    I recently purchased a VPI Classic 3 Signature Turntable from a friend in CA recently. I'm fairly schooled in TT set up but this table proved to be more challenging. Having done business with Dan at Dedicated Audio in years past and knowing his impeccable reputation for excellent products and service I gave him a call and discussed my issues. We agreed it would be best I have a complete analysis and diagnosis. I brought the table to Dan and he spent a couple days fully lubricating and cleaning all the key parts. He also realigned my cartridge and anti skate mechanism. Wow, all the issues resolved. What a great investment. I now enjoy great analog LPs as I should with VPI Turntable. While visiting I also upgraded my REL Subwoofer to the S/510 model. It's larger than the T9i I had and sounds superior. If you're reading this and don't know REL Subwoofer, give them a listen while visiting Dan, Matt it the other very knowledgeable audio experts on the team. Be sure to schedule an appointment, they are busy all the time. Many thanks to Dan and team. It is a pleasure working with experts that know how to suggest, set up and fine tune an audio system to match your budget and goals.

I figured out which one I wanted from a wide variety of products and was most impressed by the number of dedicated associates waiting in their respective departments, They always appear to be in some kind of hurried motion going somewhere but if you watch closely they never seem to have an actual destination. Incredibly, after I traversed the 30+ foot long empty, theater style line that lead to the lone checkout counter I found it to be deserted or possibly abandoned. I dismissed the idea that it was now self serve process not unlike the grocery store and waited. Then I waited some more and another person got in line. Then out of nowhere an associate appeared behind the counter and it seemed as though our long pointless suffering appeared to be over. Instead he immediately began rummaging through items on a shelf then quickly disappeared without a word. At this point, I began to try to narrow down possible explanations. A. This was a carefully planned and orchestrated experiment by Best Buy to gauge individual customer loyalty. (Perhaps future plans to reduce cahiers accordingly on a national basis?) B. A newer, crueler version of the old Candid Camera Show with the evil spin, that there's no humorous ending reveal. C. I had somehow transformed into a ghost or phantasm and was now helplessly trapped and unseen in the real world. I'm no CEO or CFO but even I know you can have the pricing, the inventory, the associates, hell even valet parking but a business model that doesn't allow for actual purchases is destined to fail. As I left empty handed the greeter inquired if I'd found everything okay and I told him everything but the cashier, taking comfort and solace in knowing that I was no longer a prisoner of the ethereal.

It WAS working and just needed a tune up and some oil. George said it would cost $475 for the service and the service charge. He came out and sprayed the jukebox with some oil and told my parents it needed some parts and would have to take it to his shop. My parents are in Their 70's and did not tell me and my sisters that they were going to use a company to service the jukebox because the first thing we would've done was look at his reviews. After weeks of no returned calls my parents went to look at their jukebox. When they arrived the jukebox had not been worked on and George was just sitting in a chair drinking a beer. He said he was just waiting for the parts to come in. George told them it would be fixed in a few days. 6 weeks later my dad made another appearance at the shop. He told my dad it would be fixed soon. My dad told George if this cannot be fixed within 4 days that he was coming to pick it up. Three days later he texts and says it's ready. My dad took my brother in law with him. He goes to the jukebox and the motor is out and the jukebox was not put together. My dad told George that he was taking it home because he said it was ready and it looked destroyed. George refused to let him take it so my dad called the police. My dad got his jukebox back! The jukebox does NOT work and so my parents paid $475 to have their jukebox destroyed! It makes me sick to my stomach that this happened to them. Shame on you George!

I went through the same hassle with him back-and-forth for about a month before he finally to delivered the jukebox that was supposed to be a year old. I paid $7100 for it the other day I looked in the back and the serial number of the machine he brought me was not the machine that I bought. I'm now waiting for a call from the fraud department to see if I can get my money back. George is a very bad man.

They let me down . . . not from the service side, as Jason is great. But from the sales side, they are horrible. And I mean, really really bad. That's because they recommend and sell brands like URC, where the (expensive) equipment lasts about 6 months, and where they don't even support you on warranties. I've got nearly $2K in URC remote stations sitting here inoperative because they won't support me. I spent nearly $5K on an extended warranty as well, and yet URC was complete garbage. Other dealerships laugh and blame Starpower for selling that kind of "utter garbage" and recommend quality brands like Control4 or Savant. So, the message here is don't trust the salesmen, just go with national/international reviews on brands and then select a dealer who has a good reputation and who sells those brands you've selected. I made the mistake of allowing them into my home and just buying what they recommended. Never again.
