It's always a good sign when you walk in on a weeknight and the place is packed with tables full of delicious food. Massive steaks and by massive I mean no smaller than 20oz. Whoa, is right. We kicked off the meal with the Octopus which was ammmmazzzing. It's so tender and very thinly sliced, served with Brussel sprouts and thin red onion. All of this on one fork is pure magic. Really. I swear. For the main show we opted for the Tagliatelle in blissful pomodoro sauce and generously topped with cheese. I mean...what more can you ask for? This is where the heaven part kicks in. One bite and your gone. We ordered a large to share which is very reasonable for the portion vs. price at $27. And because we are almost always over zealous when it comes to pasta we ordered the pasta special of the night, which was Morel mushrooms, asparagus, parm Reggiano and cauliflower purée. Also very, very good. As I'm sure it's no surprise there wasn't much room for dessert but I'll probably find a way to work this heavenly place back into the dinner round before we leave town.

We came in for lunch for valentines day 2016 and my overall experience was superb. The waitress was attentive to needs, knowledgeable of the menu, fast service and always smile. The food was also superb, we ordered the valentines day special risotto with red wine reduction to give a nice pink rose like the color. The flavor was intensely good, soft and gooey texture. Next we ordered the pappardelle which was also amazing using lamb meat, sweet peas and wild buffalo cheese on top. Pasta sauce tasted fresh, not too sour and generous offers for the meat. I highly recommend both of them. For the finale, we ordered Bistecca and it was glorious. Soft, high quality meat and lots of fat, it is worth it. I would definitely come back for more.

The also sold some parma meats, some jams and other things that go with cheese. If you go there around lunch they have a selection of grilled cheese sandwiches that look good. I go to this place always the first weekend of december and this year they had really nice handmade boxes to give jerky for christmas. This is my favourite jerky in the world!

Racial Profiling - plain clothed security…read more Went in to the 10th avenue store to look for supplements to help with my joint pain. Went to the supplement area looking for help, no one was there for ~5 minutes so I walked around till a staff member appeared and I asked for help. During that time, a plain clothed security follow me and watched me as I looked for products. Even when I was talking to a staff member, he followed us around and stared at me. After I decided on the product, I mentioned to the staff that it was very rude what the plain clothed security did to me. She said she noticed it as well and apologized. I went to the till to pay and to no surpise, the security guard was still staring at me. I them waved to him and paid. I called to complain to the main help line, told them my issue and said they would get back to me. It has been over two weeks. Probably didnt get back to me as they never asked for my contact information This is a classic case of racial profiling. No response from Community Natural Foods. Want to help a local business but not after this incident .

Absolutely shocking disgusting place that harrassed customers and lies to get them banned. We were…read moreloyal shoppers for 15+ years without incident but staff at Crowfoot location were inexplicably hostile to my mom for no reason, accusing her of stealing without proof, addressing her in a too personal way, getting too close and in her face during Covid and most recently, when she was in a hurry and late for an appointment, they refuse to help her find a supplement and just ignored or avoided her. Understandably she was upset at the horrible lack of customer service she received. Rather than apologize, they shot her down then banned her the next day. We continued shopping at the downtown branch and occasionally I would pick up emergency items from the closer Crowfoot location. One day I rushed in in a hurry to pick something up, well aware they were closing soon. The supervisor called after me, telling me they're closing soon. I continued walking, well aware they were closing soon. She said 'Did you hear me?' I paused and said quite civilly, 'Yes.' the next thing I knew, I was banned. Presumably for that! Then to add insult to injury, when we went to the downtown branch we were told we are both banned there now too! This after 15 years of no incidences and being loyal customers, this is how they treat us. I called customer 'care' thinking it was a sick mistake and they said they would forward my concern to the appropriate person but no one ever got back to me. I then emailed them, no response. I have since told all my friends and colleagues of this hateful disgusting mistreatment. They were all shocked and won't shop there either. I work in customer service and we would never ever treat anyone so horribly without provocation. Im so disgusted and offended by their appalling hateful discriminatory behaviour.
