So when I was done, I called Aselson's Hardware in town. Which is a big thing, I usually never call places, I like to browse(usually I'm not in a hurray). But I had a migraine and didn't want to walk around looking for an item again. A young man answered the phone, super nice, I didn't know how to properly word my item, as I didn't have the name "support peg" yet. But the guy said "we have a wide array of pegs and shelving support, stop in and will help." Which is exactly what happened! Wish I had gotten the kids name. A young man with glasses helped me find the items, helped me narrow down what I needed/size/amount and other things I didn't think of. I'm super glad I didn't have to wait for an online order. I did have to pay a bit more than online/Amazon/Walmart. But I got better service, no doubt I'd have bout the same thing three times at Walmart because it was the wrong size if not for the great guy helping me! I've also had the best service at the paint bar, be it the conversation while they mix and help choosing. And they helped me make a decision on what kind I needed, since I didn't realize there's a difference between the paints. I just grabbed. Shop small Stoughton!

Biggest downfall is when it says they have five and they actually have zero.. I stopped early in the morning to exchange an item for my husband, and it was easy Peezy. Yet another big box store that doesn't have decent staff…read more This store is an hour and a half round trip for me, so getting the correct product is important. I bought a ceiling fan with down rod, neither item came with the extender kit for the wires to reach. I was on the phone with them THREE separate times and got as many answers if they had the correct kit in stock. No one could answer my question, why, if an extender kit is needed for a down rod, why wasn't I told? I called Hunter directly and they told me that this model doesn't allow for a down rod. When I came in to exchange it, the saleswoman said she'd never heard of them not allowing for a down rod. I asked why I wasn't sold the kit at time of purchase, no answer. I asked for the kit, it's a special order. HOW DO YOU SELL A PRODUCT WITHOUT EVERYTHING NECESSARY TO INSTALL IT? I have electricians working hourly to put this fan in and I am running wild goose chases to get them what they need and still, FOUR HOURS later, I am empty handed. Never again, I will not be back.

Rheem gas water heater keeps shutting its power vent off, no idea why. If it works I'll change my…read morereview but spent all day trying to make this thing work. Edit: we figured it out after we had tried troubleshooting the Rheem water heater most of the afternoon. I have to apologize to the Home Depot, it's more of the water heater itself and not that particular store, the older gentleman who helped us pick the 50 gallon water heater was very helpful and polite, and answered a lot of my questions. The problem was that the Power Vent on top was not PERFECTLY sealed. If you do not drill that thing in the right spot, it won't make a good seal and it will keep turning on and off, over and over again, which will cause the machine to error out and give you a weird code that doesn't make sense. So far the Rheem water heater 50 gallon with a power vent has been working well after several weeks of waiting to see if I would have any problems. It is a lot quieter than the Richmond brand 40 gallon water heater that I had which was manufactured I think back in 2008, (that is Menards brand iirc), and so far I am liking the Rheem. Its stickers are kind of all over the place, crooked and not out on as professional looking as Richmond's, but the parts are metal and seem a little higher quality. But yeah, if you get this power vent water heater, make sure every corner and seal is drilled on perfectly, or you'll spend most of the day trying to figure out why it won't turn on and stay on. So far, so good though. Have had hot water and didn't need to return the thing (which would've been a nightmare since getting it down the stairs empty was a real pain, the thing has nowhere good to grab onto it so if you need to haul this through a house, rent a Dolly, Linus tech tip there). I appreciate the management reaching out and trying to help us out with the web form. I was in a very frustrated state of mind considering we had been out of hot water for several days trying to get a new water heater, and then to have the Rheem not work after we spent half of the day buying and setting it up. I was ready to pull my hair out because all I wanted was a hot shower. And the last thing I wanted to do was have to fill out a web form and disconnect all the copper tubes and PVC pipes and hoses to send the thing back and get another. Luckily, it was just user error, and a bit of weird design, but it's been working great so far after several weeks of testing. I actually hang out in the storage area near the water heater (where my computer desk is), and it's substantially quieter than the Richmond's start up sound and power vent operation. That was the main thing I was looking for since a loud water heater can make it impossible to focus when you're doing something next to it.

The first omen was seeing a man with no mask on. There is a state requirement about masks.. If you are going to post signs about wearing a mask, enforce it! No one was at the paint department, so the woman at the check-out register announced on the P.A. for assistance at the paint department. After waiting 10 minutes, I left. And the store was not busy at all! I had planned to buy the items on my long list while the paint was being mixed. I doubt if I'll go back. This used to be one of my favorite stores. It seemed like there were always friendly, usually older, men ready to assist or answer any questions. It's changed. And not for the better.
