Nothing is too spicy btw, most things they serve are more mild in the spicy range but still have an option or two if you prefer no spiciness to your meals. When you get to the food line, you can ask one of the workers behind the counter about what the dishes are and they always have good recommendations. So if you're unfamiliar, just ask and they will politely guide you to some very delicious food. Let me start by saying, I was really hoping for this place to be amazing home cooked Gujarati food but I'm actually sad writing this review. Caveat that this was DoorDash and not in person experience. The two stars are for the highlights. - the dhokla and shrikhand but here's my assessment of the rest: Vegetable currys - part of dinner plate, both not memorable mix of stuff I don't even know what to call. Peas pulao - good, with cumin as expected Phulkas - these weren't Gujarati phulkas, that are light as a feather, they seemed more like Punjabi rotis Shrikhand - 10/10, right balance of sweet, elaichi, saffron really great. If I'm back it'll be for this Undhiyu - I'd call it average at best, while technically it was undhiyu with all the ingredients, there was a bunch of potato and the muthiyas were rock hard. Just not the star of Gujarati food you'd expect Moong dal - bland, seemed just boiled with salt. I have had amazing versions so I know it's not how this should taste Puri bhaji - puris were soft and nice, the potato peas curry with it was forgettable Dhokla - Khaman dhokla was a highlight - soft hot spongy great seasoning - textbook perfect Chaas - good, designed to be a palette cleaner with hint of mint, I liked that it was low on salt It was a nice touch to include aachar and onions with the food. The dinner meal was supposed to have the iconic Gujarati kadhi but it didn't - so I guess I'm not evaluating it Overall I think you'll find much better Gujarati food elsewhere in the Bay Area.
