I'm so happy I discovered this Indian street food truck. It's parked in the parking lot of a bike shop and there's some seating around the truck. It was busy and a little overwhelming trying to figure out what to order, especially since I'm not very familiar with many of the menu items. Be ready to look things up if you need to. This was my first time trying both bhel puri and tandoori cheese pasta. The bhel puri was almost like a sweeter nacho with crispy rice puffs and a bunch of other crunchy ingredients. There were so many flavors in it and it was amazing. The tandoori cheese pasta was also fantastic. It had a very creamy, almost soup-like sauce that tasted kind of like tomato sauce, although I'm not sure if there was actually tomato in it. I loved that there was so much sauce, and this had so many flavors too. Overall, the food was fantastic, the portions were fairly hefty, and everything came out quickly. So much flavor!! read more

We ate catering from here at a party. The food was excellent. They were so timely and friendly staff, making chaat for everyone at the party. They had pasta (For kids and adults) and amazing dahi bhalla, tikki chaat, pani puri and sev puri. They had chole bhature, gulab jamun on the catering menu which wee all amazing. I would love to go hang out at the actual food truck. read more

Absolutely delicious Indian food! The sandwiches were heavenly, and the tandoori was one of the best I've had--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The only disappointment was the kulcha matar; the kulcha didn't taste very authentic. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Definitely worth trying! read more

For the Delhi chaat lovers, this is the perfect spot! I've tried their aloo tikki chaat, dahi chaat and both were delicious I can't wait to go back. It's a family owned business and the owners, their service was very hospitable read more

I had a lackluster experience with the pav bhaji we ordered. Props to them though for serving the dish with 3 buns instead of two. And for serving the mirchi fritter instead of just regular fried chilli. Having said that, the bhaji left us craving for more, it lacked oomph and flavor. And no, I am not taking about dousing it in butter. The fritter lacked salt as well and was greasy. Our other item, Pani puri, was relatively decent. The puris had some bite and form to them instead of being airy little pieces. I hope to go back, order other items and hopefully update my review as my experience was definitely not as amazing as the rest. read more

Came here with a group of 12, we got a lot of diff things but I only tried the tandoori cheese pasta and the shahi paneer pasta, I really liked the tandoori cheese pasta. The rest of the group seemed to like the food and the dahi puri looked sooo good when they made it, gotta come back and try it next time. Parking lot was packed so we parked in the lot across. Also loved how they had complimentary chairs (had complimentary mango shake last time I came!). read more

We had Pani Puri which was good. It was quite spicy. You have to specify sweet sauce if you wish. Ragda and chole were just warm with patties and tikki respectively. Kulcha was not fresh made. Seemed to be from Costco. The matar of kulcha matar is ragda itself. We were there at 6:15pm and found one parking spot. Service was reasonably quick. The place became crowded by the time we finished at 7:15pm. The seating area was ok for a food truck. The lot is shared with Flying Idlis food truck. read more

Had my eye on the Indian food truck for a while, as with most of them! Tried a couple of times on Saturdays with my friends and failed because they were possibly at an event both days. One day after a nice workout post work, I was craving a paratha and paneer tikka in the cold. This place came to mind immediately. I called them up to order pickup, and they said they'll keep it ready exactly when I get there because it doesn't taste as amazing as it should after a while. They were referring to both dishes I ordered. On reaching they told me they'll start making the paneer tikka fresh after I reached, so he started grilling it in front of me (check photos!). I believe the Aloo Paratha was almost done. He again suggested it's both best eaten fresh and I was like okay, I'll eat them both in person. And he was right. The Aloo paratha was hot and I gulped it down so fast, had to try hard to wait till my paneer tikka came along. Not at all loaded with butter, I was glad to find that out post a workout. Similar with the paneer tikka, super well spiced (I asked for spicy but it was medium), grilled the perfect amount with onions and mint sauce! Paratha came with raita. Portions for both were pretty good. They had a nice setup next to the truck, an enclosed area with a few tables, and enough heat as well. Really nice folks/owners. Authentic Delhi food I believe and I'll be back very soon. read more

Chatori chaat is a food truck serving classic Indian street food with quick service. The dahi puri was solid. The pasta was a creamy cheesy masala filled blend of a curry and pasta. I was a fan of the flavors, but it ended up being too heavy for me to finish. There are a few tables outside, but many people were eating in their cars. A fun spot for a casual, flavorful bite! read more

Best all-vegetarian food truck in bay area! I have been here multiple times now and the taste is always impeccable. Their menu has chaats, parathas, sandwiches and pastas. The live pani puri is amazing if you are from north India.. you will love it!! The cheese pasta is my fav and I was in heaven when I had the first bite. Never found a good Indian cheesy pasta anywhere in the US before!! They also customize any dishes per your liking. I got a bombay kaccha sandwich one day per the owner's suggestion since they were out of club sandwich and it was delicious! Not to mention, this is my go to place for north Indian food and I hope they keep up the good work! read more

Writing review for my 6-7 visits. Soya chap and desi roadside pasta are good and flavorful. The service and management can definitely be better. Every single time they forget that we have ordered two items and we end up waiting extra time for another item. I won't be visiting this again due to their poor service. read more

Small menu but all the 4 dishes that we ordered were great. We got bhel puri, aloo puri chole, aloo paratha and the best of all, malai soya chaap. The bhel was also packed well with the sauces kept separate from the dry ingredients. Definitely going to order from here again! read more

This place is average, but has such glowing review given the lack of good options around. The paneer tikka hardly had any coating, not a lot of veggies. The aloo tikki simply was soaked in yogurt, no cholle added. The tikki was crispy. The dahi dev puri could have more salt and chaat masala.. the soy chaap was decent. The service was quick. They were out of all drinks. The seating area was as super smelly- rotting smell read more

We've really been wanting to try pani puri for a long time and this place had them. They were excellent. We also tried the dahi batata sev puri and the veg thaali and thought they were so good. If I lived in the area I'd be coming back all the time. read more

Location: San Tomas Expressway x El Camino Real (Off the Ramp - parking lot - along side San Tomas Expressway) Food: (1) Dahi Bhalla papdi chaat: the yogurt and chutneys were so fresh. The Bhalla were soft and moist. It's so fresh! (2) Tikki Chaat: Wow the aloo was so fresh. Not cold hard potatoes tikkis leaking oil! Absolutely fresh and light in the stomach. Service: Fast and sweet Ambience: they have a white tent to sit inside. read more

Truly a 5/5 experience at Chatori Chaat last night. We stopped by to take out some Bhel Puri & Malai Soya Chaap & both of these items were fantastic. What really stood out to me apart from the taste was the terrific packing. I was afraid the bhel puri will become soggy by the time we got home, so was telling my husband we should probably eat it in the car but look at how they packaged it. Each topping individually in a container so you can mix them when you are ready to eat and according to your spice/sweet levels. Truly amazing when establishments put thought into these things :) We got served complimentary Chai while waiting which was just perfect for the chilly weather. The malai soya chaap was DELICIOUS and reminded of the very first time I tried chaap in Delhi! Damn, food really evokes so many emotions :') Thank you Chatori chaat for a fantastic meal, we'll be back very soon! read more

Simply amazing food. Rivals the flavors I've paid three times the price for at highly rated restaurants. Order the sev puri, the aloo tikka chaat (get two), and really everything else on the menu. Outstanding place for chaat and nice North Indian bites. Have come here many times and the food is outstanding and they can tailor it to your spice levels. Each and everyone from The food truck is so kind and hospitable and ensure you feel welcome and at home. My favorites are the following: - Malai soya chaap: simply too good and drooling in a creamy gravy - Paneer paratha- ample portion size and tasty - kulcha with matar: another hit with taste out of the world - the kids love the desi pasta. Huge portion size Will definitely visit regularly. On top of it, they provide complimentary chai and the fusion DJ music.for ambience, there is plenty of parking and seating space outside read more

The chaat was fantastic, especially the Tikki Cholle. The chutneys on it were very well made and flavorful, and the potato was nicely fried and crispy. Very delicious and well made. However, I was very uncomfortable while trying to eat because all of the tables were very dirty. I asked two employees for help with cleaning one of their tables and one employee ignored me while the other employee said they would clean but failed to follow through. I waited a long time to see if they would clean their tables but they never did. Although the food is tasty, it should not be the only focus. Ambience and cleanliness around the truck for the comfort and safety of guests is also crucial. Being part of a food truck business doesn't remove this responsibility. read more

I came here in the evening and it was a bit quiet but very easy to find. I ordered the dahi balla chaat and aloo tikki. The aloo tikki was incredibly tasty and came out hot and crispy. The woman who runs the food truck was really friendly and the man was kind enough to ask if we wanted the outdoor heater to be turned up. Overall great service and tasty food! read more

Great live pani puri! Their food has a homemade flavor, especially the parathas. I enjoyed their service as well.

Tandoori Pasta, Tandoori Paneer Tikka, and Soya Chaap, Paneer Parantha, and everything else in the menu tastes incredible. They're my everyday go-to place for eating absolutely amazing yet healthy homemade food. Tandoori Pasta reminds you of NSP in Delhi. They were grilling Tandoori Paneer Tikka right in front of the food truck, and were using avocado spray while cooking. The paneer was so soft and really well-cooked. The Soya Chaap was creamy and delicious. Paneer Parantha, Aloo Pyaz Parantha are so filling and cooked with so much care with healthy ingredients and no oil. Special thanks to the owner : Uncle and Aunty both are really polite and humble, and treat you with so much kindness that it reminds of you of home. Great covered seating arrangement and ambience too. Highly recommend this food truck. read more

Went to Chatori Chaat food truck and the food was very tasty. I tried aloo parantha -- it was hot, and had very good stuffing. They gave lots of butter and pickles as well. Felt like I am eating at home. Also took aloo tikki chaat. It was very nice -- crispy tikki with dahi, chutney, and masala. People at the truck were also nice. Food came fast and fresh. I will go again and tell my friends also. Very good Indian food. Must try! read more

Not that you would know it, but this Chatori Chaat Food Truck is not only vegan, but the food is really awesome. Food: Second visit within a week just for soya chaap and roadside pasta, which is the testimony of the awesome food they have. This time also ordered tikki chole and it was tasty too. Got some paneer paratha and aloo paratha home. The lady owner is kind enough to suggest how to reheat with ghee. Service: One more USP is their service and enjoyed the little conversation we had with three kind owners of the food truck. Really nice people with gracious smile and polite talks, no wonder their food tastes so good. Ambiance: they have added a small tent with nice lights and a space heater which made our little hangout very cozy in the winter evening. There is ample parking and space. read more
