings and wasting our time? Simple requests that would have made the event flow so much better were never done. They wouldn't let us speak to the DJ before the event and it seemed like he knew nothing of our simple requests on timing, transitions, and overall playlists. My dad even tipped $10 to the DJ to play a song that was never played. There is a long list of things that went wrong and they did very little to make anything better... This is our third time using Denon and Doyle for a bar and bat mitzvah. They are simply the best. Mason was the lead dancer and motivator for the first events and he was fabulous. Sabrina was in charge of our recent bat mitzvah party and she was completely amazing. Sabrina made the event magical and guests keep on mentioning what a fabulous party it was. Sabrina knew when to engage the tweens with fun games, dances and competitions. It was a perfect mix of games and dancing. My daughter felt very comfortable with Sabrina and everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. Denon and Doyle also took care of our classic photo booth and slideshow. Dan, the head of the company, is wonderful and has kept meticulous notes over the years. He even remembered the father-daughter song our older daughter chose six years ago. I hired Denon and Doyle for my wedding in September. I absolutely loved working with them and they make the planning process super easy. You could save your work and always come back to it later. I had several calls with Sue and with our DJ leading up to the wedding and they never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them and I truly felt that they listened to my needs and concerns. I even added all of my lighting just a few days before the wedding and they accommodated my requests with no stress! We had been shopping around for DJs for our wedding for a couple of months, and Denon & Doyle was definitely on the higher end of the pricing spectrum. We went to one of their "DJ Showcases" and actually enjoyed it more than we thought we would. Initially, we were leaning away from them specifically because of the higher prices, but looking back now, I have no regrets. My fianceé - scratch that - my *wife* now - really liked D&D and figured a couple hundred dollars more was worth it. We requested Kevin as our DJ (met him at the DJ Showcase) and he did a fantastic job. I was kinda slacking on the DJ-planning stuff getting close to the wedding, but D&D was able to keep us on track by emailing us what they needed from us. They have their DJ worksheet available on their website, so I was able to play around with it online whenever I had time to update and change things. We met with Kevin a week or so before the wedding and went over our ideas/preferences/expectations and such, and got everything squared away. Fast forward to the wedding, and the wedding party decided they wanted to change their introduction into the reception - we had a quick huddle with Kevin and the wedding party outside of the reception room, and we were good to go. He adapted to the situation easily. Throughout the course of the wedding, I was happily surprised at most of the music selection; it seemed he remembered every detail from our planning meeting the week before, and he picked music that matched our style and what our guests were enjoying. The only downsides, I can't really blame Kevin, but 1) we had 4 people lined up to speak (bride's dad and three wedding party). It turned into 7. But apparently he couldn't say no to my parents and my wife's only brother. oh well. I really wasn't interested in having speech after speech after speech. but were I in Kevin's position, I would be afraid of denying the groom's father. other than that, the only thing was 2) We allowed Kevin to play requests; unfortunately, a couple of our guests requested sucky music. but we did get compliments about the music afterwards! read more

We didn't have time to meet with our D.J. Jeremy prior to our wedding, but he still did a fantastic job. He played all the correct songs during the entrance of bridal party, entrance of bride and groom, first dance, and father and daughter/mother and son dance. He also pronounced all the bridal party names correctly. So that's all we could really ask for! I don't recall if he played all the songs our guests requested for dancing, but we were having too much fun ourselves to pay attention to those details. After hearing horror wedding D.J. stories from our friends, things that I commend Jeremy for: * no vulgar language used for our group of conservative guests * no Justin Timberlake's Rock Your Body ("Cause I gotta have you naked by the end of this song") * no Nelly's Hot in Herre ("It's getting hot in here...so hot...So take off all your clothes...I am getting so hot, I wanna take my clothes off") * the fun, signature Denon & Doyle shoe game The entire process working with Denon & Doyle went pretty smooth. The only thing we initially hoped for was being able to select our own D.J. (we didn't want the one who looked stoned), but Denon & Doyle had to assign us one at their own discretion. I enjoy planning events and when I found out there was a Deejay open house I was all over that! I needed a DJ for our September 2013 wedding at Mira Vista Country Club. It was so cool, they had a sit down introduction on all their deejays, wine and treats for the guests, photo booths and up lighting services they provided..... It felt like a DJ meet and greet event. Between the top 2 deejays I had a connection with, I chose Ed! I felt they were very organized and filling out the questionnaire on line, ie. first dance song, cutting the cake, was helpful in the process. During our wedding, I felt they did an excellent job, was respectful and always asked if there was anything else that we needed, and had good work ethic with the other vendors, and we had no issues with the sound system. I have nothing but the highest praise for Denon & Doyle! We had an all-outdoor vineyard wedding in Napa in August, and they provided A/V & DJ services for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Everything went so smoothly and our DJ hit all our musical cues perfectly! The online planner is so useful for communicating our preferences to the DJ team and you can really get as general or specific as you want. Leading up to the event they do regular check ins to make sure that planning is on track and that everyone is on the same page. I had a pretty specific vision for the type of music I wanted playing during each part of the wedding, and even with the planner, I was still worried that I wouldn't be able to convey exactly what I wanted to the team, but somehow our DJ NAILED IT!!! The ceremony was perfect (everyone could actually hear the officiant/our vows!!), cocktail hour was all chill indie vibes, and the reception was a freaking BLAST!! As people who came of age in the 90s/00s, we were so happy with how our DJ was able to strike the perfect balance between amazing throwbacks and current hits that kept the dance floor poppin all night long! We used San Francisco Photo Booth and we were very pleased with their customer service for photo booth rentals! I first learned about the company through our wedding coordinator. As soon as I contacted them, I received a prompt reply from Natasha. She was super helpful with any questions or concerns I had as we tried to determine the arrival, set-up, and operation times for our photo booth. I liked how they offered a portable/pop-up photo booth, which was $595 for 2 hours and fairly reasonable compared to other price quotes I received. They also have a $395 pop-up cocktail hour photo booth, which is a budget-friendly alternative. Chris worked with us to customize the graphic for our photo strip (and he did an amazing job!). Erin was the attendant for the night and she was extremely friendly, accommodating, and thoughtful. Whenever she saw that my husband and I were taking photos, she asked if we needed extra copies. After the wedding, we received a USB stick with all of photos, in addition to the printed copies and an online gallery to view our pictures. When your guests can't stop asking you for your wedding playlist and are still dancing after the last song, you know you hired the right DJ. Our DJ Mark Haggerty was quite the awesome. From the jazzy cocktail hour music to Mark's MCing during the reception to the best dance music ever, we could not be more happy. Sweet touch - at the end of the night, Mark gave us a list of some key songs he played to help us remember our wedding. The photo booth we ordered through Denon & Doyle was a huge hit. The props they brought were key to making it fun and silly. All of the photos get saved in an online gallery available on Tuesday after the event. Oh and it's way more funny if you don't tell your guests this little detail beforehand. ;) They also give you a link to download all the photos directly to your computer. Our only gripe about the photo booth is that the layout of the photo strip is not very flexible, and the designer from Denon & Doyle was not very good or responsive. We ended up settling on the final layout because we just didn't want to work with the designer anymore. read more

Sue was the first person I had contact with, and she was so accommodating to all of my requests. She made sure that she addressed all of my questions. and made some really great suggestions. Shea was our DJ for the night, and he was fantastic. He's friendly and outgoing and everything he played was perfect. He was able to navigate the mood of the crowd and knew exactly what to play. We booked them to DJ our wedding this past June and I have nothing but positive things to say about Sue and the team. Due to COVID, we had to push the wedding back a full year. They were totally supportive and easy to work through while we landed a new date. Then, in the process of setting up our playlists, processional, recessional songs etc. they were really helpful in giving us options, nudging us when we needed to, and then adapting on the fly. We put together a spontaneous Horah, which our guests loved and the DJ did a great job of playing songs that appealed to the different groups on the dance floor throughout the night. read more

I think this email correspondence speaks for itself in terms of the poor customer experience they have provided for our corporate marketing offsite event. Customer: One thing to note is I have the new macbook pro which requires a different hdmi cable than the standard ones. Thanks! Denon & Doyle: I believe that is a USBC to hdmi adaptor, which we don't have. We use macs, but do not have the new one. You might wish to pick up the adaptor. Customer: glad we had this discussion then before I assumed that your company would have all adapters for their client needs. Denon & Doyle: If you are not feeling comfortable with your rental, please let me know. I will refund your payment. Customer: At this point we just need to proceed. As a customer though, its not a positive experience to have a vendor communicate to a client that I need to provide my own cable. Also, not a positive experience that had I not brought it up, we would have been out on a farm without the appropriate cable. Denon & Doyle: I did go ahead and void your payment.
