Dellish!
Sir C.

When I First started eating Indian food. I've always had to have meat in my diet, but when I came to this place, I humbly accept it. I don't always have to have meat in my diet when I eat here I enjoy every veggie dish! Great Customer Service! I am grateful for the outdoor dining option as well! Clean place to eat.

Deedee's Dhokla's are soft and delicious. They also offer lunch thali plates and the food is fresh and light. This is our go to place to order vegetarian food. Not a fan of their service and ambiance. This is more like a place to order and pick up food. Also available on DoorDash.

The restaurant is a vegetarian buffet style place offering some very well made, homestyle dishes that warm you up from the inside out. Nothing is too spicy btw, most things they serve are more mild in the spicy range but still have an option or two if you prefer no spiciness to your meals. When you get to the food line, you can ask one of the workers behind the counter about what the dishes are and they always have good recommendations. So if you're unfamiliar, just ask and they will politely guide you to some very delicious food. As you eat your food, they will also walk around and deliver freshly made roti to your table if you'd like. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming and it's very relaxing to eat there. There is also a patio area that is a little under utilized by the customers but we prefer sitting there and eating in the fresh air. This is a very humble little place with delicious food and a very clean establishment to eat in. When in doubt of where to eat for the night, we usually end up here Also, they allow dogs in the patio area if that is a restriction for you!

Weekend Thali - Rajasthani Dal baati, gatte ki subzi, aloo tikki, shrikhand, churma, matar paneer, pulao, aloo gobi, rati, hot roti, methi roti Food was good albeit the variety wasn't as expected. The price point is a lil high for the atmosphere and variety. Shrikhand was delish. Hot roti served on your table is unbeatable service.

Wow if I could give a place six stars I would!! The lunch buffet is awesome the food is fresh and deserve to go also from the same Buffet. It's vegetarian food but extremely good and not over salted. They will bring you fresh rotis fluffy and soft on the side, Just like mother made! Don't miss the desert: Shrikhand is a thick creamy and delicious Indian dessert made with strained yogurt, powdered sugar, cardamoms and sometimes saffron & nuts. The lady will bring fresh wrotethe State table every 10 to 15 minutes

Authentic delicious home like food, Loved the rotis, palak paneer, aloo gobi, raita and shirikhand!! Very nice service felt like in home.

Look at the rates for 2 buffet and extra charge for card payment!

Just okay food- exorbitantly expensive! They charge almost 18$ for veg only buffet- provide plastic plates, no service, you have to also throw away your plates! High end restaurant rates for a hole in the wall! Food is simple, nothing fancy. We had to ask many times to get rotis to our table. Also, to dine in buffet is the only option! We were also charged $1.55 extra since payment by card! Seriously!? Will avoid.. if you are looking to donate some money, please go here!

Tasty Indian vegetarian food with mild spices, feels like home cooked food. The packing can't get any better . Just love the attention to detail in making sure to give that Thali feeling !! Loved the butter rotis, they are so soft and are light ! My husband just adores this place ! I'd say the dine experience is better than the take out as you have unlimited Thali for the same price when dining in !! They change the cuisine every 2 weeks I believe so you get to try punjabi, marathi, gujarati cuisines ! Dhokla wasn't that great but overall a good experience

Let me start by saying, I was really hoping for this place to be amazing home cooked Gujarati food but I'm actually sad writing this review. Caveat that this was DoorDash and not in person experience. The two stars are for the highlights. - the dhokla and shrikhand but here's my assessment of the rest: Vegetable currys - part of dinner plate, both not memorable mix of stuff I don't even know what to call. Peas pulao - good, with cumin as expected Phulkas - these weren't Gujarati phulkas, that are light as a feather, they seemed more like Punjabi rotis Shrikhand - 10/10, right balance of sweet, elaichi, saffron really great. If I'm back it'll be for this Undhiyu - I'd call it average at best, while technically it was undhiyu with all the ingredients, there was a bunch of potato and the muthiyas were rock hard. Just not the star of Gujarati food you'd expect Moong dal - bland, seemed just boiled with salt. I have had amazing versions so I know it's not how this should taste Puri bhaji - puris were soft and nice, the potato peas curry with it was forgettable Dhokla - Khaman dhokla was a highlight - soft hot spongy great seasoning - textbook perfect Chaas - good, designed to be a palette cleaner with hint of mint, I liked that it was low on salt It was a nice touch to include aachar and onions with the food. The dinner meal was supposed to have the iconic Gujarati kadhi but it didn't - so I guess I'm not evaluating it Overall I think you'll find much better Gujarati food elsewhere in the Bay Area. Sad, it has the potential to be great.

Every time I eat here, I feel like it's home cooked meal prepared with love.

So delicious and wholesome. I love it here. Some of the dishes could be a little less oily/spicy, but I'd still go here and recommend it!

I don't remember much about the place so I got no positive or negative experiences I can compare to this visit. I have been to many similar buffets all over Northern California so my expectations are not too high here. My first attack was the sushi bar. Very good sushi selection for lunch. Comparable Tomi and World Gourmet Buffet in Fremont. No complaints. Made my way to the hot foods. Some familiar and some different items. First time seeing curry beef. The stir fry rice noodle they had was bland so I put the curry over it. It was good, I got a second helping. They had a pork ribs soup with either wintermelon or radish, couldn't tell what it was but it gave the soup some sweetness to it. If you're Asian you might have had it at home. It is light and soothing. Different than the usual hot and sour soup which they had but I skipped. Those were the two items I wanted to talk about in my review as no other Asian buffet had these. There are other typical items, aren't much different from other places so I'll keep this short. Must finish your meal with soft serve ice cream! It's comparable to McDonald's just doesn't have the strong vanilla flavor McDonald's has. I got a second cone for the road. I will come back one more time with my dad as he loves buffet like I do.

Usually you might remember the experience, an entree, but the name will elude you. Home Eat is a memorable name, and while it isn't a phrase that we might use often, it feels like a perfect encapsulation of the feeling of eating here, even if I've never eaten like this in my home or in any. Known for the chicken wings, yes, but try more. You may eat like a king or queen with just a few orders, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best Chinese cuisine I've ever sampled. The OG NorCal Mikiya location! Back when it opened, the wait time was tremendous. Nowadays it's a…read morebit more reasonable, and you can remotely put yourself on the Yelp waitlist! In NorCal, there's only this location and San Mateo. For marginal selection (things that don't matter, like one different dessert flavor or fruit) and space, I think there's a bit of an edge here in Santa Clara, but for ambience and location I prefer San Mateo. First of all, figure out whether you want to sign up for their $28/year paid membership or not. They've removed themselves from the Chubby Cattle group, so you need a separate membership. It pays for itself if you use your free birthday meal, and great for the discounted price for yourself and one other. Recently, they've had happy hour and weekday lunch pricing promotions ~$30/pp, which do not include the free seafood platter in their normal ~$50+/pp menu. Otherwise, the veggie and sides bar which include rice, minced wagyu, curry, sauces, beverages, and cold desserts are included. I miss the days when they had the mini tubs of ice cream, but I guess people took advantage of that, so it's now watery artificial machine soft serve. Fun fact, I like the milk tea here better than the milk tea at a majority of tea shops, though I wouldn't be surprised if it's made from powder. On the regular menu, you receive a seafood platter and one special appetizer per person. I don't find them necessary, but the wagyu nigiri and bone marrow tend to be consistently good and well received. There's silver (the most basic menu), gold, and diamond options for the regular menu, and the higher tiers mainly mean you get better/fattier cuts of wagyu, and extra sides. If meat tastes like meat to you, then you're good with the silver; if you want to treat yourself then I don't think gold or diamond is a bad option to experience once. They also offer some standard sides such as tempura and fried chicken, but I wouldn't waste too much stomach space on them since they're very basic. For broths, all the flavors have their own time and place. Sukiyaki is their most popular, and while I typically don't like sweet or soy-based flavors, theirs has a pretty good depth and does not overpower anything. Their house broth is good if you want the subtlest dashi broth, spicy miso has a good mild spice and thickness, and Japanese tomato has a vegetal sweetness in the beginning that develops flavors as your meal continues. Recently they've added a delicious tom yum to their broth options as well as sashimi for their sides.

The rest of the review, however is why this isn't a 5 stars today. From just the first set of Wagyu (which is usually the best), the texture was tough with gristle and I even had a small bone in one of the pieces. Tomi Sushi is a sushi spot I come back to over and over again. I've been here a number of times…read moreover the last few years. I love the no nonsense sushi that is served here. Every time I've been here the food has tasted fresh and satisfying. I came alone this day and ordered the sushi dinner. They give you such generous pieces of quality cut fish. You can really taste the care and effort put into each piece. I usually come in a group here. It's easy to hand the slip of paper around your group to check off which pieces of sushi you would like. Every time I've been, the food has arrived at inconsistent times. It's not a big deal to me, because to me the food is worth the wait. The only issue is that since it is such great sushi, is that it is often busy, and there isn't a lot of seating inside given the high demand. There isn't anywhere to sit while you wait outside, but I noticed they were providing free tea to those waiting for a table. This day in particular I didn't wait that long, but I've definitely waited a long time before. Overall, if you're looking for a no frills sushi spot that is consistently serving fresh fish that is artfully and skillfully made, then this is a great spot. Be prepared to be here for sometime, but know that it is worth the wait!

The Japanese restaurant is located in the nice Strawberry plaza off Moorpark Avenue and Saratoga Avenue in San Jose. Mitsuwa Market is located in the same plaza. Parking is accessible in the large parking lot out front. The restaurant has nice cultural modern decor. There are plenty of tables and booths for both large and small groups for dine in. There is a sushi bar to the right when you walk in. The atmosphere is bustling and welcoming. We ordered gyoza, chicken karaage, tako yaki, tempura appetizer, 2 sake nigiri, 2 unagi nigiri. Bbq eel roll, dragon roll, spicy salmon roll, sprite, and a glass of Chardonnay. Everything was delicious and authentic. Some of the standout dishes were the karaage, tempura, unagi nigiri, and the bbq ell roll. The karaage was nice and crispy. The tempura was tasty and went very well with the tempura sauce. The unagi was scrumptious with every bite. The bbq eel roll was appetizing and worth the price. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Tomi Sushi. The staff were nice and accommodating. We appreciated the vibe which was family friendly, authentic, and lively. The price point was more than fair. We hope to be back to try other dishes on the menu.
