Apollo fish 5/5
Chandrika B.

We tried this for the first time this weekend via ubereats delivery and it was super convenient to order. The menu had lots of veg and non veg options and some of the dishes looked really interesting so we decided to try it. In $51 (before tax and delivery) we got: - apollo fish 5/5 huge portion, aptly packaged, medium spicy and such a kick to it. I couldnt stop myself from over eating this. Loved it! The fish quality was good and it melted in our mouths. - peshawari chicken tikka 5/5 delectable and delicious juicy chicken pieces which are perfect appetizers. Comes with yummy green sauce chutney which was thick and huge quantity too. - chicken tikka masala 3.5/5 the gravy was delicious sohalf the battle was won here. i was hoping the chicken pieces will be similar to chicken tikka app but nope! These pieces were probably fried or baked differently and were much harder to chew. Lots of gravy so that was good. Decent medium spicy and clean ingredients. Will try dining in next time to try more items.

First time trying this Indian restaurant. We've been wondering about is since the restaurants before this were dissatisfied so we're ready to feel the same. We were surprised. Our foods: chole, butter chicken, and lamb dumplings biryani. The food is delicious and a spicy. We don't know that they have lunch buffet, so we'll be back for the buffet. The staff are accommodating. Te ambiance is very casual and clean. Plenty of parking space. If you haven't tried it, you should check it out! Let's support good local businesses!

Garlic Naan and butter chicken

I say about three and half stars. Food is decent I did enjoy their samosas and they are pretty big its like three for 7 or 8 bucks. Not too bad. Just to let you know they only have veggie samosas. (TBH when it comes to samosas veggie is always better anyways). I did wish the garlic Naan was more garlicy. It tasted like a normal Naan to me. The butter chicken was decent, but the chickens texture was interesting, didn't know how to exactly describe it. But overall not too bad of experience here. First time I've seen butter chicken being served in a cup like bowl so that's kind of unique.

We had goat Haleem to-go. It was a very tasty and rich dish, perfectly spiced. The ambiance is basic and service is kinda slow for to go.

Had a sneak peek of the kitchen and trust me, however tasty the food is, I would never want to dine again. Horrible kitchen.

Food we ordered: 1) Dilkush Dabeli: amazing I loved it 2) Pav Bhaji: good, Bhaji needs less butter and less purée-ing 3) paneer sandwich (I forgot the name): heavy. Lays chips: I'm not a big fan, Green chutney served along side was watery and not something I would eat. Service: the guys were fast, kind and sincere. Since I loved my dilkush dabeli I'll be coming back again (and that's why I gave it 5 stars)

A Solid Spot for Your Street Food Cravings :…read more This is a decent place that definitely lives up to its name, if you are craving Pav Bhaji, this is exactly where you want to be. The Food: I have to give the Pav Bhaji a solid 5 stars. They have all the options you could want to try out (like the Amul Pav Bhaji), and it hits the spot perfectly. The bhaji comes out generously topped with shredded cheese, accompanied by perfectly toasted, buttery pav, fresh diced onions, and a lime wedge. They also offer the "more" part of their namesake, which includes street food staples like Vada Pav, loaded Paneer and Veg Sandwiches (served with a great green chutney and a side of chips), and chaat. The Dahi Puri (listed as S.P.D.P.) looks great and comes beautifully topped with yogurt, sev, and fresh pomegranate seeds. You can also wash everything down with some authentic Amruttulya chai or a refreshing glass of chaas. The interior is casual, clean, and has plenty of seating, making it a great spot for a quick bite. However, true to its name, the menu doesn't stretch much further beyond these specific street food staples. If you are looking for an expansive, full-course menu, you won't find it here. Overall: 5 stars for the Pav Bhaji, but giving it a solid 4 stars overall for the rest of the items and the limited menu scope. Definitely worth a stop when that specific craving hits!

All flavors were on point and…read moreauthentic, and the dishes here are more of a Pakistani style(rather than Indian style) We got the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and goat dum biriyani. The biriyani had tender meat pieces and well flavored rice, and a bit of a kick which added another dimension to the variety of flavors. 5/5 for flavor, quantity and service. We got takeout so unsure about the dine in experience.

Local Pakistani artwork adorning the walls. Delicious grilled meat smells wafting around as well. ***FOOD: we got chicken 65, naan and samosa chaat sans yogurt. *chicken 65-3/5- this was almost beetroot red in color. In my naivety I hoped it was some natural food color using beetroot. But I later learnt from them that it was not. It left me appalled at the liberal use of such toxic artificial colors. Colors aside, the chicken itself was delicious. But I will make sure to ask them beforehand next time and order something that doesn't have colors. *naan-5/5- this was amazing. Hot from the tandoor. It wasn't charred at the bottom. It was light and large. It was clear that it was made by someone who knew their craft. I will come back here just for the naan. *samosa chaat-3/5- this made me sick, I had an upset tummy for a few days after. It was hot day so I m assuming they had problems with their chutney or maybe it was the samosa with the potato filling. Upset tummy aside, the chaat flavors were decent, not the best of the lot but decent nonetheless.

This restaurant has become one of our absolute go-to spots since moving here last year. The menu may be limited but honestly, that's what makes it special--everything feels thoughtfully made and full of authentic coastal Maharashtrian flavors. On our recent visit, we got the chance to meet the owner, Sheetal Shivalkar, and you can instantly feel her passion for preserving and serving authentic Malvani cuisine. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about the food and customer experience. It's always special when a restaurant feels like it's being run with heart, and Surmai definitely has that feeling. Some of our absolute favorite dishes here are: * Sol Kadhi * Prawns Kabab * Surmai Rava Fry * Surmai Thali * Special Thali * Triple Schezwan Fried Rice What keeps bringing us back is the consistency and authenticity. The food genuinely tastes like coastal Maharashtra--bold spices, fresh seafood, and comforting home-style flavors. If you want to experience authentic Malvani cuisine in the Bay Area, Surmai is a place we wholeheartedly recommend.

After months of being on my to go to list. I finally made it! :)…read more We ordered: rava pomfret which was to die for. It was so fresh and flavorful. 11/10 The fish thali -fish cutlet was a little too bland with little flavor. The chutney, curries and rest of the plate was good. 7/10 The tandoori prawns were lack luster. Masala was good but the quality of the prawns tasted a little muddy. 5/10 (sorry) Loved the ambience, the decor was tastefully done. Very clean restaurant and surprisingly great smelling for a fish restaurant. You can clearly see the pride the owners have in their place. The chef looked good in her white chef jacket and you could see she was happy to be there :) Was good to see a woman chef. Last but not least the staff was friendly and happy to help. Will be back to try some more dishes. Thank you.

Delhicacies - Paneer makhani!

We recently had Delhicacies prepare and deliver food for a small gathering at our place, and they…read moreexceeded our expectations in every way possible. First off, the delivery was a smooth process, dot on time and packaged with such precision. Ankush, who runs the show at Delhicacies came to do the honors and as well left detailed instruction on how to go about preparing one of the starter dishes that we had ordered (Bhalle Papdi chaat that is). The menu we chose included Bhalle Paapdi Chaat, Cocktail Samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta, accompanied by Roomali Roti and Lacchay Pyaaz as a side salad. The Bhalle Paapdi Chaat was an instant crowd-pleaser, with the perfect balance of crispy papdi, fresh bhalle, cool sweet yogurt, tangy tamarind along with green sauces, a secret masala powder and a garnish of beetroot , pomegranate and cilantro. All of these were packed separately and instructions were provided (step by step) to prepare the end result which tasted out of the world good. It was refreshing yet packed with flavors that kept everyone asking for seconds. The Cocktail Samosas were golden, crisp, and filled with a spiced potato mixture that made them an ideal finger food--perfectly bite-sized and not greasy at all. For the main course, the Paneer Tikka Masala (PTM) stole the show with its rich, velvety sauce that coated the tender paneer in just the right amount of spice. The flavors were balanced yet bold, making it a standout dish. The earthy flavor in the paneer made it finger licking good and definitely was the biggest hit of the evening. The Chana Masala had the perfect texture--soft chickpeas simmered in a well-spiced gravy that had just the right amount of heat and tang. Cubes of paneer in there definitely made it a good overall combination and complemented with the PTM. The smoky and flavorful Baingan Bharta added an earthy depth to the meal as well. The eggplant was roasted beautifully, bringing out its natural flavors, which paired wonderfully with the Romali Roti. The roti was soft, thin, and warm, making it the ideal vehicle to soak up the gravies. We did end up heating the rotis in our microwave oven for about 10-15 seconds in batches and they remained perfect in their texture and taste. The Lacchay Pyaaz--freshly sliced onions with a sprinkle of masala--added a crunchy, refreshing bite to balance the richness of the other dishes. Overall, Delhicacies delivered an out of the world authentic North Indian culinary experience with each dish tasting as though it was prepared with care and precision. The food was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and served fresh. Our guests were impressed, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of food and service of delivery. If you're looking for reliable and delicious Indian catering, Delhicacies should be at the top of your list! Give them a chance and thank me later. You are welcome!!!
